At 2:10, can't you just create a 4:th circle for construction and make the outer circles center coincident with the edge of that circle? Better yet create one circle and pattern it around the construction circle with 120 deg spacing. I'm asking because I'm curious about if it's worth switching from solidworks to freecad, my workflow is sw would be something like that.
Thanks for sharing:) I'm try to practice and change the Hexagon into a Circle at 4:25, then the Thickness can Not be done. Does anyone know why or how can I do?
This complex geometry example works because the three arcs subtracted from the circle creates six vertices which align with the six vertices of the hexagon. The additive loft function wouldn't know how to loft the bottom geometry with six vertices to a circle.
simply genius, out of the box thinking way of making this solid
Nice! I didn’t know you could select more than one face when creating a thickness. That’s going to be a nice time saver!👍
very cool, thank you for sharing, your tutorials are excellent, and easy to follow
Very easy to understand, thank you for making it.

would you cover the Path workbench in the future? 🙏
Very nice videos. Thanks a lot.
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed them. 😊
Thank you very much for sharing. So useful when learning this app

Make the Circle using six arcs and it will work.
yo thanks!
Are you stuck using metric? So far it looks way harder to use than SolidWorks.
