I really like your napkin addition...perhaps matt medium would work with the napkin attachment issue. Of course, it would need additional drying time and during filming that would take more time. I enjoy seeing your out of the box creativity, as you explore alternative ways to repurpose old patterned card stock. Your dauntless bravery encourages me as well as your playful positivity...I don’t make junk journals, but I am drawn towards your use of mixed media exploration. I have learned so much over the months, and you have fun in the middle of making art. You DO inspire me....your sweet puppy chewing on old paper had me so curious with his/her antics. So adorable 🥰. Thank you for sharing your journey.

The flipflops paper looks a bit like some white bleeding heart flowers once you started adding the drawings, making everything look a bit like a ethereal garden. I loved this video, it is so inspiring!

The flip flop paper looked great after you added the napkin. Some of the remaining flip and or flops looked like flower petals to me, the lady slipper sort.

This was a fund project I'm that way to I hate to waste paper and this is a good way to re-purpose it. I don't own gelato's but they look like they add to the fun. Thanks for sharing, take care!

I loved seeing you jump amongst your materials and have at it! And honestly, that flip flop I feared was an um true flop, but then woohoo you added the stems and bam! it came alive! All so much better after you blinged them up. 🤍🤍🤍
the gelatos work well on the stamps as well so if you have the metallic gelatos, which I saw you have, you can color your stamps with that, give it a small spritz of water if needed and stamp away. Lindsay at the frugal crafter has a few videos showing things like gelatos, water soluble markers, water soluble crayons and pastels etc all for stamping with. Saves having a bunch of ink pads you rarely use so dry out in the drawer, and of course if you already have the gelatos then it avoids buying more supplies!!! Love using what you have!! She has a bunch of stamping videos showing all sorts of ways to use what you have instead of going to buy more supplies!!! Crafty and thrifty!!

I love this idea. I'm totally gonna try it! Not sure if you'll see this, but tapping a stamp on the ink pad will work better than rubbing it. Also, try holding the stamp in place for about 3 seconds to give the ink time to transfer to the paper. Now to go see which of my papers I could do this to. tfs
Like you Pam, I'm constantly buying things in lots at thrift shops. Sometimes the boxes have things like sports-related or Boy Scouts stuff, etc . Stuff I'm never going to use as is .This is a great video for items you get in lots that isn't really your style but you still want to use.

Pam ...lol...I was in the kitchen when this experimenting video came on! Could you hear me trying to help? Okay...so the secret to dry media is sanded or toothy paper. There just isn’t enough Tooth” to grab and hold the pigment...unless you use a workable or final fixative. And then you need to spray carefully OUTSIDE. I killed a 20 year bougainvillea plant just spraying on a bench on the porch next to it. So choose you dry media carefully...charcoal and pastel dry or soft (not oil) can be preserved on a good paper, with a double mat, under glass for thousands of years. You might get some color to crush into normal papers with a pallette knife. So go! Experiment! Pastel is a world of its own!

Well three of them are great and that’s all I’m sayin
Try spraying the dry ink pad with water with a few drops of glycerin in it. This should work on dye ink. For pigment, leave out the water and just use glycerin. Use something like the edge of a ruler to work the glycerin into the pad.
Ranger also makes ink refreshers for different types of ink.

When I worked with chalk pastels, I used hair spray to keep the chalk down.....if you are going to cover it with something else, you might use some matte clear spray....but, I liked your reckless abandoning...😻

Good morning Pam, oh yeah this is great! I have a lot of “ugly” paper i can use up. Gelatos are so awesome to use, they work really good with water as well, you spray water, after adding your colour hmm some texture paste with stencils. It’s fun to use. Hope you will have a fantastic day! 🌹❤️
