I am also in the same boat with my newly purchased Jimny.I have gotten quotes between 26k to 50k for transporting it from jaipur to Bangalore,each transporter has a different story to tell and the major point of confusion is wrt taking a transit insurance which the not so known ones are insisting while the more reputed once are ok without.What was your experience wrt insurance?
I took transit insurance mainly because since the IDV of the car is low, it was a negligible amount. What is transit insurance coming to for you? Why aren’t you driving it?
@@handsonwithbabbar The transit insurance itself is coming out to be around 25k. Sadly,more vendors=more confusion. I am contemplating the idea of taking an extended vacation and driving down if nothing else works out.
They avoid the tolls by avoiding the bypasses and going through the towns and cities - that is also where they pick up and drop passengers. If they can plan everything else so meticulously, fasttag is childs play for them - Think about it 👍
It is not possible to.Because once a car crosses any toll you get a message that toll has been deducted and it can’t be avoided so I don’t believe they can avoid tolls.So I don’t subscribe to idea that they drive all the way from Bangalore to Gurgaon without paying toll.
Dear sir, when ever you go on the highway and you use Google maps, haven’t you observed that Google suggests multiple route options - some with tolls and some without… it’s always possible to avoid tolls, especially if you are aware of the local villages and towns etc. and that this what these professionals do, they pick up and drop people from these towns etc only. Plus they could also theoretically cover the fast tag and pay cash, then there would be no message either - anyway, the idea was to share about the scam and alert others, so that one is not cheated - better to be safe than sorry 😞. Isn’t it! That was the whole idea of sharing it! The Fastag is the easiest one to tackle, you can wave any active fast tag at a toll and it opens, needn’t be specific to your car and since it’s not your car’s fastag, you won’t even get a notification!
What about Agarwal packers and movers Ltd? I would be waiting for a reply on this ASAP. Is Dolphinarium logistics reliable and better than Agarwal packers and movers Ltd?
I am sure you can, but i won't feel confident doing it! With trucking companies, you still have some professionalism & accountability, not sure about the railways - I wont use it. Hope that helps, cheers👍
