Lex I really appreciate all the work that you're putting in: playing and recording, editing on your phone, all by yourself and vlogging more frequently than most of the other vloggers. Thank you ever so much for all the entertainment :)
I love that you show hands that you don’t get much action or you end up folding to a c-bet on the flop!
I noticed other vloggers tend to only show hands that go to showdown or they win so thank you for the varied content. Helps my game
A 5k downswing over 2 days at those stakes isn't bad. Don't get yourself in a bad frame of mind by expecting big losses and watch the tilt if you are having a bad session and try to limit how much you lose. Always remember that variance isn't about a session, or two, or three, but about playing a lot of hands over time. Love your vids and keep up the grind, variance will swing back your way.
I really like ur dog...that innocent look on his face so happy to go out for a walk!
Please take good care of him =)
Down 5k in two sessions isn't bad playing bigger stakes. I remember Brad and Andrew talking about moving up in stakes and taking shots. If ya win, stay there if ya lose, move back down but occasionally take shots till ya hit your stride up top. Keep playing strong...you're doing great!!!
I love that you show the tough folds and not just your winning hands. Helps learn.
Crazy with the 10’s.
Couple years ago I play a 24 session. I had AA 14 times, KK 12 times. And every other poket pair at least a couple times each. It was a 10/20 limit game. Even crazier I only lost with my AA’s once that day
Damn, that's nuts! Figure 25 hands per hour, those odds are outstanding! Hope you needed a guard on the way out!💰
I’m going to start watching your vlog more as my clothes are now magically all _folded_ just because I watched, liked, and subscribed.
Im impressed with ALL the premium hands you received and as well the ability to fold. Can’t believe how bad you ran this session. Very impressed.
After the first five nightmares of pocket tens I didn't expect you to do another but you finally hit one
Love the outro bro. Looks nice and Rouge is very playful out there!
Good luck on a turn around
“His name is Chris Moneymaker” Lex says causally 😂
Huge bet on the river in the TT hand where 6 pairs on the river screams “I have 89 and just got counterfeit by any A or overpair and don’t want to lose this hand” to me. Great vlog as usual.
....."These are the times in poker that make you so frustrated you just want to flip over the entire table"...A classic line by Lex for all exasperated by the game of poker....
Long time viewer and fan - love the videos bro! Also love rogue!!!
Wow, tough session. You made a lot of folds that were difficult, especially in Texas, giving people a lot of credit when they put you in tough situations. Looking forward to the next session and hope it treats you better!
I watched the last live stream, love when you’re on and when you’re commenting! We love you in Dallas sir!
Lex, I like watching your channel because you are a solid💪, thinking🧠 poker player. No punts 🏈🏈 on this channel.
Sure you dreamed with that pocket 10's. What a tough session, but it shows a little of how much resilience you gotta have to endure the downswings and the hard days on the felt. Always nice to see Rogue at the end!
Thanks for the transparency! Most appreciated
GREAT VLOG!!!! Keep up your killer content, very genuine approach & relatable poker endeavors!
00:07:30 Hand I'm pretty sure that's a river bluff with a Royal suited Ace (probably Spades, but clubs also possible). On that board, after you call 2 streets a REC with an OP usually shuts down and takes his showdown. Unless he had specifically 99, that was bluff.
Yeah I don't think he'd be shoving river with an overpair there since he 3bet preflop prob ace x of spades or clubs
"The tilt is starting to creep up"....classic Lex O
Enjoy your vlog. You are one my favorite poker players. I have a harness for my pup and it works great. She does a lot better with it versus the leash hooked to her collar.
Stoked to see a new lex vlog drop, thank you very cool big sog
PERFECT time for AK. And I ain't talking about the cards.
How do you like the insane driving style in DFW?
Lex: A man and his dog playing poker across America ever searching for the elusive pot monster.
Hi Lex, I met you in person two days ago at TX card house, pleasure meeting you, hope to link up in a tournament soon.
Hey Lex! Do you have a preference for Dallas or do you think you would ever spend a few months out in Austin with all the vloggers there right now
Great Vlog Lex! Was the Moneymaker guy the Main Event Champion Moneymaker?
Lots of Texas content and I keep seeing Lake Park GC hahaha! You making Texas home soon?
