I decided to try something a little different for this time around for everyone's favorite series (Musical Theatre Monday). ALSO: I need someone to make my thumbnails... Whobilly the two player game album is incredibly underrated Joe Iconis is an amazing writer and you see it in the album. You should def give it a listen if you haven’t already

I was surprised with take a chance on me, I was in a production of little women half a year ago, the actor that played Laurie was very good, your voice is amazing though!
On a side note I just got my first main lead, playing Buddy in Elf Jr. in December!

Wow that’s really smooth & relaxed, it’s amazing!.. so learning classical singing foundation (belcanto Pavarotti etc..)- it translates to broadway style easily? I got strong rock ballad itchy throat belting singing style but will try to relearn again from ground up to do some Disney broadway-like covers. Thanks!

Broadway songs always are hard for me to sing because nowadays broadway is mostly dominated by high tenors and I’m a baritone. Of course, I am always pushing my range to be better! Any tips on doing that?
This may sound like sacrilege but I found that developing my “metal” voice has helped me approach higher chest notes in a different way. Learning how to get a growl in your voice on higher notes really makes you focus on your support and it’s really not too difficult to take the growl out and experiment with the slightly different support system you’ve got going on in that scenario
I’m not a professional by any means, but what I’ve done is just keep trying and trying (as long as it doesn’t hurt). For me, starting low and sliding up to the note I was aiming for helped a lot. Also lots of air is key. Hope this helps in some way
