Make a layered pair of earrings using a polymer Clay!

Ok! Hello!
Its been awhile and I feel like EVERY time I upload I say that, even though I always have the intention of a regular filming schedule time just gets away from me!
This may feel like a random one but this month (May 2023) in The Makers Narrative we are talking about the importance of prototyping our designs, figuring out how to make your vision come to life. I wanted to film this snippet to share here so you could kind of see the process we go through - but also how important it is to keep challenging ourselves.
The challenge was to take a shape cutter I hardly use and figure out a way to make something amazing! Now no shade to the shape at all or the amazing creatives that designed it - I obviously bought it because I loved it at the time and I did use it in the past but just like many creatives I change my mind and my designs evolve, the cutters themselves are sharp and amazing quality. My favorite Polymer Clay Suppliers in Australia
I really like a one stop shop, there are loads of suppliers out there but these 3 are tried and tested and in my own opinion by far the best in terms of quality customer service and care, with a high quality range of supplies that are curated for makers by makers. There are lots of other suppliers out there and you might have other preferences but these are just my favs!

Love these so much!! Question… do you need to use liquid clay to stick all the layers together? Or do they stick when baking? Sorry newbie question!

Good question - No! Raw clay will stick to raw clay.
