Hope you enjoy it as much as i have! I smashed my left hand hand guard on my first camping trip out. Barkbusters are a dead easy fit and much more robust solution
Hi Rikky, congratulations on your new bike, with regards to finding neutral my wife has a 2020 390 duke and it does get better with more miles and after the first service. The engine is great and the reliability of the 390 is better than most KTM’s. Have fun, Carl
My son has a Honda 125, and he has similar problems. Finding neutral, getting it out of neutral, and also neutral between gears. Sorry for the smash, takes the ice-cream of having a new bike. At least the bike is okay.
I owned a new KTM 390 Duke two years ago Rikky. Nice bike the only issues I had were a choppy throttle (it is a single I suppose) the tft went blank on me whilst riding, but returned after switching the ignition on/off. The tft had also the habit of attracting condensation inside the screen. Finding neutral also an annoying problem although I have recently owned a new Suzuki Hayabusa and I could not engage first gear at at standstill! Most bikes as you know have their niggles.
Very nice bike Rikky, I'm sure the neutral selection issue will improve as the miles roll on? What about covering the hand guards with some self adhesive carbon sheet, I did this to the mirror cases on a Honda Blackbird, it covered the existing scratches and was really resistant against new ones! 👍
I thought I had ordered the Barkbusters before reading your coment and I thought to myself "damn I wish I had your brains" 😂 but it seems i didn't order them after all (perhaps I closed the order window before I purchased) so I'll think about the carbon sheet! The real problem is that the bars/hand guard combo are just a bit too wide for my side entrance. I'll sure I'll come up with bodge to help me out 😁 Neutral is getting easier to find... up to about 350 miles now!
Ooooh Rikky have taken a bit of risk then ! 😉 "maybe" it will be interesting to see I have to say I am not a fan of their looks or the way they do their sales jibbing people for more money to reinstate the goodies if you pay more money . Having said that the 390 looks pretty good to me "not too orange either " I hope you don't regret it in the end so wish you the best because as a rough weather ride I would think it would be ideal 👌👍
My thinking is that there must be more happy owners than unhappy ones so I will hopefully end up in the happy camp! This bike doesn't have the Demo Mode so at least that's one less thing to worry about! The colours of the bike match my helmet too so I'm chaffed about that! Yeah hopefully all goes well and this will be a great period of ownership 😊
Awesome little bike! This will help you go slower and enjoy the moment more! And plenty okay on gravel roads as well.
Best of luck.
Congratulations Rikki! You will enjoy the KTM for sure. I haven’t had any problems with my 890
From one R1250R rider to another, congrats on the new ride bro.

Looks nice! Barkbusters sell a skid plate to go on the end of the backbone, that might help stop damage from the walls
Nice to see u back on two wheels 👍
Thanks 👍

Sounds like you need to widen your entrance.
Great looking bike. Enjoy the ride.
If I widen my entrance any more, something might break 😂

@@RikkyTang I'm sure it will be fun ride and it's one you could take off road win win 👍
