- The BBC TVL Capita goons are relentless with their harassment campaign on me, sending more letter and an even bigger Capita goon than the first wimpy one that showed up ! Just uploading this info as education for others who are thinking about going legally TV licence free.

I cancelled my TV licence over 6 years ago. Never gave them a reason and I've never had a visit or a letter. I'm so gutted as I would love to record them at my front door. I feel unloved. Lol.

I have not paid the parasites for 8 years now, and never will again. I unashamedly watch all live tv, including bbc from time to time. I have no guilt whatsoever. If the mugs transmit it, I’ll watch it. Simple as that.

39 years and counting since I last bought a TV license, it is a total scam, that would amount to at least four thousand pounds over that time......imagine....capita/TV licensing can piss off.

Don’t contact them. It is fun to bin their letters and ignore their door knocking. I opened the door to one the other day as I was expecting an Amazon delivery. Soon as I realised it was a TV goon (2 seconds) I shut the door in their face. They posted a leaflet threat which I then promptly binned. Treat it as a game and give it less concern than a junk mail pizza menu.

Been living in my own house since 1984 so have been receiving these letters for over 30 years.
I have never replied and never talk to them in any way shape or form, the letters I receive are addressed to the ‘occupier’ normally, but occasionally they put my real name on the top..... No panic, it just means that they have looked at the electoral role register again, ignore the letters and they soon revert back to being addressed to the ‘Occupier’. And the cycle starts all over again.

If They ***Do Not*** know who you are they are genuinely powerless and impudent unless you engage with them.
Once you start talking to them they then build a case against you and can proceed, if you never engage with them they cannot progress anything.
Cut them off at the ankles and they can never get any higher.

I normally don’t answer the door to them, if I accidentally open the door to a goon then it’s “sorry mate I am not the resident and don’t know when they will be in” and close the door.
I spoke to police too. They told me and I quote: 'They are allowed to threaten and harass me as I am not following company procedure'. I also wrote to my local cretin of an MP, Nadhim Zahawi. He told me and I also quote 'The BBC have a right to check if people are telling the truth'. I wonder if Zahawi has a firearm's licence, if not, has he informed the police he doesn't need one?

In a previous post, I suggested that a USA-style _“Class Action Lawsuit _*_(🇺🇸)”_* be filed with others who are (or have been) harassed by the company contracted by the BBC to extort TV licenses from members of the public who no longer watch BBC-prohibited broadcasts. Additional research has determined that a _“Group Litigation”_ procedure exists in UK law and is the equivalent to a Class Action Lawsuit *(🇬🇧).* Depending on the specifics of UK law, not only would the contractor be held liable, but possibly also the BBC. The BBC hired this contractor and is ultimately responsible for their bad acts.
So, you need to find a law firm willing to accept the challenge of the BBC's licensing blackmail scheme. A firm that practices in corporate corruption and Group Litigations *Good Luck* bringing the BBC's dogs to heal once and for all.

Five years ago I phoned and told them I don't have a TV.Was informed that a man would visit within the next three months, he came two months later to find that I did not have a TV. Then after two years I have been inandated with letters to the occupier which I put straight in the bin as anything with to the occupier I regard as junck mail.I also have had over the past years visits from the TV people when I have been out which I also ignored their cards.I just regard this as harassment! I would not have a TV if you paid me, it's a listening devise, it's bias propergander, they take from the poor with the license ,I could go on but will stop there.

I have a no cold calling sticker on my door. Whenever a goon knocks on my door trying to sell me a licence , I call the police immediately. It's what you are supposed to do.

