For position 2, re-routing the knight enables capturing Black's iso pawn: Ne4, Nc3, Nxb5 and we have a passer. Then back to c5 covers where the Bishop can take, then we have Bxb7 Nxb7 and Knight Pawns and King vs. only King and Pawns.
Thanks to your lessons and other puzzles I often now get either an opportunity or an advantage. Generally you are aggressive in play which motivated to be the same … overall easily moving from about 500 to 1300 with minimum effort and time. BTW … your patience, repetitions and clarity are unique on the Chess UA-cam .. thanks.
Coach one suggestion for you plz make one play list on rating climb where you start from 800 elo till the level you can reach where you explain mistakes players make on particular rating.
Hello! Feel free to check out the playlist where I putt all the videos of me playing as I explain the moves 👍 ua-cam.com/play/PLQKBpQZcRycqiEAXoaY6UB08RrtnIm8pV.html
Anyone who hasn't solved the first position ignore this comment. I have Rxf8 Kxf8 (forced) Qa8+ Qd8 (forced) Qxd8 ftw. And thank you NM Robert for putting up this course and saving me a few hundred dollars- this is one of the best chess channels on YT. Naka, Levy, Nelson and Agadmator have serious competition that keeps them honest. Here, Black wants Be3 discovered check and White is in some trouble from that, so Rxf8 saves the bacon.
Good morning, I loved the lesson! I also enjoy all of the new graphic design elements, very much. I noticed the queen-side pawn majority in the first example right away😀 Proud to say I saw the trade down to the won end game. The second example was fascinating. This is definitely something I need to work on, identifying which pieces to trade in the late middle-game. The third position was also very instructive. I really enjoyed your game. Agadmator showed a recent QID game by Korobov this morning. I think the QID is interesting, but engines hate it. Do you think learning this opening would be a waste of time?
I personally like it and think we all should study it as well as the Nimzo and Logo-indian. Even if you do not make it part of your repertoire, you will learn a lot from them 👍
Do I need to watch all the other videos in this series before this one? I’m about 1300 rapid. Love your videos on the Pirc. You’re a great teacher! Thank you for the lessons!
Thanks for another great lesson! I solved positions 1 and 2, but not 3. I have a question. @18:35 I thought of Bf5 too. But I thought, even if White has two moves in a row, playing Bf5 and then Bxe4 looks wrong because then the rook can go right back to e6 and pin and win the bishop. So after you did Bf5 what would you do if they just did a tempo move like Ba8 or even g6?
Thanks for the video Robert. Enjoyed it. Wonder how you would cope with being on the receiving end of these positions. Try and shake things up?. Or is it a case of recognising and not getting in to them e.g last game Ne4 by black looked like a mistake?.
Hello Carl! In that case, we want to make sure we avoid trading pieces and look for ways to complicate the game. Activating our pieces quickly and attacking their king is one of the main ways to do so.
Not trying to brag but I found a way to lose with 2 rooks & 5 pawns against a Knight & 4. 😅After he queened he even hit me up with the ol "hahaha". I was a tad bit upset 😡. U got me hooked on this game that I have a love/ hate with. Seriously tho, thank you for this video, amazing stuff & Good lord I need every bit of help I can get
hey, could you please make a series over attacking chess? i feel that the internet has very less to offer when it comes to attacking chess content. As an attacker myself, I really believe there are patters in chess attacks, different ways of delivering an attack (for example this plan of playing g6, h4, Kg7, h5, Rh1 and attacking Black by sacrificing a piece for a few pawns and then pushing the h pawn to strangle Black. This is a common pattern in some of Mikhail Tal's games and also some of the female chess players use this attacking idea in fact alphazero did that many times in draws against stockfish if I remember right... Or was it leela? IDK, forgot lol). in chess and would be great if you could make a video on that. Im sure many of your viewers would love a video on attacking chess and sacrificial play, because for some reason our generation loves crazy attacks and mad sacrifices. I am an attacker inchess, but i really feel like im not good enough with my attacks at times, and many times sacrifice a bunch of pieces to gain a seemingly winning position, but after a while i end up running out of fuel and losing down material. Im still a good attacker, at least for the 1500 rating level
Attacking chess is fun but I get from Robert’s videos that if you want to grow and win consistently playing it safe and keeping it simple helps inexperienced players to get better. That’s not to say I too would like such a video lesson.
@@Charles-Windham That's not true. You have to immerse yourself in different types of positions - from closed and simple to open and crazy. You can grow and win by attacking, or being solid. There's no right or wrong.
@@Charles-Windham I don't attack every game, mostly I play positionally, but at times, once ever 3 or 4 games, I just feel the drive to attack and play attacking chess.

King ...d6 is a fun and thematic move!
Yes, loved the lesson too. Went back to this lesson and re-watched it. 1) simplify and get to a winning endgame
Thank you for showing the most difficult and long part of chess, converting. Beautiful exercises
Great class, thank you!
One more nice lesson ! 👍🇨🇵

And there is some urgency on White's part, if Black gets Be3+, Qf2 is next, getting very close to checkmate.

I hate the pawn structure strategy I get that I need to understand it to be great but I'd much rather win with a queen
