- ANC spokesperson Mahlengi Bhengu-Motsiri says the party will not be threatened by the DA into voting for its preferred candidate for the City of Tshwane mayorship.
"We really frown upon the idea of threatening the ANC on the part of Hellen Zille... We are not answerable to her for decisions of the ANC except those that threaten the format of the GNU... We keep the door open for conversations but they must not be foregrounded by a threatening environment because we will not be intimidated," she says.
Political parties are racing against time to agree on who will be the next mayor of the administrative capital.

Time for treats is long. If the DA doesn't take a stand on this, the ANC will have no reason to take them seriously. They should let MK or whoever wants KZN take it. Same with Nelson Mandela Bay. Maybe if this happens, they lose enough support across the whole country, and they might realize they need to take their partners seriously.
