He’s 96. I love how he still does things at this age that many people that are in their 40’s can’t do.
its really incredible how old he is.He was born in 1924.Guy went through ww2 at age of 20+ became president in the coldwar and is still alive today.I hope he lives as long a life his body is be able to

Me too! I thought my longtime 92 year old client would have lived to 100, but he passed away few weeks ago after catching Covid for a week.

Yes, and he became the longest living former President after George H.W. Bush passed away. He will be 97 years old this coming October.
40 year 10 months and he was 56 when he lost his reelection and left office Jan 20,1981 and he set so many records in 2019 he first President to reach 95 in 2020 he first President reach 96 and 2021 he first President reach 97 and he and Rosalynn have the longest Marriage 75 years (July 7,1946) and I think that many records that Jimmy Carter had set it going to be hard for other Former living Presidents to chase and also He and Walter Mondale hold the longest Post Presidential team with the longest retirement January 20,1981 until Mondale passing April 19,2021 40 years 2 months 29 days and that is a record.

How terrific to hear President's Carter's voice today, the day after the Inauguration, along with seeing images from his own Inauguration. He has done so much good. For the latest election, his Carter Center became part of the get out the vote effort, encouraging trust in the system, particularly critical in his own state, Georgia, with the January follow-up elections that determined the control of the Senate.

Back in 1980, he lost to president Ronald Reagan but he did never feel regret becaude he truely understands that whoever was the president was not important. The ones with their sincere hearts and incredible skills are capable to running the country.

Jimmy and Roslyn will be married 75 years this coming July. Probably his best accomplishment, in addition to almost 60 years of public service. The Carters have served the people of this country, and the world, long after leaving the White House. Their contribution and dedication seems endless.

Strangely enough this one of the few presidents I have liked in the latter quarter of the 20th century. With Regan and Bush senior being the last of the presidents that have served in the military. Yes yes I know, Bush junior served in the ‘Texas Air National Guard’. And while we thank him for his service, we also mock him for it.

It sounds like he just wasn't physically up to the activities of the day in Washington. He and President-elect Biden did talk on the phone the night before the Inauguration, though. He was not forgotten.
He and Rosalyn are much older now, and considered high risk for infection. For their safety, they chose to stay home. I'm sure that President Carter's heart was there that day.
I mean he's in his late 90s. Can't blame him.

Tried to fight real reason why inflation happened and tried to make America independent of oil producing countries by calling people not worship consumerism. He is the real leader which US did not understand. They chose the ones like Reagan and Bushes. That's why all of that happened to the world and that's why US lost it's respect in the world.