I’ve worked in pirate radio for 20years and I can guarantee they cannot tell what channel you are receiving or watching off a tv aerial! You can only be tracked if your transmitting a frequency,

I would like to say that I watch BBC on iplayer and don't pay them, but that's not true, there's F'all worth watching on BBC, so I don't bother. When they used to cover all of the sporting events it might of been worthwhile, but all you get is 24hour news, repeats and daytime tv, it's total shit.
Imagine the police sending threatening letters to all those who don't have a firearm's licence (that includes me) and telling them that you need to inform them you don't need one. Then sending around 'gun inspectors' to see if you are telling your truth. They'd end up in court for harassment and misconduct in a public office.

It’s encouraging to see so many people commenting on here that they’ve cancelled their TV licenses 6 years ago etc. which suggests more are waking up. But if those numbers increase to the level where it threatens the BBC’s theft business model, they will lobby for a European style broadcast tax that covers computers. Such a tax could be compulsory.

I haven’t paid for a licence In years, not since they turned up at my door and had the audacity to read me my rights when I had my very ill newborn in my arms fresh out of a long stay in hospital. Back then I was very naive, my daughter was watching a fimbles DVD and they used that as evidence as her watching live tele without stepping in the door. My direct debit for the licence had bounced a month before when My baby was almost dying in hospital, it was at the bottom of my priorities list.
We then moved house and I forgot about it, got a new licence and they sent a warrant for my ARREST for evading court.
Thankfully the court laughed and threw it out when I explained everything in front of the judge.
However they still send warrants for my arrest for missing a £12 payment.
UTTER SCUMBAGS they are and they are NEVER getting a single penny out of me ever again. My tv works fine without it.

I believe it should be the same here. One of the letter received was blatant blackmail and the police were interested right up until they realised the blackmail letter was from TVL, then all of a sudden it wasn't blackmail anymore. Obviously the BBC and Capita are exempt from blackmail.

No one has to inform the DVLA that there is no car at the address, when there is no car. So, why should there a need for anyone to inform the TV licencing that there is no TV?

I have been getting a letter a month since I moved into my house in Dec 2010. Only one goon visit so far and I was out.
i sent them a letter 5 years ago and have not heard anything since. did not disclose my name or any other personal info other than i am the lawful inhabitor of my address. same with 2 family members at other addresses. the less info you feed them the less they can do. no contract no consent

Got a letter saying we don't pay yet have a no licence. It saying "you've been watching TV and could be at risk of an arrest or £1000 fine. Now I'm under investigation after proving to them I have a letter saying 'I don't need one'.
Then they send men round to see but I wasn't in either, then they tried calling me and my cell phone picked it up as 'fraud' I was like good on your Samsung. Never contact the police they're just as bad and protect these scums.
I'd like a follow up on any harassment stuff, would be interesting if all LLF joined together to make a case, I've been keeping my letters and putting dates they have been delivered on them...

I have a relation who lives in deepest darkest wales .they can not recieve terestial tv by all accounts the bbc sent letters out 10 years ago demanding 5 grand of each resident of the valley to construct an arial.even if they didnt want it

THEY CANT GET TERESTIAL TV ....one visited my relation he spent all day trying to prove her wrongwhen asked for a drink she told him the nearest shop was 15 miles away he asked to use her toilet she said the nearest public toilets were in welshpool ...about a hour and a half away ...he was not happy when she made hime put every thing back as he found it ...shes sure he pissed him self in the van
But the best ...he left his mobile ....he had to drive we think birmingham out to were my aunt lives and back to where ever ...on a good its about 21/2 hours from the m6 if you hit traffic its easily 3 but to then do a full shift ....13 plus hours of bull shit as me aunty said he must love rejection
Excellent video, excellent advice, I've been legally licence free for 12 years now, yes, I get the monthly threatening letters, I just bin them, they are only computer generated anyway, meaningless, and anyone who knocks on my door gets completely ignored, unless I'm expecting someone, the best way to deal with TVL/CAPITA, is to just completely ignore them, don't return any letters and never answer the door to strangers, just forgot about them, and live your life👍
The problem with not answering the door is the fact that I get a lot of parcels delivered so do need to answer it but I just tell them not interested and to leave if I have to, no more conversation than that.

