John Park is releasing his new single ‘U’ after one year and is now ready to meet his fans.
John Park’s new song ‘U’ is composed by the main producer Shin Hyuk and the producer team Joombas who’s known for producing ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ by Justin Bieber.
John Park said “To make few songs from the blank page, I went to the studio in the morning and stayed there until night every day. I only focused on writing the songs that I came up with four songs in a week. This single is one of the four songs.” The title song ‘U’ is a soul based UK pop style song that’s raising attention from his fans for his low voice and the upgraded expression of emotions.

ジョン•パクは、“白紙の状態でいくつかの曲を作ってみようという命題のもと、毎朝スタジオに入って夜まで作業をした。その場で曲と歌詞を書いた。ひたすら曲の作業に没頭した。一週間で4曲を作り出すくらい音楽そのものに没頭した。今回のシングルは、その中の一曲だ”と作業記を説明した。タイトル曲「ユー（U）」は、ソウルベースのUK Popスタイルの曲で、ジョン•パクの重低音ボイスと一層成長した感情を表現したという評価を受けてファンたちの注目を浴びている。

존박은 “백지 상태에서 몇 곡을 만들어보자는 명제 아래 매일 아침 스튜디오에 들어가 밤까지 작업했다. 즉석에서 곡을 쓰고 가사를 썼다. 오직 곡 작업만 몰두했다. 일주일 만에 4곡을 만들 정도로 음악 그 자체에만 몰두 했다. 이번 싱글은 그 곡들중 하나다.”라고 작업기를 설명했다. 타이틀곡 ‘유(U)’는 소울 베이스의 UK Pop 스타일의 곡이며, 존박의 중저음 보이스와 한층 성장한 감정 표현을 드러냈다는 평가를 받아 팬들의 주목을 받고 있다.

후에 음악예능 슈가맨 프로듀서로 존박과 팀으로 질투 편곡해서 매치플레이하기도했고 그의 줌바스팀이 존박과 함께 작업하며 여러곡 즉흥결과물입니다 만들면서 옆에서 존박이 불러보고 녹음하고 이런식의 집중 단기작업의 결과물요 인터뷰에서 읽은적 있습니다 4곡중
U /Understand/ 이후 나올지모르는 motown 3곡이 컴펌 된거라고요 존박의 보컬력이 출중해서 장르 스타일 타지 않는 아티스트입니다 당시 딘은 데뷔전이었고 이후 2년후에 곧 데뷔할 신인이라는 존박의 기사를 보고 딘이라는걸 짐작하기도했어요😃 좋은 결과물이고 좋은 경험이라고 신혁의 인터뷰도 있었어요 존박과 작업을 환영했어요 당시 아이돌그룹과의 작업이 주류였던 때 ,유망한 이미 데뷔앨범 성취한 솔로가수 존박이었으니까요..딘이 sns에 작업 힌트 올리기도하며.. 그후 딘의 데뷔를 지켜보면서 역시 준비된 출중한 아티스트임을 몸소 증명해 보이더군요 프로모션 초기, 이미지메이킹까지 줌바스 소속사 퍼펙트했어요 😃

ㄹㅇ 타가수가 부르는데도 본인 스타일이 이렇게 선명한 아티스트는 딘이 거의 유일할 듯ㅋㅋㅋ 불공평해 월드투어 전부 다 trbl 앨범 느낌이랑 존똑

I truly do not get the industry that is called KPOP. This here, is a freaking talented man, with a voice many envy and probably would kill for, more than decent looks, height and body build, yet his popularity is lukewarm in Korea. Lol, the idea itself of a concept is from pop... Personally I think John Park and Jung joon young really sound alike and portrays the same type of musician. i would love to see them again collaborate for a song! Im happy John Park came back after his scandal, lets hope to hear other tunes from him!

That is actually false. Even on the music sites, artists are categorised by their genre not by how popular their music is. Their downloads will get them into the “now popular” section of music sites, but they are not categorised as KPop. John Park is categorised as KR&B for the most part. Some songs will fall under KPop, but as an artist, he is a KR&B/K-Soul/K-Blues artist.

The term K-Pop is all-inclusive, meaning he can be a K-Pop artist and write and specialize in genres such as R&B, Soul, and Blues not just Pop. The Beatles especially for their time were considered British pop artists but their genre was rock and they specialized in it. I think you may have a misunderstanding of what the term pop means.

Another example is BIGMAMA. BIGMAMA was extremely popular, but were always considered KR&B divas. How we do it in the West is not how they do it in Korea. In Korea, KPop is referred to as Gayo, however, artists and their releases are always categorised under Gayo > Hip-Hop or Indie > Hip Hop no matter how popular they are.
EDIT: Also, The Beatles were considered Pop artists because later on, they had music that included predominantly pop influences. So, yes. They were considered Pop/Pop-Rock because of that. That is not the case here.