You're in texas and seeing monsters under the bed. If you're scared to call busted draws, you should just start folding pocket pairs preflop
Good vlog bud. Gotta think that without those tight folds may have cost much more. Well done!
Daneil N. - "There's no such thing as a value bluff, you just didn't know what you were doing" Couldn't help it, great videos, keep up the good work, enjoy these heavily, big fan.
wow 10s are coming in every hand or not.. GL Lex !
Can’t wait to see you rebound from the rough sesh, happens for sure
Hey Lex, usually I have a lot to say, but dang, those pocket 10s have to be a record. I'm going to drive 3 hrs to play cash and a tournament. First time in 2 yrs. I've been studying my bleep off. Wish me luck brother. Good luck on the grind my dude. See ya soon. 😊
Best way to wake up! Poker and rogue😁
im here for the dogs of the vlogs
Lex.. love your stuff man! Please cap your cards, especially when you’re sitting close to the dealer :)
Only think you got a bit more sticky on flops and turns, thus more folds on the river. Understood that folding too often makes you exploitable but perhaps you overdid that this session. Of course we didn’t see all your hands and maybe you were correct in your fold/call/raise frequency. Love the vlog, don’t mind if you change levels during one of them at all. I actually play lower stakes and learn more when you’re playing 2/5 or lower. The 5/10 higher games are vicarious pleasure but of little help to my game. Keep it up and good luck
rogue was fun towatch, great dog!
enjoying the vids!! as far as the bigger games, don't try to over do it just for the vlog. i enjoy the realness of you vids, so no shame in staying in smaller stakes a bit longer if that's what keeps you going.
Thank you for all the contents! Do you mind sharing what you use for video editing?
great vlog! Thanks!
I really didn't think you could be behind most of your opponents range in the 1700 hand. Yes, all over pairs, but is this opponent betting for value with those hands on this board?
I'm a rec player, and I don't trust ppl instinctively, so shoot me. ;)
Love the Rouge countdown!!
THANKS FOR SHARING PLAY TIME WITH ROGUE HE IS AWESOME GOD KNEW WHAT WE NEEDED WHEN HE GAVE US THESE WONDERFUL CREATURES
missed the timestamps ! great vlog as usual
Not sure if you were being coy when you mention you're playing with Chris Moneymaker. He won the 2003 WSOP main event and is attributed with revolutionizing poker after being the first ever WSOP main event winner to qualify for the event through an online satellite tournament.
Playing some big games!!! Love it!
Pocket 10's was your "golden sombrero" for the day
Is Rogue licking above his front paw too much, Looks like there's a wound there. Thanks for doing the poker vlog.
I once got pocket 6's 7 times within a span of 30 minutes at TCH Dallas. Super weird feeling.
Watched the live stream and you couldn't get any hands to work. Good luck on your future sessions...
Holy cow! Those 10s!
That's a lot of 10's. Great vlog!
What apps do you need to successfully do this all on your phone boss?
What phone do you use?
You had more pocket pairs in this vlog that I got in my last 6 sessions combined.
You're killing lex keep up the content!
Thanks for taking your dog off leash. He needs more of that. GL
You played solid , just didn't get the cards. Stay positive and love the videos
Hey Lex, thinking of starting a vlog. Are you comfortable saying how much you make from youtube revenue?
I really like the honesty in ur videy
Always appreciate your Vlog
Rogue is the real star of show!
Really like your poker videos .
Lex O poker is killing as usually
I think you didnt play enough variation in the highstakes game
Back to Lex O Blister hands! 🤣
Congrats, on thinking through the AJJ flop and river raise of $2500. You obviously were right, plus he didn’t have a diamond to continue with no matter how little more. Clearly you could have been wrong and he bet knowing you wouldn’t believe a big bet and lost. I have seen guys raise so high every time that unless you have the nuts you have to fold. It’s all about not playing for more than you are willing to lose. I am very likely worth easy 10x more than you yet I would feel to guilty to risk so much. Hello tournaments. It’s a blast watching you though. God bless and if you are ever in SB CA you have a place to stay and enjoy the beaches.
Love the dog!
Why the cards look so beat up? Don't they replace them every hour?
Did you ever find out what the villain had at the 7 minute mark? 94467 board that he bet three streets. Did you ever consider that you were under repped and that he could be over valuing a hand like A9?
