I just made the switch to SID UL 32 on my Supercaliber. From a 32 Fox SC. For me. Night and day difference. So much better on small bump and way more plush it seems. So happy with It, I am replacing my SS fork( another 32 SC) with the 120 RD version. Super happy with it so far., Nothing but smiles when I point and it gobbles up the chunk! Oh and losing .25 lb on my Supercaliber was a bonus.
i really like how rockshox puts all the info on the shocks and forks. Why can't Fox and DVO and everyone else do the same thing so we know exactly what the max psi is and what % sag we're at without having to use stupid little clip on doohickies just to determine what sag we're at.
I don’t think you can have a patent about printing numbers onto your stanchions. But it costs time and money to print it on their, that’s why Fox chooses not to do it.
The look real nice. I own a 2014 sid rl thats been well taken care of still works perfect. I installed a 120 mm shaft travel upgrade. I guess someday ill get one of those nice new sids, for now my old one works just fine.
I have the ultimate on my new bike. Have only been out two times but I really like it! Have ridden it in a big variety of trails and it delivered. On very technical and steep terrain it definitely works well but you'll notice the lacking of more damping there. But hey you gotta compromise
i'm saving up for the SID Ultimate fork, seems perfect for my local trails in the Netherlands, in combo with a 2021 BMC Twostroke for the ultimate "sexy XC" bike
Why remove the rebound dials in the name of a few grams? I absolutely hated that "feature" on the BOS suspension I was running on my old DH rig! Other than that, the 34 SC and now this 35 mm legged SID is what I have been dreaming about for a decade! Absolutely perfect for my local trails.
Pike is heavier and has above 120mm travel while Sid has 100mm 110mm and 120mm options I hear Sid ultimate same 35mm Stanton as pike and lyrik also pike has adjustments newer sid ultimate has only lockout and open option different dampers pike lyrik zeb domain yari uses charger dampers and sid uses race day damper
Thanks for doing these vids - a nice escape from ... (you know) Also - worth mentioning often - this is not the time for any "sending it" - healthcare system does not need the extra burden of your clavicle.
4:33 if you look close you can tell that he has the 52 tooth cassette, and this was before the release.
Just put one of those on my 2021 Trek Top Fuel Custom build absolutely love it
At this point, I dont even care about how the grim donut rides anymore.

@@zyoungson215 where is this patent

Definitely patents. It has to do with how they put the numbers on the stanchion
@@ScottDougherty96 nope it does not.
Yes, this is definitely the fork for me; and I'm going to fit one on my Trek Procaliber frame and continue to build the bike.

Wheres Grim Donut? :(
The real question is can you put a charger 2.1 in it?
SID + Charger damper = 100% PIKE

You guys should compare the fox 32 and the rockshox Sid sl
Mondraker makes one of the best looking frames.

Grim donut??
How does the SID Select + compare to the ultimate? Does it have a comfortable ride for eating up roots and being a little plush?
Do you have a comparison between a Fox rythm 32 110mm and a Rockshox SID select + 100mm?
all 2020s have new Debon Air with lowered self equalizing dimple ...or just ultimate ?
Hey Mike, what kind of F-Podium size did you drive in this Video?
SID series are great. But I prefer more buget friendly Reba A9 + monarch RT3 setup.
May I ask what’s brand of the bike?

Any one tested the stiffness of SID ULT35, PIKE, FOX34 SC, FOX34 Factory? Where can I find the test?
Wonder if this would be good for my ibis dv9 hardtail.im 185lbs. Ibis says max 120, but lots of dv9 owners are going 130/140??
i know this is an old comment but the sid only goes up to 120mm
Nah not down country "sexy XC"
"Down country" used to be called "Trail" which used to be "Aggressive XC"
would this be reasonable for kids bike - 12yo?

I have a 2001 Sid Hydra air 😂
If this Fork is so similar to the Fox 34 and actually a little stiffer even, why would anyone buy a 34?
you guys are literally just making us lose interest in the grim donut at this point....
