My wife died two years ago, a sudden unexpected accident. I still long for her. I was in the hospital room all night with her. Next morning, the doctor told me she was brain dead and the only thing keeping her alive was the breathing machine. I and other family members had to make the decision to take her off of the machine. The hardest decision in my life I have ever made. We had 46 years of marital bliss, and I miss her so much. I love this beautiful song, and I lose it everytime I listen to it. Thank you God and thank you D & V!

I lost my mother and step dad in the tornado in 2011. I’ll never be able to unsee their bodies that night as we were the first to find them. I thank God for letting me see them through His eyes and not my own. For what was and not what was in front of me. They both knew and loved the Lord! You cry and pick up body parts for days wondering when it will end and when will that day come when your ready to release the pain. I’ve never felt closer to the Lord than that day and I’ve never felt closer to Mom than the day I hid myself away in my office and watched this video. I love and play music and it’s how as I say ring the sponge out. To this day I’ll set aside some time to sit and listen to this and visit Mom and let the tears flow. It never gets old and it never stops touching my heart and now those tears are tears of joy cause I know without a doubt that I’ll see her one day soon on the other side 😊
I played and sang this song today at the memorial of a neighbor. Our kids grew up together and she, and my wife and I were very good friends. She at one time rescued 2 children from a burning car and after pulling them out, the car exploded. She received an award for that from the Denver Fire Dept. but she never really recovered from the smoke damage to her lungs for that feat of heroism. I almost didn't make it through the song because of the emotion I felt. Roberta Rios will be missed by friends and family alike.

My Mom's best friend loved bluegrass and she had a hard fight with being diabetic. A few days before she passed to be with the lord she told her friends and family I will be waiting on the other side pain free. She was an amazing lady never ever said a harsh word to anyone and loved all people. She will be missed by many!
My beloved husband (of 30 years) went home to see His Lord just about 10 years ago. I miss him so very much. His home going turned out to be such a blessing. We had been with friends for Bible study that evening. When we got home my husband went to the bedroom to hook up to his kidney dialysis machine. He was diabetic. Most people had no idea he was so sick. He never showed how sick he really was. I went in shortly after. I had no idea what was happening. I got into bed and, as usual his arms or legs would jerk. After about the third time, I tried to wake him to roll over. He did not respond. Our son was living with us. I called to him. I think we both knew. The ambulance arrived and whisked him off to the hospital. We arrived about twenty minutes after the ambulance. I had called my Pastor and just as he came to the door of the waiting room. "I am so sorry, but there was nothing we could do" My Pastor and I just looked at each other in disbelief. My beloved's body was still there. But, praise the Lord, his soul was now with Him in Heaven! I miss him so very, very much. A few months later my son purchased a home and we moved in. I thank God every day....for my son, who is so wonderful to me. I am also extremely happy that not only my husband was a believer, but my son and I are is well. Thank You Jesus. His funeral was held at our church. It's a good thing because over 400 people came!!!
God bless you. I lost my only son 31 to the flu on Feb 8th 2014 after being sick 3 days. He died in bed from pneumonia. % months later my wife of 36 years had a stroke and passed away July 13. So So hard. Its been nearly 4 years now. I cry every day. They too knew Jesus. One day I will meet them again.

For 50 years i have believed in Heaven. I have experienced through a relationship with Jesus, the power unto Salvation,Sanctification, the Holy Ghost.. I have been healed many times, and prayed for many and they have been healed instantly. The joy peace love and Assurance i receive through that relationship lets me know the Word of God is true.

I've had similar experiences in dreams centered on my late wife, I don't know what these dreams are, I prefer to think of them as gifts from God giving me at least some consolation and hope after missing her so very much. My wife was a gift from God to me and I believe I was the same to her. We met as if by some guided occurrence and with God's help began to rescue one another. She was the only woman I have ever been able to trust, she confessed the same feelings about me. Lots of prayer was involved in our meeting, and it was such a feeling of relief for both of us when that happened. Why God saw fit to take her home I'll. never know. I am only glad that we had the 27 years we did have with one another. This song in some ways describes some of the dreams I have experienced regarding her and our marriage. I look forward to the day when my Lord decides to also take me home so that among other things, I will be able to be with her again. I know that The Lord has told us that in h-Heaven there will be no marriage; I trust that whatever replaces marriage will then be even better. And said that it was befitting for our mothers funeral.Most of the words fitting our situation since some of her children was in the Georgia when she passed. Two years ago i lay my mom aka grandma to the ground i was very close with her she raised me up in Church. Yesterday i went to her grave and i broke down crying because she been gone for 2 years it hurts but if she would be here she would be praying and she always tell me “Let it out redbird i love you” and i was extremely happy to have her as a mom and grandma now she’s on the other side of heaven waiting for me to join her and we can be reunited together again. My wife & I have seen these guys live 5 times including @The Grand Old Opry. Last Saturday had the chance to meet them after a show in Indiana. They are a class act. Gathered a few cd's and started playing them. God led me to this one and I have played it many times over for the past 2 days. Read the story behind the recording - that Jamie was "bawling" when he first heard it from songwriter Jimmy Fortune who, with 3 friends, wrote it following the losses of their fathers. Miss my parents and pray they are smiling and happy "On the Other Side."
My dad lost his mom when he was 16 (1952). He struggled for a long time; being one of 12 children left motherless. He had such a dream one night. He said she looked so happy; not worn down or old before her time ... but smiling and at peace. That dream gave Daddy peace to let her go finally. I lost Daddy in 2016. His body a shell of the man he once was; ravaged by cancer, chemo, and radiation. I had prayed for a cure. I had prayed for God to heal his body. I finally prayed for death because Daddy was suffering. A couple nights after he passed, I was blessed to have a dream of Daddy. He was eating at a great table. He was eating; a feat which he had so much trouble with in his last months. He seemed to not notice me for a bit, but then looked straight up at me and gave me his signature wink and thumbs up. God let me have this dream to assure me that Daddy's suffering was over. Now Mama is with Daddy. This song moves me to tears every time I hear it because it hits home.
Lost my dad May 1st. Haven't known hurt like this. But it helps to know he's taking part in the greatest adventure ever. To see GOD will heal all his troubles.

