I have a cousin and her family that has a house way up in the forested area in Wildwood that has beautiful views of the hilly areas out there and I believe you can see Hidden Valley from their house. So beautiful out there.
Wildwood is a definite “yay”! I’m very interested in this “wi-fi” project. We live in rural Franklin county but I heard more about this today on the national news. Wonder if high speed internet will ever reach us…maybe it’s slowly creeping further west. 🤞 thanks for your videos. I always enjoy them and find them very informative.
@@LivingStLouis we have BlueBit. It’s a WISP not cell and not satellite. We can’t get Uverse or spectrum or T-Mobile or any other home internet from a cell provider unless we pay for a hot spot. Which not even sure that would work. We have a micro cell booster to even have good cell service to use our cell phone at home for calls. It’s ok but it lags when the kids want to play PlayStation or there will be buffering if we watch a movie on a streaming service. I’ve just assumed it is what it is. With a speed test, at best we get about 15 Mbps download and like 4 upload. NOTHING is available where we live. Even when the WISP people came out they said if we wanted to have fiber high speed internet installed in our subdivision it would be about $250,000. So for now, we just wait or eventually move.
Totally understand. I know the state of MO is working on broadband grants and funding for improved infrastructure in rural areas but I definitely get the frustration of not having enough options for better speed
Excluding the parks, there is nothing for kids/ teenagers to do. The city puts in alot of neighborhoods where houses are super close to each otber. It is a nice city but you will have to leave it to find more family activities.

How are the school districts? Originally from Ohio and looking to relocate. I want something a little more rural with a few acres, but close enough drive to amenities and good schools.
Wildwood is in the Rockwood school district which is MASSIVE and very highly rated. Niche ranked them #4 in STL but each school within rockwood will rank slightly differently www.niche.com/k12/search/best-school-districts/m/st-louis-metro-area/

My favorite part of Wildwood is that it is at the intersection of 5 or 6 different zip codes.
Hahaha very true there's several zipcodes in the area!
That doesn't mean much, Belleville IL covers 6 zip codes. Look them up for yourself- 62220, 62221, 62222, 62223, 62226, 62243 are all Belleville.
