It varies: Size of the freight train, the speed it's going, the orders it receives on radio. I remember one time having to wait an hour for one to pass in 2019.
Mine is a 1.5 Gigabit Upload. So a 100 GB video uploads inside of 25 minutes, allowing me to record and upload in perfect 4K and 8K resolutions. It's the processing that takes the longest. UA-cam is a little on the slow side for that. :)
@@RosylaStreamingNetwork I have to divide my one gig ethernet port in 2 directions unless I upgrade to a 2.5 gig ethernet card to saturate both direction dam must be nice
Yeah unfortunately most onboard ports are only 1 or 1.5 GB. You would need an actual PCI card to handle the speed. That's what I went out and got, a 3 Gigabit PCI slotted ethernet card.
You got the best train videos on youtube!
That's very sweet of you for saying that! Really livens my day! I appreciate that! I have plenty of them. :)
Nice. This train rolls right through my town of Oshawa. Cheers...
Glad you enjoyed the video. I have quite a few VIA RAIL train videos. :)
How long is the delay?
You mean the layover or...?
Like how long does is stop for freight trains. i heard that it’s delay because they share track with freight trains

What engine was the lead? I may have recorded your train at Belleville.
We were on train #64 that day.
Nope, I didn't record it. I would be at the crossing with a huge camera and tripod.
No problem at all. :)
