It definitely takes real grips and mil spec stocks! You can also throw a real ar15 buffer in there that has the weights and completely eliminates bolt bounce . Mags are very hard to come by in the states just a fair warning but they do take G&p and ghk mags also quite a few Chinese brand mags like matrix jing gong viper tech that will work without any mods. I’ve owned this Gbbr for almost a year and have had zero malfunctions or issues with the rifle it has worked amazing . So far I have a real grip stock and buffer I have also upgraded my nozzle inner barrel muzzle device and hop up unit which I strongly encourage you to upgrade to hop up unit they are tricky to find since WA is now a dinosaur in the gbb world but things can be found with a little research and boy do they work my new hop up plus inner barrel has me hitting silhouette targets at 50 meters no problem and can make shots semi consistently out to 60 meters now I will say to get my Gbbr where it’s at today I’ve put a lot of money especially in the mags my Gbbr is now roughly worth 1500 so be ready to spend some coin but it’s well worth it . Last but definitely not least the kick especially after added a weighted real steel buffer is absolutely amazing and is like shooting a .22 maybe even a little more felt recoil pretty amazing definitely recommend. Save yourself a few hundred bucks and don’t go with the mws and upgrade the shit out of this and the performance with be there plus kicks and feels way more realistic then the mws !!
I agree with you regarding skipping splurging on a MWS from the jump and buying something cheaper albeit with lower performance OOTB compared to the MWS. Then, source upgrades(WA system is old, and parts aren't as available as they once were.. but, they're out there. I got most of mine from Emperion and the rest from Evike), then upgrade/rebuild/tune the replica. I honestly almost enjoy the tinkering of taking them down and cleaning/lubing or changing/upgrading parts as much as shooting and playing. Hop-up is the final piece I need for my MK18, performance wise at least. Which hop do you recommend? I've looked around quite a bit, but, haven't been able to settle on a good aftermarket option.
I wish I remember the site I got it from but it was the prime metal hop up unit Wa m4a1 (mauri version) comes with a mauri 60 degree rubber . I just looked it up you can get it on airsoft global but you have to source from Hong Kong so shipping hits you hard but it’s worth it . It can hop heavy bbs it hops .36 fine with a lot of adjustment left ! Also the hop up adjustment would be in your chamber and adjust with a small Allen key instead of on the bottom of the outer barrel . Also from watching tons of mws videos and being part of the dischord other than aftermarket support I just don’t see the 250-300 dollars more makes up for the performance I’m getting out of my king arms I really don’t I’m not saying it doesn’t have a little better performance but I have yet to have any kind of malfunctions my bolt still locks back and has almost zero wear marks the trigger and internals are more realistic then an mws and have not upgraded and internals in my lower I have only changed my nozzle to the s&t one cause it has a brass nozzle tip and it’s 25 bucks on evike ! Kicks like a mule and I can reliably get two mags of bbs the G&p 39 round pmags with one gas fill and frankly I’m happy with one I reload and reminded when I’m playing plus I have 5 mags . Now the stock mags suck I have 7 mags but two king arms mags are down get ahold of ghk g5 mags or G&p so much nicer really turns the gun into a nice piece of kit. Also I recommend getting a real steal carbine buffer with the steel weights they come with two weights inside take out one and leave one in it will completely take away bolt bounce and completely change your gun and make so snappy . I wish I could send you a video of it shooting that 15 dollar real ar15 buffer just wakes the gun up and it runs so smooth and sounds like it’s enjoying it as much as you are ! Now I will admit counting my mags and accessories plus upgrades my mk18 is now well worth 1500 but that was over a 6 month period and still upgrading with accessories mainly now ! I really couldn’t recommend the buffer more it just wakes up the gun and really makes it feel so reliable and that it will never break down on you! I hope this helped .

But yes you can run any real steel mail-spec stock you can also run real stuff buffers too I’m running a ar15 carbine buffer with weights in mine and it makes the fun so snappy and almost eliminates bolt bounce which basically makes your gun super reliable I haven’t had a single malfunction in over 4-5000 bbs it’s a beast honestly . And you can source parts from over seas it’s not to hard just got to be willing to look if you want exotic parts like I’m running a prime hop up unit WA based marui type and comes with a TM hop rubber and really made me be able to touch people at 50-60 meters no problem !! Also it’s extremely solid too absolutely no wobble between the upper and lower receiver I can’t compliment the Gbbr enough if you have anymore questions don’t hesitate to ask !! I’m so glad I made the purchase and save a few hundred for upgrades and cosmetics which I’ve done a bunch it’s worth about 1700 now but we’ll worth it and that’s with 7 mags too but I only run 5 in game
@@matthewjordan8452 I tried getting one of those prime hop units, but they are sold out as of now. @brodude8641 Honestly 0 complaints with the rifle itself it's as flawless and as beautiful as they made it seem. The way it shoots is simply awesome and the recoil from the gas and bolt is definitely something awesome, aswell as very easy to maintain. The only issue I do have with it isn't even an issue with the gun but the magazine itself 1. Low bb compaccity 2. I saw one of these at my local Scheels and it felt like the real thing. I own a couple Daniel Defense ar 15s and I could hardly tell a difference 😂. Theyre full metal/aluminim and built like real ar 15s.
I personally only use my AEG for wall art because I prefer having blowback and realism. Yeah I do have to reload my mags a lot and I cannot spray and pray like those AEG users but in my opinion the blowback and realistic operation is worth it.