I lost my 83-year-9old mother to Heaven this last November. Her birthday is coming up in the next few days. I happened to hear this song today on CBN Radio--Southern Gospel, and it really ministered to me. It also made me even more Homesick.

My sister had been just diagnosed with Glioblastoma I went to see Daily and Vincent about two weeks later. I heard this song for the first time. It stuck with me. She died last night and I keep playing this over and over...and crying...and remembering.

For 50 years i have believed in Heaven. I have experienced through a relationship with Jesus, the power unto Salvation,Sanctification, the Holy Ghost.. I have been healed many times, and prayed for many and they have been healed instantly. The joy peace love and Assurance i receive through that relationship lets me know the Word of God is true.

I've had similar experiences in dreams centered on my late wife, I don't know what these dreams are, I prefer to think of them as gifts from God giving me at least some consolation and hope after missing her so very much. My wife was a gift from God to me and I believe I was the same to her. We met as if by some guided occurrence and with God's help began to rescue one another. She was the only woman I have ever been able to trust, she confessed the same feelings about me. Lots of prayer was involved in our meeting, and it was such a feeling of relief for both of us when that happened. Why God saw fit to take her home I'll. never know. I am only glad that we had the 27 years we did have with one another. This song in some ways describes some of the dreams I have experienced regarding her and our marriage. I look forward to the day when my Lord decides to also take me home so that among other things, I will be able to be with her again. I know that The Lord has told us that in h-Heaven there will be no marriage; I trust that whatever replaces marriage will then be even better. Thanks for this reassuring song about lost spouses and the feelings that accompany such loss.

We lost our mother Jan.6th,2013.This song woke me up. I believe God wanted me to hear it.So i told a few of my sisters and brothers about the song. We listened to it in the hospital.They loved it. And said that it was befitting for our mothers funeral.Most of the words fitting our situation since some of her children was in the Georgia when she passed. So they didnt get the chance to say goodbye.That being sad,Dailey&Vincent you made a song that lifted our spirits and spoke to so many families in their darkest hour.And we are so thankful to God for you.

Two years ago i lay my mom aka grandma to the ground i was very close with her she raised me up in Church. Yesterday i went to her grave and i broke down crying because she been gone for 2 years it hurts but if she would be here she would be praying and she always tell me “Let it out redbird i love you” and i was extremely happy to have her as a mom and grandma now she’s on the other side of heaven waiting for me to join her and we can be reunited together again. My wife & I have seen these guys live 5 times including @The Grand Old Opry. Last Saturday had the chance to meet them after a show in Indiana. They are a class act. Gathered a few cd's and started playing them. God led me to this one and I have played it many times over for the past 2 days. Read the story behind the recording - that Jamie was "bawling" when he first heard it from songwriter Jimmy Fortune who, with 3 friends, wrote it following the losses of their fathers. Miss my parents and pray they are smiling and happy "On the Other Side."

My dad lost his mom when he was 16 (1952). He struggled for a long time; being one of 12 children left motherless. He had such a dream one night. He said she looked so happy; not worn down or old before her time ... but smiling and at peace. That dream gave Daddy peace to let her go finally.
I lost Daddy in 2016. His body a shell of the man he once was; ravaged by cancer, chemo, and radiation. I had prayed for a cure. I had prayed for God to heal his body. I finally prayed for death because Daddy was suffering. A couple nights after he passed, I was blessed to have a dream of Daddy. He was eating at a great table. He was eating; a feat which he had so much trouble with in his last months. He seemed to not notice me for a bit, but then looked straight up at me and gave me his signature wink and thumbs up. God let me have this dream to assure me that Daddy's suffering was over. Now Mama is with Daddy. This song moves me to tears every time I hear it because it hits home.

I lost my 83-year-9old mother to Heaven this last November. Her birthday is coming up in the next few days. I happened to hear this song today on CBN Radio--Southern Gospel, and it really ministered to me. It also made me even more Homesick.
