You are correct. Madonna always does something different. She can create a feel, a unique atmosphere in a song and its video.
Just so you know, she made this video - with all its dancing - just *two months* after giving birth to her son. She looks amazing and it was definitely something new for her. Also, love that you were puzzled about the skipping sound at the start. Those of us who bought the CD at the time thought we'd been given scratched CDs, lol!

Definitely one of her bests songs and videos! I hate that some people don't like the mix of Country/electronic/stutter because that's what makes it so unique and catchy.

This song peaked #04 on Hot 100 (but was #01 on Single Sales Charts as like all other Madonna HOT 100 TOP 10's in the 2000's). It also peaked #01 on Billboard Dance Club Charts. There are even 2 diferent emix videos of this song that used to play a lot on MTV (back in 2000/2001). They are both on Madonna official UA-cam channel. Remember that UA-cam was created only in 2008 and most artist only start uploading videos there in 2009/2010.

This song is Madonna's way of not giving a F@&% to people who always telling her what to do and what not to do.
Great song and some of her best choreo. She's telling her lover that telling her to stop is like telling the rain not to fall or the sun not to rise. When she looks at the empty bed it's like and "an open mouth of a grave" empty and sad. It's staring at her like a "calf down on it's knees" basically helpless and unable to do anything.
He can say love isn't true, that she's not what he wants or needs but it doesn't matter as long as he doesn't tell her to stop loving him and fighting for his love in return.
Her lyrics sometimes have a meaning that requires repeated listening to but sometimes their pretty straight forward (like Cherish).

If you are going to react to a video, you need to play the WHOLE song/video instead of skipping around.
Jerry S I reacted to the whole video, I just cut some of the song and some of my reaction in post production (editing) because of copyright (but I did react to the whole video) and now in my more recent videos I pause to speak my mind instead of cutting in post, just to let u know !
@@VI3ION ok. Often when I see reaction videos, I see that they often skip thru some of the video which is a little jarring. But if it has something to do with copyright, then that would make sense.
