At least you have put Christine in the unit, OH I mean Betty, well done both of you look forward to the next adventure Kev Rainey East Devon Spelling mistake was meant to be
Luv the Ford Galaxie.. really enjoyed the video... What a mission .. never a dull moment with the galaxie. Glad to see you found a good unit in the end keeping it safe and sound.
Just noticed the glass fuel filter under the bonnet, it really needs swapping for a plastic or metal one. The glass ones can leak or crack and cause a fire, I know of three cars that have been damaged or destroyed because of the glass filters
Back in the day a big car in Britain was Triumph 2000 size! A Ford Galaxy was massive in comparison. I remember back in the early 70's Engelbert Humperdink getting his big American vehicle stuck on the spiral ramp in Lee Circle multi storey Carpark in the city of Leicester.
I really felt for you with that first lockup, I knew there wasn't enough swing room to get that Galaxie round, lucky the guy had another unit vacant. All safe and sound now though... Take care, Jon B.
Remy loves his Galaxie and Betty does seem to motor along. Betty is definitely a Land Yacht, she just floats along. That took some doing and skilfully parked. It is a decent sized unit.
I would have thought this Ford Galaxie was made for the Australian market. Poor Betty does need lots of work; then again, poor Betty is 63, she qualifies for Social Security here in the US.
Wouldn't be so bad if that hedge wasn't in the way. I had to laugh at you both (sorry Remi!), and Alex's commentary on the proceedings. Even with more space it wasn't easy was it? Bigger space in there than I expected though, and it looks like you have power in there, but it didn't look near to home so might be more difficult to work on regularly.
Any other units left for hire I have a Vauxhall Astra Bertone convertible.. How far away and roughly what kind of weekly rent is it please,my car is based in Wickwar..
There is normally a long waiting list for units to come available. I put my name down around Christmas time and got a phone call last month saying one is empty. His rule is if you don't pick up the phone first time he calls the next on his list. I was lucky a few people didn't pick up the phone to him.
Like trying to "dock" the Tirpitz in Poole harbour! Well done!

Well done you two , sure like that galaxy, keep us up to date on the unit
Wll done both that's a big ol car, nice to see Betty safely in the dry.

Galaxie is Stunning love the colour ad that burble
Great job! I'm glad you are not giving up on your American Dream! Betty looks like a good candidate, she is a good looking car!
I was on edge watching that don't let it become forgotten or someone will be doing a garage find in 30 years. 😂😂
😆
Remy seemed to enjoy the drive over to the Unit; driving Betty with some gusto...well done to you both.

Ok will bear that in mind! Thank you

😄
My uncle had a ford zephyr to me at the time it was massive, he could just get it in the garage and squeeze out but it was tight
👍🏻🏴 Lovely car. Well done.
Great drive, timewarp.

Just make sure you don't get seasick. That thing really shows swell in corners.
My heart was in my mouth. Well done to you both.
Love the Galaxy. It looks cartoon like with its shape while following it on the road. Only 3 gallons of fuel to park it LOL... only joking.
Well done both of you. I hope you get her fixed up.
2:35 that's so cool!
Parts come up for them now and again on evil bay.
Will be ok in end
Bit of a mission but got there in the end, a little generator would be handy for power tools a a bit of lighting.
The unit has power and lights 😄
How far is the lock up I thought it was in Canada the distance you drove🤣
Haha it's not that far really. Only about 10 miles.
That “All Agro” needs a gearbox 😂
That's just a normal A series whine 😄

It's only 10 miles away 😄 . Nearer than my friend Graham's workshop i use. Just means packing up and spending the day down there 😍
That's a nice lock up....how much do they charge for that.
I think it's a bargain 😄 not much over £100 a month
That is a bargain the size of it👍
Traffic lights omg

You need a bed in the garage, its too far from home, not the best buy in cars😂
