I think you’re officially my favorite poker vlogger Lex. I love your work ethic, your style of play, and your personality. You show the ups and down and relate to the people watching your videos. We all have gotten our aces cracked. Some maybe for even more money then what you lost. But you acknowledge that and connect with us even when you’re losing. That’s what makes you a great poker player and vlogger. Keep it up man, you’ll definitely bounce back. We ain’t worried about that at all! Thank you for the amazing content!
I too appreciate how Lex just doesn’t load his videos with fake win after win but shows every good win and every burn. Poker vids are only good (and educational) if real. To many vloggers are obviously not being as honest as they should be (like the guy who loses on live streams but wins 9 out of 10 times in his videos).
Playing 5/5 max 1k buy-in. Im in for $800. Been seated 10 minutes. Noticed it's a very aggressive table. Woman to my right straddles for $20. I look down at AA. I make it $40. One caller. Next guy with about $6k goes all-in. Folds around. Of course I call. Other player folds. We're heads up. 9 T J K 2. Guy turns over QQ. I decided it wasn't wise to rebuy while on tilt. Went home.
God love you Lex! That was a tough last hand especially with the Ah blocker and bricking it off twice, I appreciate how real you are on the vlogs it's one of the many reasons I look forward to watching new ones come out. Sorry I didn't get a chance to see you during your time here. Safe travels back to FL!
That's not what a cold call is. Cold call is calling a 3 bet or 4 bet before you've done anything in the hand. This guy 3 bet then just called the 4 bet. If for example the small blind called his 260 3 bet, that player would be cold calling
As always Lex i appreciate your being up front. I'm sure many of us regulars can relate. Looking forward to you being on the positive side of variance.
@5:25 Did you really reach over and count down his 4-bet chips yourself? C'mon Lex, that's a big no-no, and I'm pretty sure you know that. I don't think you had any nefarious or malicious intent, but that's pretty tilting just to watch. LOL
Honest with hands and emotions as always. Why you are one of my favourite vloggers there's no bs and it always feels like we really experience the highs and lows with you. Keep up the great content and work lex. The best thing about variance is it'll swing back soon enough.
That last hand, you had us hooked, very suspenseful, great lead-up. I honestly thought you had it. My jaw dropped when I saw the hearts, honestly felt like those AA were my cards. Nice vlogging Lex
Thanks for the video, it is great watching the real ups and downs instead of a monotonous stream of winning hands. We appreciate you, Lex, keep up the good work.
As I have followed a bunch of poker vloggers for a year or so now, it really is one of the best aspects of your vlog that you show your losses as well, lex. If I just watched my other poker vlogger content I would think that you're supposed to be winning like 90% of sessions and that the size of most losses is never in the range of the size of even the average win. Either all these other poker vloggers have insane run good or you're the only one keeping it real. And I think we know which one it is. Keep your head up Lex.
Hats off to my second favorite Hokie poker player (brother Dave!), but favorite vlogger. Appreciate the journey and sharing of living the ups and downs of the pro-poker life vicariously!
Thanks Lex O for another vlog, I look forward to each new vlog and the poker journey your on, the AA v 86h hand was really tough to watch, but you know what you played it 100 correct, if your folding every time in that spot because you think he has a flush your not making money long term. I liked the orbit of folding, love to see that hands in between the big hands. It just makes it real, You belong at 5/10 and higher keep being positive and trust the process man. From down under in Australia 🇦🇺 keep going mate 👍👍😀
Thanks for always sharing your experience playing poker with us, it’s really cool to see how it really goes man, hoping for things to turn around for you 👍🏼
You are one of my favorite poker bloggers. Your video style and analysis are excellent! Your end of video summary was perfect! You’ll be over 100K subs soon!
Excellent video my friend! We've all been there done that. Losing with AA with A heart, vs 86hh... tough loss. But that is what we signed up for, it is part of the life of a poker player.
Good luck to the next vlog. That’s how poker is but you do play right though. Now days there’s a lot of videos out there where people can learn from other players. Poker is a beautiful game. Nice seeing your videos. Keep it going Lex, really support you 💪
Accordingly I recommend playing the nut flush draw as if you have a very strong made hand, check raising it or overbetting it on flop and/or turn if there is money behind. Then when you finally over flush one of these nits, it will feel even better than Asian massage.
I love how right up until the point where he tabled a flush I thought you had won this hand. Great job bringing us along for the ride (without spoilers)!
No matter how much of a pot you are or how much you think and use math or logic in a poker hand, the worst player you could be up against is that which logic cannot be used against. When someone calls a 4bet of 800$ pre flop, you cannot put them on a 86hh, ever. And even if you put them on a hearts draw, holding a Ace of hearts, you are putting them on Khx hands. Which is again stupid in a 4bet callers range.
gotta lead for $200v w JJ on river, targeting QQ, he would not have checked full house twice and u cant expect a bet after check check, small value bet on river is standard and easy fold to a raise
Lex really helps me to hone in on the realities of poker. Sometimes when I’m just playing 1-2 sessions I feel like quitting after I lose 300. Lex shows what it’s really like to play poker full time and it takes courage to keep fighting despite the losses. You got my respect and inspire to keep playing the game I love.
Fun fact for viewers that want to help promote Lex's vids. You don't actually have to share the vid to help boost the UA-cam algorithm. Simply pressing share and copying the link counts as a share for UA-cam I believe. I hope the luck turns around soon, Lex!
Tough beat for the AA. You had a dangerous player with a stack to gamble on your left, and sometimes they get flops they aren't getting away from... especially vs short stacks. He had 14 outs to see a turn vs your over pair, and he got good Pot Odds. Hang in there!
