I don’t have a complaint or a lawsuit. However. What I do have is a video of how police do not investigations when “they got a call”. If you want then what’s your email.
What do I do? I run out there and scream at the top of my lungs, "WHAT THE F**K ARE YOU DOING IN MY CAR?!?"

Cops pissing on you're Constitution and Rights knowing nothing will happen to them. And your courts allow this BS to continue.
These tow contracts usually stipulate a 24hr tow notice, or else a tenant could lose their car for simply having their plates stolen or forgetting to put their parking permit in their window. If you call around to rental property management offices, you will not find one that would tow this man's vehicle without a 24hr notice or prior warnings or violations.

Those cops would hate me. I tell everyone who doesn't have tags on their cars for whatever reason to park in my driveway bc it's private property and they can't do anything about it here in PA. I lost count of how many people I let do that. I don't let them keep them here forever but I have helped a lot of people that way.
As soon as the guy said “excuse me sir, name and badge number and why do you have my car door open?” You can tell that the cop had that “oh shit I just got caught look” 😂😂😂. He paused for a couple of seconds before he answered the guys question

@@mr.duanesharpe that's why the owner say just tow it and he will fight it in court. as it is not a crime for having a car unlocked and a car not have it's tags on if it is on home.
The best as cops can do is just tow it on reason that maybe the car is a stolen property as the owner don't want to give prove that the car is his.

@@redonk1740 I believe you still have to identify yourself even if they are trespassing as long as they are in the process of investigating a crime that’s already occurred or about you. Basically you don’t have to identify yourself unless it’s within those parameters, or even if you’re the victim of a crime you still have to identify yourself. Pretty ridiculous, right? 🤷♂️
It boils down to a scam perpetuated by the city a few cops and a towing company to steal cars, auction them off and split the spoils amongst them. Justin Pulliam's channel shows how this scam worked in Leon Valley, Tx.

That scam was used and worked in Palo Alto CA. Until they tried on the wrong person and both the Police dept, city, and tow truck company got sued.

Most apartment complexes have contracts with towing companies that don't require police involvement.
This! And why would an apartment complex feel an untagged pickup truck is so important that it had to be dealt with at night? Highly unlikely. I'm wondering if the whole thing was a bored cop looking for something to do, spotted the untagged truck then the whole thing escalated from there.

They might have the right to allow someone into the apartment. The vehicles are not owned by the apartment so they have no rights to them.

Sadly we have a large part of the political spectrum that only see's a problem with the behavior on display here when it happens to them or someone they know personally. They also vote for people that advocate for this type of behavior to happen, again as long as its happening to 'other' people. There is no getting away from politics on this issue until people realize that allowing the violation of rights to continue despite it not affecting them immediately, is not a viable course of action.

If not, then I would suggest that now would be a good time to think upon that possiblity as it is better to be late than never. The repercussions of an uprising of the people against an unjust and criminal establishment will not be pretty.

They're in fact trained to treat citizens that way. My partner was in exempt management for a city in the late 2000's; she was sent to the training meetings for cop management (she was supposed to be a liaison to all departments at her city) and she witnessed the officers being TRAINED that the citizens are the enemy.
I think we've come to the time that communities have to protect our own against the cops. They need to worry about members of the community banding together.

I think the crowd basically kept this cop from arresting the citizen. The cop was getting agitated by the crowd, making even more unlawful orders - "get back in your house!" - because he wanted no witness to his unlawful arrest of someone, for something completely unrelated to the original call.
Cop was correctly stood up to, it strips there assumed power away.
Just don't get blindsided by any Chinese takeout menus when you ask to see the warrant.

@@letstalknfl They can determine the last registered owner of the vehicle using the VIN number, even if the vehicle is not currently legally registered. Therefore they have access to the last known address of the owner. They could have simply walked 30 feet and knocked on the door, to tell the owner "We, using the plain-view doctrine, saw ________ item in your vehicle and need to enter it for search". Using a slim-jim randomly like that is illegal search and seizure, I think, and also note the officer did NOT say, "We saw such-and-such inside your vehicle so that gave us probable cause to search"--they just did it. I think that whole thing was a fishing expedition cut short by the crowd showing up.

Even if the complex had that rule, it's still not a criminal matter. They can tow it, but no ID is required and nobody has a right to search the car.

I live in this area at a complex owned by the same company Mickinley. There is an agreement for no plates or expired plates getting towed....... However there is a tow company that trolls daily checking the properties, they put a notice on and give you a few weeks. I've never seen the cops come in and do this.

If they tow it they're allowed by our "Supreme" Court to do an inventory search, for what reason I'm not sure cause they certainly won't replace any high value item that goes missing.

This so called officer was breaking and entering a vehicle and illegally searched a vehicle. This so called officer has no idea of how to do his job. Abolish qualified immunity and paid administrative leave.

I think that whole "shots fired" was nonsense to justify them being there in the first place. If they truly WERE investigating a shots-fired, then when that owner came out of his residence I'm fairly certain those cops would have been on high alert--they didn't ACT like they feared an armed assailant. They actually acted like little kids caught with their hands in the cookie jar. Yours is a very good question.

No one has the right just to tow a vehicle. No law states you have to have every vehicle owned registered. Cities/state make unconstitutional policies and enforcement them on citizens to extort.

The officer opened the trucks's door for unknown reasons. He used the license plate issue to deflect attention from that because he was unable to explain his actions.
Why would I ever tell a cop I'm going to sue him? If he doesn't know it's coming, he might not remember to destroy the evidence; simply not uploading a bodycam is a lot easier to explain away than uploading, then later logging in to delete the footage after you get sued.