In the U.S property owners have another right that I might point out here. Here if somebody is trespassing on your property and harassing you you can get what is known as a 'no trespass warrant' that is issued against them. All we do is we call the police identify the person who trespassed and the police log it into their computer and then they print out a 'no trespass warrant'. They then go give this warrant to the Violator and give them a warning that they will be arrested if they are on your property ever again. Not sure if there's anything like that in the UK but if there is you need to be utilizing it. I had to utilize this part of American law a few years back against juveniles who were trespassing on my property and vandalizing stuff.
Here in the UK trespassing is not a criminal offence, it's just a civil offence so no we don't have trespassing laws like the US.
@@PINACI in the U.S. it's kind of in-between. What that warrant does is it elevates things because then afterwards continued violations would be considered violating a lawful order by a police officer which is a much higher offense.

What they are doing is making you prove that your not guilty of the crime, when it’s really down to them to prove that your guilty of commit the crime. So much for innocent until proven guilty

Capita Are paid £58m per year to harass and bully people into buying a TV licence even if that licence is not required and the BBC have also extended their contract for a further 25yrs.

In Jan 2016 I informed TV Licensing that I no longer required a license. They sent me two letters, followed up by an inspector who declined access to check whether I had television equipment installed. I haven't since heard from them, apart from receiving one letter after their visit, to inform that I no longer required a license at my address and that they 'may' revisit to check again after two years. So I'm due a visit at any time. I'd rather stay uninformed, than watch the BBC and be constantly misinformed.

We here in Aust had TV and radio licenses to pay for our ABC (our equivalent of your BBC and just as useless) but the Fed Gov abolished the licenses back in Sept '74 because the cost of policing it was not worth it. I can't believe that you still have them.

I keep getting TVL letters addressed to 'Legal Occupier'... my name maybe a legal fiction but it isn't legal occupier either! I have long since wised up to this bullshit and haven't bothered to correct them on it. I've implemented a simple strategy: non-violent, passive non-engagement. I see a threat-o-gram and chuck it on the pile to be binned in due course. I know I don't legally need a licence and my life is better for it.

Wouldn't it be easier to just put a tax on TVs when you buy it rather than have this licence nonsense? We had TV licences in Australia until 1975 but nobody paid.
Well done, great info as I have just cancelled. They insisted I email so I did. Within this email I formally withdrew any implied right of access to my property.
I also informed them that I am doing this because of the multiple videos of the harassment of the public by their representatives.

Extortion in a nutshell
Never pay the licence fee even if you watch live tv. The BBC and the other channles are not fulfilling their contract as unbiassed broadcasters. Therefore there no longer exists a valid contract. Also they can never prove you do watch live tv.
Their proof can be in the form of witness evidence and/or confession. Just don't give them either.
Told you, you would get hassle they tried it with me I just called them directly and bang it stopped but taking legal action against them for harassment, one way to help by that is writing to them stating that if anyone comes to your property you will deem it harassment and it's easy to then get them to settle out of court!
They only have permission to be on your property if they get court order but it's hard for them to get that.
In Australia our ABC fee is pay to the ATO Australian Taxation Office, we don't even get to see it, so think yourself lucky you've got the opportunity not to pay it!
The amount paid is about $0.05 per day so it comes out to about $18.50 Australian per year. Pohms are being asked to pay the equivalent to $285 AU. That's a years worth of Netflix or UA-cam premium.
The BBC is also a monopoly, and that's illegal!

Not sure how many letters I have received from "tv license ltd" but I reckon it's gone easily over 💯 now. I've opened maybe 2 and kept the rest. I've contemplated sending them all back, "return to sender" 🤔
What annoys me is that they send letters which are clearly from TV licencing. Any other debt collection company would be nailed to the wall for sending obvious letters.
Sadly they don't visit me any more - I think I must have been blacklisted!
