This is perfect. I've been paying more attention to textiles lately. Last week I found a Turkish rug from the 1940s for $30. I traded it the same day for a New Mexico, San Ilfonso Pueblo, black pot worth over $1,000... that was a fun day. Anyways, thanks for sharing! It's one more great thing to keep on ones radar!

At one time I thought i wanted to do what you are doing. But it wasn't for me. Instead, I began to collect. I do some weekend flea market sales. That generates more than enough for more treasure hunting.

I am quite familiar with the Pendleton wool brand. Grew up with that. We had Pendleton blankets and jackets. I grew up in Eastern Oregon a bout 3 hours from the woolen mill. I have taken tours through the mill. It’s grand to see their reputation is still going strong. That one blanket with the bucking horse commemorating the Pendleton roundup. A famous rodeo held there every year.

My daughter and I were out picking last night at a church sale and we saw a huge blanket and tucked underneath where the words and big letters p i n k...... I told my daughter to grab that and she shook her head now and I told her the nurse flipper had it on her show that they are good sellers.... So we bought it for 4.00 and then when we did the comps we saw that they were reselling in the 40s.....thank you. I love learning new things and making money.

This was great! It is true, "They are out there." I have found wool and wool cashmere blend blankets at the BINS!! And resold them for high profit. Knowing fabric is extremely helpful, and then maker for that final touch. 100% wool, cashmere, camel, or alpaca are always great sellers. Just watch for moth holes!

I just found a tartan plaid wool blanket made in Scotland for $5! 🎉🎉🎉 Deciding if I want to keep it or sell it. It goes perfectly with my aesthetic. It's navy and dark green.

The granny squares and the Elder statesman were two of my favorites. I had not heard of some of those brands you showed near the end.
The linens are one of my first places to stop when I’m at a thrift store. I find you can easily tell quality fabric. You just have to be willing to spend a little time digging through the racks and bins. (Filson, Pottery Barn, Restoration hardware, FRETTE ) I have found the BEST kids’ handmade lap quilts at thrift stores which I ended up gifting to grandkids.

I checked all the Elder Statesman solds on eBay and found a pair of cashmere slippers that’s an Uggs-Elder Statesman collab sold for $565. That brand intrigues me for some reason and I want to learn to spot it.

It's interesting to see the price difference between the listed price and Best Offer accepted price on some of the blankets in this video. It would be great if you could add the Best Offer accepted price to these types of videos. For example, the Elder Statesman blanket sold for $1500, which is still a lot but is not "over two thousand dollars" as stated in the video. A couple other blankets accepted a price that was almost half of what was listed.
