- Police officers all around the country are abusing their powers by telling people that they are only allowed to exercise once per day and that it has to be near your home and are issuing FPNs for people who are outside. This is not what the new coronavirus act 2020 says at all. There are no limits on how many times you can exercise in any one day and police don't have the powers to stop people from driving in their cars to visit areas to exercise or walk their dogs. Police are overstepping their powers and the NPCC will soon send them new guidelines telling them to stop.

I know a farm worker who was filling up the tractor at the fuel station, before they went inside and paid, they went to the cash machine and drew out £100 when the farm labourer. A police officer approached and asked if going to the cash machine was necessary. The farm labourer was holding their mobile phone and the police officer got paranoid he was being filmed and knocked the phone out of the farm labourers hand and smashed the phone. He wasn't being filmed the farm labourer got into an argument. The police officer apologised. But that won't be the end of the matter as the tractor records for 20 minutes after the engine is switched off, so I'm looking forward to seeing the footage.

If they want to stop travel in vehicles they need to start refunding some road tax/insurance. We have all paid through the nose to be able to do so, and are isolated in our vehicles for the most part!

It's not just the police's fault it is the criminal justice system. If, for example, as per another post he only received a 'suspended' sentence, then as the judiciary are the ones issuing the sentence then the judiciary are to blame. Indeed, Lord Denning explained that is was better the guilty - he was talking about innocent members of the public - are better hung than set free where abuse by the police and justice system is alleged.

This is a mile from my house, so nice to see that our local force are also being completely unreasonable.
He self incriminated himself, using his capacity of a police officer claiming he was bored before he drove off... In other words, he was just entertaining himself at your expense and because he was not entertained and had his ass handed back to him, he drove off! Over zealous policing like this is going to get the police a bad name... oh wait hang on... they already have a bad name for themselves, and this police officer is a good example of why! I spoke with a police officer the other day, his attitude was the total opposite to this one!

I love it when they walk away and so 'I am bored now'. That happened to me a few years back when I walked down a road that should have been blocked off but there was no barrier or sign in place. A copper stopped me at the end of it and asked me to go back, saying the road was closed. I told him there was no sign and no barrier. I just refused. I made it clear I was not going to walk all the way back, and when I stood my ground he did exactly the same 'OK I am bored now mate, on your way'.
It wasn't Bradfordshire police, it was Bedfordshire police that hadn't issued any tickets. Just saying, I know because it's where I live.

Yes mate, and I have added the health document in my description which outlays your actual restrictions and when you can go out with reasonable excuse and once you read this document then you will realise that nowhere in it does it state that you can only exercise for one hour per day and only near your property etc.

Announcing the lockdown last Monday, Boris Johnson said people could exercise only once a day. But in the briefing from police leaders, no limit is stated as to how many times people can exercise, with the guidance to officers saying valid excuses to be outside include “to take exercise alone or with other members of their household”
Well done for not backing down, but, why not concentrate on his face longer, so as, everybody, including his boss, knows exactly, who he is. Hopefully, a complaint still went in.
The blue lagoon lake has been dyed black regularly by the local council and other authority's for many years as it's dangerous to swim in as it has a very high PH, this is not a new thing.....

The only "resonable" written into law is the reason to take exercise. Nothing is mentioned about distance or how you get there at all. The police should know this ffs. They wasted their own time!

A woman in Newcastle got arrested on Saturday morning and fined 2 days later in court £660 pounds for not showing ID and refusing to explain why she was out etc
I explained why I was out, the officer just didn't like it my reasonable excuse.

There also seems to be this misconception that ONLY key workers can be working. It's simply not true. People can work, and travel to and from work, if they CANNOT work from home. (Observing the social distancing guidelines, of course).
Exactly, read the document in the description as to what your restrictions actually are and you will see that there are no limits to who can go to work or how much exercise you can take or for how long etc. Police are trying to enforce politicians wishes instead of the law.
