That Dalay Istanbul is phenomenal. I hesitated the first time I saw it. Cigar Hound Dog said it was good , so I went back and got a few. It is box worthy!
I haven’t tried that cigar. I do want to explore more of Davidoff. I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. If there is ever a cigar you want my wife and I to try, then you can always ship one into the channel.
Hell yeah bro! Welcome to the world of cigars. 😃 Unfortunately, UA-cam doesn’t allow anyone to disclose that information but you can always go to a search engine. I believe in you 💪
No, my wife and I don't really trade cigars. We would however send you a little something something back if you sent a package into the channel. You can hit me up on instagram or email us for the PO Box. :)
That’s awesome! As for my wife and I, we bake bread and work in the kitchen every weekend. Next year we are opening a micro-bakery. Tons of people in our area want to buy sourdough bread from us. Eventually we will branch out to other baked goods, but you require a separate space for refrigerated items. That’s how we develop our palates. It’s a on going process, and something you constantly have to work on. 💪😃
Hey Bro! My wife and I retired from being cigar reviewers a few months ago. It became extremely hard to keep it going with how much I work. If things ever calm down again, then I might try to get back to it. 😃
Oh yeah baby that's some real cigar! Quick question for you brother, I tried to keep one of my cigar at 58% humidity and 18c° and it was really to dry... So I'm wondering is the whole process of dry boxing to keep the inside moist and the outside like the rapper and the Bender, more Dry so it burns perfectly... So for example the filler is at 65% the binder 61% and the rapper 58% What do you think? Because when you try to keep the whole cigar at 58 % is just way too dry
Definition- Relative humidity (RH) (expressed as a percent) also measures water vapor, but RELATIVE to the temperature of the air. In other words, it is a measure of the actual amount of water vapor in the air compared to the total amount of vapor that can exist in the air at its current temperature. Basically your temperature isn’t at room temp. 18 degrees C is very cold. Not much moisture is in your humidor at that temp. I always tell people to keep their temperature to 70 degrees F or 21 degrees C. 21 degrees C holds more moisture in the air than 18 degree C. That is why your cigars feel dry. I am planning on making a video on this soon. I get asked this question a lot. You might not think the temperature matters that much, but it’s huge. I want to say the amount of moisture in the air as temperature increases is almost an exponential curve.
😮oh ok so you think it would be better at higher temperature...? But why would it be better to drybox the cigar, instead of just keeping the cigar at the same temperature and humidity of the dry box? Because I totally agree with you that when i dry box it's way better, I just don't understand what exactly happen like the science behind it Because when I take a cigar at 62% and I drybox it it's not as good then when I take a 69% cigar and I dry box it (the 62% loses a lot of taste and becomes harsh in the mouth) that's why I came up with the theory that... it just makes the outside drier which is why it burns better but since the inside remains moist it preserves the oils and the taste What do you think? By the way thank you so much for the feedback brother👍
@nacimhi @nacimhi I don’t know exactly what you are doing over there. If you kept the cigar at 58% RH @ 19 degrees C, then that is a dry environment. 62% shouldn’t dry out your cigars if your temperature is at room temp, but if it’s colder than that you are drying out your cigars. 69% RH @ 19 degrees simply adds more moisture to the cigar vs 62% @ 19 degrees C. So in one case you could be dry boxing an already dried out cigar. For the 69% you could be dry boxing a wetter cigar. Temperatures play a huge factor in RH. Without that information you are flying blind. I will say this though. Anytime you look for short cuts, you are going to have issues.
Yeah I totally agree with you and I fixed that mistake, thank you very much brother But my question is more about the process of dry boxing like what exactly happened when you dry box? Would you say that the outside layer of the cigar become more dry and that's why it's better?
Dry boxing cigar removes the moisture from the entire cigar. You do it slow so that you don’t dry out your wrapper before the filler loses moisture. Also, you are thinking of it the wrong way. I keep my dry box @ 55% RH @ 70 degrees. If I place a over humidified cigar in the box and it has a 70/72% RH @ 70 degrees. The cigar will naturally find an equilibrium point between the high and the low. Basically the cigar will be brought down to the lower 60’s. The drying process most likely happens like this. The wrapper loses moisture. The moisture in the filler spreads throughout the rest of the cigar. Basically diffusion.
