    Thank you for removing some of the mystery. I'm sure I'll refer to this video soon enough when for whatever reason the tank needs to come off my GT.

    at 6.51 showed a perfect view of the small hose connected to the throttle body, not connected on my bike, only noticed today. The LH pipe was running dirty and backfiring more than the RHS. So i connected it up. Thanks for that close up!!

    to make your front brake line longer just make it exit on the right side of the tank next to the throttle cables no need to open the joints. there is plenty of room under the tank. you have to drop the fork legs a bit to move the line over . this will give you about 3in plenty for 33in bars with 5in rise .electrics cables are fine just need re routing.

      peter smith - thanks will have a look when the tank off, was only off yesterday. There is enough length as is for my set up. Just the throttle cables that are too short so they are running at back of fork legs at present. May get around to put longer ones on some day

    Does any of this void warranty? My dealer seems to say everything voids warranty, especially any exhaust added that's not the one S&S design.

    Another of your exceedingly good instructional videos on the Interceptor. Have you checked the valve clearances yet? It would be interesting to see how you tackle that, as it looks like the one-piece rocker cover can't be fully removed with the engine in place.

      @DormanDiaries  5 років тому +1

      Hi Baz, I’ve not checked them yet, I’ve had it’s first service at the dealer. However I’m not totally convinced they checked them so I will be doing just in case. 👍 And thank you for the nice feedback, gives me motivation to keep doing it 😊

      The rocker cover can be fully removed, I took the 3 bolts out of the ABS pump & lifted it out of the way slightly. The cover's a pain in the arse to refit because of the gasket, I used grease to hold it in the cover & that seemed to help.

    Thanks for your vids! Quick question:
    If I order a replacement tank, do you know if they come with the hoses/wires attached? Or do I have to take it off my existing tank and put them on? If so, it is an easy job? Thanks!

    • @DormanDiaries
      @DormanDiaries  3 роки тому +1

      I've not ordered one for this bike but from previous experience I would say it comes bare for you transfer over your pump and pipes etc. Probably worth ordering a new rubber gasket for the pump as that could be damaged on removal. Cheers

    Hello, I found out that the fueltank got a death stock of 0.75 liter according to the user manual. In practise I encounter a death stock of 2 liter. RE didn't respond for 2 months now on my findings. Can you test the actual fuel capacity?

      Hello,
      By dead stock do you mean fuel that never gets used, I sits in the bottom of the tank and doesn’t get to the fuel hose or that there are 2 litres from fuel light coming on to it running dry?

    • @tonvandecoevering4608

      @@DormanDiaries I mean fuel that can't be used. The manual days 0.75 ltr, but my interceptor says 2ltr. I think this is design error. One dude in the states encountered the same issue. RE is not responding to my findings.

    Different headlight and marker lights than the Canadian market version? Is the headlight glass?

    • @andrewhannam.
      @andrewhannam. 5 років тому

      Saw them in person here and noticed completely different marker lights (larger round ugly plastic things. Not the nice smaller rectangular ones everywhere else. The headlight lens is smooth and plastic like the Triumphs... The local dealer said they ran into some DOT issues with Transport Canada? Wondering if the United States have the same issues. Will be trying to get the other versions to install if I take delivery on a GT. Great videos and wow that is some tidy wiring on the frame. My Thruxton 900 is a mess under the tank in comparison. Cheers

      @DormanDiaries  5 років тому

      Andrew Hannam I’m not a huge fan of this style of markers either and I’m contemplating changing. I’ll be keeping connectors all stock though so can reverse everything. I’m going to try my best not to chop the loom at all.
