They do make glasses that let you experience what vision for a new born is like before our brain figures out the reverse mirror image or whatever eyes normally pick up before processing. If you wear them long enough eventually your brain figures it out again and when you take em off it has to once again figure out how to correct it like when you were a baby. Each time it gets faster till the point you can not wear the glasses for awhile put them on and still see perfectly.

She walked out side and was so amazed at how vibrant the colors were. She even said that the grays were bright. She ran back inside not in fear but to get a better pair of shoes because she was going for a long walk!

part of the problem is that right at first, as the brain starts correctly processing colors, everything is blown out - everything is extremely intense. that's why enchroma says to wear the glasses for a couple weeks for best effect. Let the brain get used to what it's working with. All these reveals are nice, but for someone that's just put the glasses on and the brain is now actually using processes it never has before, it's almost blinding.

Maybe for how a human interacts with the world, being able to see ultraviolet light would be incredibly annoying. But humans were “meant” (designed, evolved) to see every color you can get by combining red green and blue.

The closest thing I can think of experiencing what he's experiencing is looking at Ultra Blue for the first time in real life. It's like Vantablack but blue. I seen ultra blue before, but ever seen the TRUE version of it. So when I saw it the first time on a 18 wheeler during a road trip I thought someone filmed the truck with a LED screen-the ones you see at Times square. But it was just paint! It looked as if someone replaced a black hole with the color blue!