3 betting with 86, calling a strong 4 bet and binking everything. Guy is more lucky than any sort of pro. Losing to those people is the most maddening thing.
Lex I play 1/3 no limit Holdem here in Houston Texas at legends poker club and 101 poker club. The action is absolutely insane at these places and 1/3 plays like 2/5.I’ve had my aces crack many times it’s part of the game. It definitely doesn’t feel good to get them cracked by no means. If you ever get to Houston check these rooms out I don’t think you will be disappointed it’s Texas poker and nobody likes to fold especially preflop. I been with you since you started watch every vlog always look forward to one. Sending you all the run good for your next sessions. Hope to meet you one day peace out lex.
You're a beast Lex💪🧠💪 Taking a tough month like a champ! You're very self aware and in the moment while dealing with the ups and downs of being on the road (solo) fighting off your negative thoughts and variance. As Worm once said "It's noble work you're doing" but in this case it's said with no snarkiness and only support🤗 🤜🤛
Same exact thing happened to me at the Wynn w KK guy had 43h… hit his flush in the turn… didn’t believe him … felted… now back in the humidity feeling better !
Had my AA cracked by KK @ Hard Rock Hollywood Fla 2 weeks ago. All In K come on the river. 400 dollars pot went poof... Oh well. There is always next hand.. I really enjoy your vlogs.. Keep up the good work.
Everyone here needs to hit up your poker friends, home game friends, even your pets. Get them to subscribe to our boy Lex. This guy is out there grinding in all the games we want to play all over the country. He should have at least 100K subscribers. Let’s Go!
Wow damn Lex that last hand was a tough one. That's what is so frustrating about action players, in one sense you can definitely win a lot of money from them. On the other hand, they will call 3 and 4 bet hands with all sorts of stuff, hence 86hh. I mean the flop seemed perfect, turn you pick up the nut draw and he already had you beat smh. It's a shame. I have a few friends out on Vegas now and they agreed with you, the games were pretty terrible. Lots of pros, very few action games, it just wasn't good. Hope Florida brings some better run good and luck for you.
The sad thing that makes me tilt the most about these spots is: I'm never going to have the 86h in that position for the reverse cooler... But oh boy does my opponents like to cooler me, by playing like that!
Great vlog Lex, that's the luck of the draw some times it happens to all poker players at some point. Just take the good with the bad and move on keep you head up and never let them see you sweat.
My... man... that was heartbreaking. Iv noticed in spots like this in big cash games you want to 4 bet to 4.5-5x because of this exact hand. When alot of money is at play the villain has to be willing to put alot more if they want to play hands like that. Better to win 330 than to lose 5k even if he fold. Garrett Adelstein is a perfect example if you go and watch some of the Hustler live streams you will see that with his big hands he will make it 5X the previous bet in spots like this so only Ks Qs AK and sometimes Js will call. Just a little friendly advice. Its worked for me and i think it might help with some of these bigger games. Anyways, best of luck to you and i hope you gettem next time champ!✌️
Tough getting those aces cracked pro. Happened to me Monday night, for a 2300 pot not 11500! Still stings though. With the ace of hearts in my hand I would have made the exact same play against that action player too. Enjoy your work and content, been playing for 30 years and still learning every day! Thanks
I think one of the hardest part about poker is determine value on small connector hands or big boardway hands or middle pocket pairs preflop and play accordingly. I would bet huge on the flop and/or turn if I have a hand that I can't fold no matter what with a non dry board, like 25% to 30% of ( pot + effective stack ) to just BREAK EVEN with any draw hand that other players are drawing to beat my hand. You have to bet pot or more on the flop with AA hand although the outcome would have been the same.
I appreciate your comments! I can absolutely relate to the negative variance. Can’t we all! You keep it real and I appreciate that. When are you coming back to Dallas? You know we have a good games at the Texas Card House
I know what you mean by getting your top pair cracked. I am more of a tournament player myself. I was in a tournament not long ago and had a massive amount of chips, over $300,000, when a guy in seat 3 tripled the blind, making it $30,000. The guy in seat 4 then bet $70,000. I was in seat 7 and had pocket Kings. I went all in. Guy in seat 3 folded, seat 4 called with pocket Sevens. When the cards were dealt the guy with Sevens caught one for trips. I didn't catch a King and got knocked out of the tournament because the guy with Sevens had about $40,000 chips more than me. I could have been near the chip lead, but no. 😞😖😩
If it’s any consolation, for the last month I’ve been massively coolered again and again to the tune of about 10g’s. The bad news is that I’ve decided to drop down a level until the luck changes; the good news is I know ever person I play can’t suck out on the river forever!! Variance happens at different times and different length of times but if you play solid and don’t overextend the old bankroll, the cream will rise to the top.
I love that you included the bad hands too. If you could do more videos on including all hands you have and the way you acted, that would be appreciated! We can see how you act on great hands but want to see how you win smaller pots with mediocre hands too 🤝💯
Lex, you probably don't remember me but we met in Texas. I was actually in one of your vlog hands. I lost an 11k pot set under set later that trip. Feeling your pain on this one. You're a good player, you'll be back to crushing soon.
Lex, I am not a Pro. However having 3 suited cards on the board should have had the sign flashing "danger, danger, danger" yes you might have still lost money but going all in, I probably would have folded. It was right there in front of You. Really enjoy your vlogs and keep yur head up, OK.
Hi Lex! I really agree you played great in both sessions and I have a feeling that cutting your teeth in some tough games in LV will bode well for you back in FL. Good luck!
Almost to 45,000 subs!
P.s. Rogue 🐕 will be in next video!
Videos looking good
Congrats! You'll be at 50k in no time.
Showing a full orbit of hands is terrific!!! Include it in every vid🍻🍻

