Wow, what a great job, looks so clean, what a difference!
Thank you!
Love watching your videos . We have just begun a similar project on our 34” trawler style Clipper here in Australia. So many things your encountering, we are too ! Best of luck and keep up the great work !
Thank you! Good luck with your project as well!
Looking great
Thanks! It's coming along...
Great job on that head!!!!
Ex commercial fisherman, I know what you are up against!!
Hey thanks! Toilets job number next (or so)!
So enjoying your videos! We have a 38 CHB that we are redoing - wondering where you sourced the wall paneling you used? Thanks
Home Depot!
I think you should of let it dry out before you rebuilt the bulkhead
No worries there, it was dry!
What was the ,arterial you used on the walls in the head?
It was a plastic panel from Home Depot. Nothing fancy!
Can I ask how did you seal the corners , joins etc what with ? Just sika flex ?
If you are talking about where the shower panels join, we used PVC quarter round trim and then bathroom caulking around that to give it a nice seal and clean look. I can look up the exact caulking we used if that's what you were interested in! Thanks!
It’s GE paintable silicone supreme. Has mold resistance and hopefully won’t yellow.
im sorry but that bulkhead replacement job isnt really a job, its a bodge.
Doing the best we can with what we have, thanks for watching!
@@aboardladyhawk im hoping you didnt took what i said too hard, though i was very assertive.
i would have just removed the next panel which seemed (to me at least, maybe im wrong) to be wet and replaced the whole thing, and investigated (which you probably- done) if there were further causes. just dont like to comeback to jobs unless they are 10 years apart minumum. keep it on!!!
It's hard to tell from the video, and I really should have added a subtitle, but that "next panel" I think you are referring to was fiberglass. Our bulkheads in that area have the engine room on the other side, so there's a layer of fiberglass there. It's stained from years of dry rot so it looks atrocious... but it solid, so that's what we bonded the new marine plywood to. Hope that clears up any confusion! We definitely don't like repeating projects either and appreciate the help!
@@aboardladyhawk ok that makes perfect sense, i stand corrected then!
