    A very well presented and comprehensive tutorial, thank you for taking the time to produce this.
    Regarding the Bluetooth fob, can it ge disabked via the app, for example if you loose it?

    i got a question, since the key must to always stay n the cylinder, so the door can not be opened from outside by the key, because when there's key on the door from one side the key can not open it , at least our door is like this

      You must use a cylinder with emergency function. Please check at 18:00 of the video.

      The pro version has wifi functionality built in. Be aware that as it uses more power to run the WiFi radio the battery life will be impacted.

    Hello there,
    First of all, nice explanation & video👌keep it up!
    Secondly, I would like to ask the following: Let's assume that I have built in Alexa on smart control panels in the house (alexa device anyway), can anyone trigger the Alexa from the outside and unlock the door? Right?
    Or is there any 2nd layer of protection like GPS coordination and/or Bluetooth connection that needs to be already established in order for the Nuki to trigger and proceed to unlock the door?
    I hope my questions are clear!
    Thank you for your time :)

      I learned from another video than during the setup of this lock with Alexa it asks for s pin number to assign to the lock, this pin will be asked for befor alexa will execute the command.

    If your door doesn't have a lever outside and you open it with the key half turn, does nuki have a function or settings to do that ??

    • @PoseidwnTech
      @PoseidwnTech  4 місяці тому

      Yes of course! Under general settings you can adjust the Unlatch duration for example 3 seconds. From the app, instead of selecting Unlock you can select Open door.

    Hi, interesting video. Your key is similar to mine, which protrudes 40mm from the cylinder (and not a maximum of 37 as indicated). Yours? do you think it's a problem? Thanks in advance

    • @PoseidwnTech
      @PoseidwnTech  6 місяців тому

      You are right! In the video I used a key that protruded from cylinder more that 37mm and I highly recommend not to do it. After the video I ordered shorter keys!

    will there be any alert if use emergency key to open the door? Just if case if a theft open the door with his key, will the lock alert on my phone?

    • @PoseidwnTech
      @PoseidwnTech  9 місяців тому

      You will receive a notification "Manually Unlocked" butt there isn't any alert.

    What happens when the battery is discharged? Does the lock open automatically?

    • @PoseidwnTech
      @PoseidwnTech  6 місяців тому

      No it will not open! Remember that you can manually unlock the door by turning the knob (inside) or using your key (outside). Of course you will receive a notification when battery is low and the lock's LED will be red. In my house when the battery is low I wait until night and then I lock the door, I remove the battery pack and I charge it over night. In the morning I reconnect the battery pack and I use the lock as usual. We use a lot our Nuki so in my case the battery lasts for about 4 months.

    8:34 but hang on… is the outer casket simply shoved on and clicks into place? If so, cannot anybody come along and remove it, and then manually open the door? Even take the key? Does not seem very secure to me - am I missing something?

    hey all,
    one small question, how secure is this?
    if someone has access to this box, is not possible to brake it and use the key?
    do i miss something?

    • @PoseidwnTech
      @PoseidwnTech  6 місяців тому +1

      The smart lock is installed on the interior side of the door. Therefore, for someone to access it, he must be inside the house.

    This lock moves all around when locking and unlocking and it looks like it doesn't have a solid mount which is not good.

    • @PoseidwnTech
      @PoseidwnTech  Рік тому +2

      There was indeed a point in the video that lock moves a little bit during locking (11:40) and that was because I used a key that protruded from cylinder more that 37mm and not because it wasn't mounted securely on the cylinder. Of course after changing the key everything was normal. Thanks for pointing this out!
