Hi Ladies🙋🏻♀️💕 I’ve had fun trying a new nail art technique that I haven’t tried before. It’s #stringnailart and this is the first time I’ve given it a go! My dear friend Nora @naq57 got a few of us together for a #reunionnailartcollab and it was fun to try out this. I’ve seen video where it was done with a chain and string both with Gel polish but I thought I’d try it with string and regular polish. I selected a few beautiful @mavala_nz polishes that I used over a wet white polish base. I love the way the colours looked together and the patterns they made. It’s a fiddly technique I must say but I just took my time and love how it came out.

I love nail art. I'm not a professional nail artist, just self taught. I like all things creative and find doing nail art designs a great tool for expressing this. And hey you get to carry your masterpiece around with to you to admire at anytime!
I use lots of different techniques to complete my looks and don't stick to one theme. I like switching it up for each mani. I like nail stamping the most but I also do decals, reverse/advanced stamping, lead-lighting, foils, water decal and double stamping. Designs with an Asian theme are my favourite even though I haven't done many myself I've admired other people's creations. I range my designs from florals, to geometric, to Aztec to Asian and everything in between!
I never claim originality, my ideas come from lots of different influences.

Turned out very pretty! I've seen this done so many different ways and the result is always different and pretty. I remember seeing this done on a canvas and who'd ever think to do that for nails! Genius.

thanks Joanie. I was invited to join a collab for this so it was a nice reason to try it out. I haven’t really seen many videos out (none in English yet) so I was going in a bit blind. Though it’s a bit fiddly it’s still relatively simple to do and lots of fun!. TFW and you must try it too 😁🙋🏻♀️💕

Lovely! I had been trying this with string but was having a hard time. I got some nice effects using thin jewelry chain. Wetting the string never occurred to me. Thanks for the tip.
