I’m coming over from the uk on may 26th. I’m selling everything I own lol😮 How much did you start out with as a buffer? I’m just worried I won’t find work right away. Have to do my TEFL test n Cambodia first. Any advice welcome. Cheers
@@SAMINCAMBODIA24going through AVSE means they’ll even find you employment so you could have a job within days of completing the course.

Where have you found the cheapest place to buy vitamins like "billberry" for your eye sight in Phnom Penh? Also where have you found the cheapest place to buy medications in Phnom Penh?
I’ve never purchased either of those things so I’m not sure. If you use NHAM24 delivery app they have pharmacies on there. And sometimes the app is running promotions so if the timing is right you could get a discount on an order from a grocery store or pharmacy and it’s delivered right to you
I know I'm late, but uCare Pharmacy is pretty much the go to for any and everything. There are 1000s of corner pharmacies everywhere but they really only carry small stuff
Hi Tom my mate.first of all thanks for the video.One of your previous videos you said Avse actually providing free accommodation if we choose in person course but on their website they re showing prices of the hotels N stuff nearby the course center.Can you please inform us about it because I'd rather do the course in person in Phnom Penh.Thanks pal.
It’s changed starting Jan 01 this year, that accommodation is not included. The cost of the course also decreased because of this. - the reason was people were showing up with different levels of expectation and a guesthouse wasn’t suitable enough for some. Now what they do is provide a list of recommended hotels ranging in price from a basic guest house to a nicer western style hotel. The videos where I said that were before Jan 01 - sorry about the confusion
@@TomTripsOut Cheers mate.i am Turkish age 41 used to live in the UK plus here in Turkey spent almost 20 years around Brits and Although i am not a British passport holder i speak English almost like a native speaker.Plus i can write and read English with an ease.also quite good at grammar.Having said that i Ve no degree.so if I do that course is there any hope for me to find a teaching job out there mate? thanks in advance buddy
@@alexturkishtoon yes you can. In Cambodia you don’t need a degree. Even I do not have a degree. A lot of people choose Cambodia for this reason. Being a non native speaker there’s a chance you might make slightly lower than a native speaker. But it sounds like if they interviewed you for a job you would sound like a native speaker anyway and they wouldn’t notice. I knew a Swedish girl who was a teacher. Also Indian. So it’s possible to be non native it’s okay. If you reach out to AVSE they can do a free zoom call with you and answer all your concerns. They’re super helpful
