Seriously, it's unnecessary to put all those words in their dialogues, so they include some mild common swears. I appreciate the balance this show took to its swear words, it’s a major pet peeve of mine when adult cartoons have characters swearing like sailors every other sentence purely because they’re allowed to…Fiona and Cake only put them where they sounded natural and not only was it not distracting but it made the humor land better when they were used

Imma be honest; Hazbin Hotel is WAY BETTER than Fiona and Cake. F+C is 5 episodes of wandering through annoying bullshit and complaining about basic white people problems; 3 episodes of Fiona having an actual character arc of dealing with adversity and the consequences of her mistakes, and then an annoying bullshit finale. HH starts off kinda cringe edgelord but pretty quickly drops consistent characters with actual motivations, issues, and personalities on you, and the ending ends up super engaging and well-earned. F+C is cal-arts cringe to me, while HH is surprisingly based.
I remember when this show released and when I was going to watch it I got JUMPSCARED by the age rating. Not bc it was an adult show, but bc it was the same as the original Adventure Time CENSORED version (in Brazil and Mexico it used to be rated as +12, changed it to +10 some years ago), so I thought they were going to censor everything where I live and got really sad. It just turned out this rating is mostly due these swearings, but I live in Brazil, we have so many heavier swearings that translating these they were just normal words so Max didn’t even cared and just placed F&C as a kids show. Although CNBR refused to show on TV bc it’s “too mature”. We will never know what happens in the mind of whoever decides the parental rating here

"I swear to God," "On the blood of Jesus did you not just say that to me", "I swear on my mother's soul"; historically that was the most scandalous because your staking your own very soul's damnation on how pissed you are with someone. Very untoward kind of talk.
Nowadays, everything's flipped. We say "fuck" when we mean "damn" and say "Oh my God" when we mean "no shit".
The reason I'm laying all this out is to unironically argue that "Fuck" is way more Christian a thing to say than "Oh my God", on a historical and liturgical basis. Fuck is one of the best words in the English language.

Madeleine Martin did amazing on JoJo's Circus. This is what she did twenty years before Fionna & Cake. In this show, she voices JoJo, an inquisitive, silly, and active 6-year-old female clown who is the title main protagonist of the series. She resides in Circus Town with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Tickle. She has a pet lion named Goliath. JoJo attends the Little Big Top Circus Tent, a clown school where all young soon-to-be circus performers (including her and Goliath) learn under their teacher taught Mrs. Kersplatski. Her classmates include Skeebo, Croaky, Trina, Dinky, and Tater.