I don’t think he ever takes that line with A9. Pre flop he would not 3 bet that hand from my early open
From now on, fold pocket 10's pre-flop..😁
You give so much damn credit lex stop that crap there is so much bluffs in range that you don't even think of
Liked and Subscribed.
I’m like fairly confident you folded the best hand in massive pots 3 separate times
I got demolished the other day. Like for instance I 3 bet pocket 8 flop top set, lose to a straight v a7 suited which had the world with 2 hearts and 3 to his straight on the board. Lost pocket jacks 3 times on low boards, lost straight vs low flush, I was only playing 1-2 but lost 1k always with second nuts
He was planning on leaving on first orbit when I arrived but after that just only had the nuts
I think you would've won one or two of those folds.. tough sesh but appreciate the vid
Pocket Tens are now called, The Lex O...
you are crazy lex
Take it easy Lex O $25/50 seems a little steep that is a nose bleed level, although it can be great when your hot. Looks like Rogue had some pinned up energy!
Your reads are usually right so can’t complain but man you have been more conservative than usual with folding all those 10 10.
Love the Rogue notice! What a great lil buddy!
Really would have liked to see you value bet your full house rather than set the trap. You were playing slightly tilted so I get it but you had great equity going into the river regardless of the turn. Your opponents calling range was still wide open even after the board paired. So a value bet would have been great. I will say that you have to mix in some losing calls with those pairs for situations like this hand. It all depends on the table but if players think your willing to call or bet light that sets up a nice over bet or pot size bet in that spot too. Just something to consider.
Yea I agree.
I mean he couldve won a bigger pot check raising if his opponent happens to have a strong hand such as a flush but its hard to make a flush, in most cases your opponent will have some sort of a pair on the board.
And given that Lex has a bit of tighter image, theres a good chance his opponent will just fold out after being check raised.
I think in ur(Lex) case it seems more profittable for you to just straight up value bet unless you have a dead read ur opponent also has a pre strong hand.
Gotta bet the boat there, particularly after putting the opponent on a flush or straight, as stated during the commentary of the hand after the turn... According to the logic that was narrated, a crying call was made with a set of 10s while putting the opp on a turned flush--- then the river was checked to the opp after he boated up...
In some scenarios, pocket 10s is a 3 bet hand post flop, just to see where you are as opposed to calling 2 streets and folding every time.. why not raise or re-raise the flop if you're just going to put the money in anyway? At least you can put your opponent in some tough spots
Jeez Lex you played 1010 so damn passively. Not 1 3bet pre at all the first 4 times you got them, I mean seriously, you're just waiting for all your opponents to catch up when they're behind. Why not try a 3bet pre or try a flop raise? Then you finally have a board with all unders and you stay in the entire time only to fold the river smh. Sure it's a big bet but there is also a poker saying that if you are planning to call the turn and no scary cards come on the river you need to call the river bet too!! Sorry man poorly poorly played imo pretty much all your 1010 hands, especially the one with the $1700 river shove by your opponent. I love your dog though.
Crazy pocket 10 s that many times. 1 out of 5
Baby snort snort said hurry up dad!
1st 4 times with 10s you tried to flat, then call RRs..... if this was lower stakes would you have ever 3/4 bet? You played them different at the lower stakes, obvs helped as you hit sets twice just wonder if the stakes impacted on your 3 / 4 bet decisions
The $1700.00 all in should been a bet blocker of $100.00
Helps put his brains in the blender a little..👍😀
Gonna have to nickname pocket 10's "The Lex"
On the road a long time now. Got to be tough!
I guess I need move up in stakes. I play 1-3 with max buyin between 300-600. I play in Tunica so it’s mostly old heads that play the game and they play almost every hand. Lost count on how many time AA has been cracked by garbage like 94 off or similar hands. I just can’t bring myself to up the stakes. How do I get over the fear?
If you have a loose table calling with 94 garbage then you need to widen your raising range preflop. It sucks you get aces cracked, but I’ve been on the other end where I raise preflop with 37o and cracked aces that only call (like an old head would).
Taking aggressive lines and over folding the river/jams is the exploit to most 1/2 games.
Gotta build a strat around pocket 10s......
Old Perv in me...loved the background at the 0:42 mark LOLSorry...well kinda.
My advice, just fold AK damn. Great video Lex
