Those players left it all out there. Coaches failed the kids in this one big time. Coached the game in complete fear and dread rather than free and bold. Play calling was egotistical at best. No logic. And the look on Days face as the brawl was ensuing, and his lack of coherence, lack of direction and will to act - in times of adversity, we fight, flight, or freeze. It’s the classic field lieutenant who freezes as soon as his men come under fire. I love Ryan Day as a man. But you either have “it” or you don’t. The look on his face is the epitome of his leadership. Yesterday was heart breaking to watch especially for Captain Jack and the Senior Crew. Our leadership at the coaching (primarily offense and ST) completely ghosted the day.

How is it that everyone in the world knew that we had to run the ball to the perimeter, EXCEPT our offensive playcaller??? Every time we ran to the perimeter, we were just fine. We ran into the teeth of the 2 best players on the TTUN’s team.

Like the take about missed Devin Brown game. Coaches got dragged into their game plan. Probably so confident bc most opponents tried that and failed this year. They kept trying to bust one through that line to soften the coverage. The dam never broke though. Why they didn't scheme their players into success is beyond me. They went the reactionary route and something with day trying to prove he can beat them at their game. We better get the playoff performance of a lifetime. That's all I can say. As a Michigan fan, I don’t think anyone necessarily means the actual players on OSU are soft, especially not on defense (OL is a little soft lol) but I think all Michigan fans have seen and even OSU fans are starting to see that RYAN DAY IS SOFT. And him being so soft reflects back on the team since he is their head coach. I mean Michigan coaches straight up said to Klatt days before the game that if it’s close in the 4th, we will win. Juck, I know there is still some season left but I feel like we will see a shell of this team the rest of the way. For those class of 21 players this was the season, i feel that part of the Nebraska game was still getting over the heartbreaker at Oregon. This one will hurt ten times worse and no matter how many days we have between now and round 1, this team will not be over this loss. I wanted so badly for Day to succeed as he is a great coach outside of gameday but I just dont see a path to success with him. At the beginning of the year I had a feeling that Michigan wodow have a down year and if Day couldnt get it done with all the seniors he had back then I would have to ask the question of what will it take for him to win, I dont know the answer. I was a Day defender until today. Part of me is kinda hoping for a round 1 exit, so hopefully there is no reason to keep him around. He fooled me in the Georgia game but I cant ever trust him again. Was the same game against Nebraska. Throw the ball, have all the talent. Even the crowd boo d at chip kellys same boring zone runs at the strenth of there defense and our week offense line, several times. Then day done a great job taking over special teams. I like Trey and Q but they are a shell of a back like JK Dobbins. Backs like Dobbins, Zeke or even Carlos Hyde could make plays even when blocking wasnt great or totally broke down. Our guys just take whats there and nothing more. I watch games every weekend and see backs drag defenders for what should he a 2 yard gain into 6,7,8 consitantly. Oregon was today. I am deeply damaged by this ? ...game. I wasn't there but I think the weather hurt our ability to play offense. it reminded me much of the northwestern game a while back where CJ couldn't throw the ball due to the wind. I thought the officiating was terrible and xichigan was awarded several first downs that they were short on. The officiating sucked as well. I believe the weather made us one dementional which because of all the injuries put our weakest part of the o-line against the strongest part ttun ....their interior d-line. I believe if the weather had been 50 degrees with light wind we beat them by 35 points.but now we will never know...but who knows maybe we still do well in the play-off.

I almost defended it but you’re right it was coaching that did not find a kicker who could make those kicks. It was coaching to put Trey at KR mid season for him to misplay the ball and start at the 5. It was coaching to try to run right at the middle of their defense. It was coaching to not have OLine that could make holes. It was coaching to not throw the ball to JJ 10 times when they showed all they were going to do was hold and take the penalty yards.

Juck, I know there is still some season left but I feel like we will see a shell of this team the rest of the way. For those class of 21 players this was the season, i feel that part of the Nebraska game was still getting over the heartbreaker at Oregon. This one will hurt ten times worse and no matter how many days we have between now and round 1, this team will not be over this loss. I wanted so badly for Day to succeed as he is a great coach outside of gameday but I just dont see a path to success with him. At the beginning of the year I had a feeling that Michigan wodow have a down year and if Day couldnt get it done with all the seniors he had back then I would have to ask the question of what will it take for him to win, I dont know the answer. I was a Day defender until today. Part of me is kinda hoping for a round 1 exit, so hopefully there is no reason to keep him around. He fooled me in the Georgia game but I cant ever trust him again. I am apathetic to this team as long as he is around

Was the same game against Nebraska. Throw the ball, have all the talent. Even the crowd boo d at chip kellys same boring zone runs at the strenth of there defense and our week offense line, several times. Then day done a great job taking over special teams. Penn st should of been a blow out, should of beat oregon, and both those and now michigan all point to coaching

The OL leftovers are way below average - losing 2 best OL to injury on an already suspect position group is too much to overcome…especially with Play-Callers too stubborn to realize that fact and not rely on team’s strength at WR

I've seen the signs and I'm like you I've never felt the same way about him that I've felt about urban or tressel. I've wanted him to do well so badly but this is just inexcusable. Ryan Day didn't call plays. He brought chip Kelly in to take over play calling and imo chip Kelly let him, the team, and Buckeye Nation down today unfortunately
I like Trey and Q but they are a shell of a back like JK Dobbins. Backs like Dobbins, Zeke or even Carlos Hyde could make plays even when blocking wasnt great or totally broke down. Our guys just take whats there and nothing more. I watch games every weekend and see backs drag defenders for what should he a 2 yard gain into 6,7,8 consitantly. Oregon was today. Our guys cant run through arm tackles let alone tackles. Iv been saying it all year and getting cooked for it. Well here you go. No vision at all

I am deeply damaged by this ? ...game. I wasn't there but I think the weather hurt our ability to play offense. it reminded me much of the northwestern game a while back where CJ couldn't throw the ball due to the wind. I thought the officiating was terrible and xichigan was awarded several first downs that they were short on. The officiating sucked as well. I believe the weather made us one dementional which because of all the injuries put our weakest part of the o-line against the strongest part ttun ....their interior d-line. I believe if the weather had been 50 degrees with light wind we beat them by 35 points.but now we will never know...but who knows maybe we still do well in the play-off.

I almost defended it but you’re right it was coaching that did not find a kicker who could make those kicks. It was coaching to put Trey at KR mid season for him to misplay the ball and start at the 5. It was coaching to try to run right at the middle of their defense. It was coaching to not have OLine that could make holes. It was coaching to not throw the ball to JJ 10 times when they showed all they were going to do was hold and take the penalty yards.

Three QB's will transfer, receiver recruits will de-commit or not commit en masse along with more good players coming in 2025.
