I have a 2020 1200S and I love it so much. Boy is it powerful. My annual service is $495 in 2024 in Orange County CA

Nice! I continue to enjoy mine as well and have added the full Termi system since this update. My service runs a bit less. Enjoy riding this autumn.

Excellent content again Scott and nice to see a pleasant ownership experience for you with Gabriela holding up well and in good health. Went out riding today for the first time since the apocalypse started coincidental with your video coming out. Many happy trips! Cheers...

Hi there, thanks for sharing. I've got a Hypermotard 1100 atm and I'm looking at a Monster 821/1200 (tired of running out of gas with the tiny 12lt tank). How do you find the bike?

Glen - I've been very happy with my 1200s and just rolled 10,000 miles. I average about 40 miles per (U.S.) gallon and riders between 5'6" and 5'10" are very comfortable. Those who are taller can feel a bit cramped in the legs. No reliability issues either. I'll be keeping it for a long time and would certainly recommend a test ride on one (or the 821). Happy New Year.

@@atastefortheroad4475 Glad to hear that. I'm about 5'11 and have sat on a few at dealers and found the position comfortable. Have you had a Desmo service done yet? If so how much did it set you back if you dont mind me asking.

@@Clonewars56 No. On the new bikes the big service is at 18k. My old one was every 6k and 12k. When my 18k shows up, I'm guessing the "full" service w/anything extra will cost around $1,500. I checked my recent annual service - fluids, etc - and it was $363.00.

    This vs speed twin?

Calvin - the Monster has a sharper edge and is more aggressive, while the Speed Twin is the more laid back of the two. New, there's big price difference. Also, the Monster fits people up to about 5'10', while the ST has more room. Demo both and go with the one that speaks to you most. Happy hunting!
