Bringing you the 2nd installment of projects featuring this delicious colour way. This video has two techniques for applying the "details" the first one is basically applique technique - now I will be totally honest I googled that because I was trying to figure out how to explain what I was doing. I have always just referred to it as 3D Patterns or detailing. But the actual term of "applique" is absolutely the best way to describe it!
The second technique is grating or sprinkling clay! Using a micro plane or grater which every you have, either way both of these are using my new colour recipes which I created exclusively for The Makers Narrative my amazing creative community. You don't need to use these colours like i have said in the video you can totally choose your own!
I hope you enjoy this one! I absolutely adore my custom Peace Sign cutter from Arc and Curve, they are ultra sharp and high quality! I will link them below. Happy creating friends, comment below and I will do my best to reply, I have so many video ideas on my list now but I would love to know what you would like to see?
See you for the next video! Don't forget to Subscribe it means the world to our little family!

My favorite Polymer Clay Suppliers in Australia
I really like a one stop shop, there are loads of suppliers out there but these 3 are tried and tested and in my own opinion by far the best in terms of quality customer service and care, with a high quality range of supplies that are curated for makers by makers. There are lots of other suppliers out there and you might have other preferences but these are just my favs!
Blackbird & Violet - Cody & the team have one of the most amazing custom acrylic product selections, hand poured resin molds, 3D printed shape cutters with the option to create custom cutters, supplies for resin, polymer clay - oh and of course they carry our tools!
    www.blackbirdandviolet.com/
Over the Rainbow - Heather & the team are in my opinion the OG suppliers, they are where I started buying from and I have had the most amazing support from them always! You may even fins some of my tools and images of my work over there!

The Whimsical Bead - Dani is one of the most talented and kindest makers I know, her workshops are top notch and she stocks amazing supplies - her service is fast, efficient and personalized - its really dangerous doing workshops because the impulse buying happens every time!

Just curious why you use 2 different Dremels for the drilling and the buffing? I'm considering getting a Dremel Stylo for drilling and buffing, but it's caught my attention that you use the Micro for drilling and not the Stylo.

It’s just because it’s easier I don’t have to change out my drill bits - you can’t buy Dremel Micros anymore I don’t think (well I can’t find them here) so if I didn’t have the micro I would have two stylos one for drilling and one for sanding. It’s just easier :)

Where did you get the peace cutter?

I do say in the video it is a custom cutter that I had made from Arc & Curve. I’m pretty sure a quick search in Etsy would find something very similar :)

Most likely it will be they type of clay you're using and the curing process. Make sure you are using a strong clay - Sculpey Premo or Souffle, Cernit or Fimo. Cure at the correct temp (not higher or lower) for at least 30min-40min. Don't use Sculpey 3

Thank you so much for that information! I'd say my oven isn't the most reliable, I'll give that a go and most definitely will purchase those brands. I don't like the idea of resin, so fingers crossed 😊