$260 with 8h6h then calling a raise to $800…..man, I gotta work that play into my game 😳🤪
Implied odds.
That's not what a cold call is. Cold call is calling a 3 bet or 4 bet before you've done anything in the hand. This guy 3 bet then just called the 4 bet.
If for example the small blind called his 260 3 bet, that player would be cold calling
the pot is 2k, and he bet 450, basically welcoming him to draw for cheap.
@@hellokittyr either way he flopped top pair and a flush draw. Would of ended the same. That’s the advantage of having a huge stack
If you know what your opponent has AND your image is such that a thinking player will pay you off than absolutely work this play in...
That one was tough…keep the positive attitude, that’s what makes you great.

Yep, we've all had our aces cracked for sure. Action players are nice to have on the felt, until they get lucky. Thanks for sharing Lex. 👍
Thank you for changing that typical blogging music at the beginning. This intro was 50x better lol
Tough loss, thanks for being honest and showing good days and bad.

Good video. Long time viewer. I’ve said it before. Love the honesty. And yes I can think of an aces cracked story. Lol good luck. The cards will turn.
Love your videos man. You're so humble. I learn lots from watching you. Keep it up!!
Love the explanations in the beginning! Please start doing more of that
Tough beat for the AA. You had a dangerous player with a stack to gamble on your left, and sometimes they get flops they aren't getting away from... especially vs short stacks. He had 14 outs to see a turn vs your over pair, and he got good Pot Odds. Hang in there!

My heart dropped when he showed that horrid 68 flush :( What a way to have Aces cracked.
3 betting with 86, calling a strong 4 bet and binking everything. Guy is more lucky than any sort of pro. Losing to those people is the most maddening thing.

