Identical not. It is nice and brave to try imitating Mark and the band (I have tried too), but that performance of Dire Straits in Hammersmith is one of the best ever. Listen closely to all the nuances that Mark brings in his solo's and you will find that this guitarist simply does not have that. Every band that does Dire Straits covers are in the danger-zone because Mark was the heart and genius behind the sound and it is simply not possible to imitate. Having said this I must say that Dire Strats comes pretty close, but at the same time is 'so Far away'.