Feel you pain, man. Had aces cracked last night, but I don’t really sweat it. It’s going to happen, and next time I’ll be the one with the set.
Great video. Thank you for showing the losing hands. Makes it more realistic for a poker video watcher. Keep your head up, great content
Same exact thing happened to me at the Wynn w KK guy had 43h… hit his flush in the turn… didn’t believe him … felted… now back in the humidity feeling better !
Always look forward to your vlogs Lex. That 8-6 heart call sounds like my home game. I feel your pain but you always handle it so well. Cheers
Sick hand aces vs 8/6 suited. Guy was not stupid but he is lucky!
Had my AA cracked by KK @ Hard Rock Hollywood Fla 2 weeks ago. All In K come on the river. 400 dollars pot went poof... Oh well. There is always next hand.. I really enjoy your vlogs.. Keep up the good work.

Feel your pain Lex. Better hands to ya
Bad luck Legend ... just remember when you hit rock bottom that as the brilliant song by Yazz says - the only way is up👍
tough last hand there. 4 bet pot with 8/6 something that happens but hurts hard
The sad thing that makes me tilt the most about these spots is:
I'm never going to have the 86h in that position for the reverse cooler... But oh boy does my opponents like to cooler me, by playing like that!
Great vlog Lex, that's the luck of the draw some times it happens to all poker players at some point. Just take the good with the bad and move on keep you head up and never let them see you sweat.

Music been getting better as well!!
love your honesty. appreciate it
“Life is not about how hard you can hit. It’s about how hard you can hit and get up over and over again and moving forward.” Rocky Balboa
Damn! That was tuff to watch. Aces getting cracked is probably one of the worst feelings in any game or sport you can have.
My... man... that was heartbreaking.
Sorry to see that last hand. I know it hurts! Better Luck next time. We'll be watching. PS. You need Rogue with you for some good luck. :)
On the AA hand, you could never fold to a nitty player based on the preflop action. It’s just a cooler
Tough getting those aces cracked pro. Happened to me Monday night, for a 2300 pot not 11500! Still stings though. With the ace of hearts in my hand I would have made the exact same play against that action player too. Enjoy your work and content, been playing for 30 years and still learning every day! Thanks
Nice work Lex! We’ve all definitely been there. U’ll bounce back and crush those FL tables when you get home.
Nice one Lex. Liked this vlog.

AK vs JJ last night. Two aces on the flop. Jack on the turn. Stacks went in. Feels bad man.
Definitely been there having aces cracked! Hang in there Lex!
Wild player calling 4 bets preflop with suited gap connectors below a 10!
Sounds like a juicy juicy game
I appreciate your comments! I can absolutely relate to the negative variance. Can’t we all! You keep it real and I appreciate that. When are you coming back to Dallas? You know we have a good games at the Texas Card House
It’s ok lex. Come back home and win the TOURNY in Hollywood at the hard rock.
I later found out the guy who knocked me out didn't even cash. 😝
I had a session where I got AA six times and lost everyone so don't feel too bad Lex.
Thank you for showing your bad beats as well as your wins. I’m glad I found your channel by far the best poke vlogger I subscribed to.
If it’s any consolation, for the last month I’ve been massively coolered again and again to the tune of about 10g’s. Man that was a massive cooler wish you all the best from London Uk
You played that right. Just part of the game
That sucks bro. You were right about the loose range at least.
Love your videos Lex!

Lex, you probably don't remember me but we met in Texas. I was actually in one of your vlog hands. I lost an 11k pot set under set later that trip. Feeling your pain on this one. You're a good player, you'll be back to crushing soon.
Trying to help get you a rebate! Enjoyed the vlog. Safe travels!
My AA once cracked twice in short times, I cracked AAKK too, that’s poker!
wish u all the best. love from germany

Lex, I am not a Pro. However having 3 suited cards on the board should have had the sign flashing "danger, danger, danger" yes you might have still lost money but going all in, I probably would have folded. It was right there in front of You.
Really enjoy your vlogs and keep yur head up, OK.
Ouch. Similar cracked aces in Vegas in June. Much lower stakes.
Hi Lex! I really agree you played great in both sessions and I have a feeling that cutting your teeth in some tough games in LV will bode well for you back in FL. Good luck!
Thursdays is getting cracked was definitely rough! I definitely know the feeling