This gun is not all the hype when i got mine my rail wasnt secured properly and even after adjusting hopup and changing bb weight it still cant even shoot 50 ft without falling on its face. Would be a nice gun but performance is minimal.
@@Deuces0810 probably 3rd party manufacturering causes an issue on their end probably, I dunno. Clearly if they made the mistake so many times, it might be intentional due to an underlying issue. If not then complain about it I guess.
Actual DD rails are tan anodized. The colour varies because of the process, so there is no true “right colour” for the RIS II rail. Don’t worry about minutiae like the colour of your toy gat and just have fun.
its a wa system just manufactured by ka. Also i saw you asked about mags and parts reliability. Internally the gun has never caused me a problem and seems to look like it'll last very long, but the magazine it comes with is terrible. First it weighs more than the mk18 and It will at a certain point leak like all gas mags but specifically disassembaling it is an absolute pain. I held the valve down to let out some gas once (a mistake) which normally is fine, but it caused a small o ring to fall off. Took 3 hrs dissembling and reassembling the entire mag as necessary to remove a simple outlet valve. Also the old style pins require a f ton of force to push through. Just find some ghk g5 mags it'll save your life just they're a pain to load compared to the stock mags spring allowing a small speedloader to work well.
@@minecraftjedi033more3 thank you for the honest response. I actually somewhat expected that since I had the 1st gen King arms gbbr M4 and the magazine is always the point of failure. Seems like despite over 10 years since it's release in the US, the WA/King Arms magazine issues was never fixed which was a hard and expensive lesson for me. Do you have a video of your fix for the magazine issue?
@@MK384 no i honestly saw it as a fat pain and was about to give up halfway through but was able to fix it. It's really easy to tell what's wrong when disassembling the magazine by finding a missing part that's usually just hanging loose. If you can find a disassembly video on yt you're set but honestly if it happens again i wouldn't even try to fix it. The reassembly process is extremely difficult, and you'll probably need a vice if your magazine came bent like mine. Still i only paid 280$ total for it so it wasn't a loss for me, and while the gun doesn't have great range the mk18 in cqb is good enough for me. Also the hop up is adjustable but it's on the outside of the outer barrel, so you need to remove the handguard to adjust.
@@MK384 honestly i'm just kind of salty that all of the work it took was to put a little o ring back on when modern mags can have the valve just unscrew instead of fully disassembling everything. It was such a simple o ring that took me 10 seconds to put back on like wtf

Me and my 3 buddies just all bought this gun they all are coming February 5th and we are so excited ima show them this video to hype them up!
How did it hold up?
@brodude8641 Honestly 0 complaints with the rifle itself it's as flawless and as beautiful as they made it seem. The way it shoots is simply awesome and the recoil from the gas and bolt is definitely something awesome, aswell as very easy to maintain. The only issue I do have with it isn't even an issue with the gun but the magazine itself 1. Low bb compaccity 2. The mags are really expensive $70 a piece and are very hard to find in most cases but can be found.
@@DuhItzKaiyo that’s awesome. How’s the range and accuracy ootb?
@brodude8641 I've only field tested it once but It shoots really straight out of the box and I'm able to hit target from 70 feet with almost pinpoint accuracy I have not gotten the chance to shoot further than 70 feet
@@DuhItzKaiyo what mags pal? I can't find them anywhere

I saw one of these at my local Scheels and it felt like the real thing. I own a couple Daniel Defense ar 15s and I could hardly tell a difference 😂. Theyre full metal/aluminim and built like real ar 15s.
Just bought one of these bad boys today, absolutly love it! Thx for a solid review 🙌🏽
I have a question for you. Can you remove the orange from the barrel? I want to buy one. I would appreciate your answer.

Can you do a video on how to properly clean lube these beautiful replicas?
1:53 "a real daniel defense replica rail" has the same vibe as "fully semi automatic"
Gas blowbacks are just too much fun, for me it much outweighs the cons of not having high capacity or high firerate. Airsoft is about fun anyway.
I personally only use my AEG for wall art because I prefer having blowback and realism. Yeah I do have to reload my mags a lot and I cannot spray and pray like those AEG users but in my opinion the blowback and realistic operation is worth it.
You have fun with airsoft when it's convenient. I have fun with airsoft when it's a simulation. We are not the same.

I have a Tokyo Marui MTR GBBR. Objectively speaking which is a better build, the Tokyo Marui MK18 or this on? Note: I already have 5 mags for my TM MTR GBBR. Is it worth it to buy this brand MK18 or should I just get the Tokyo Marui version?
Just bought this gun and the mag it came with was a leak.. bought two brand new mags and I only get 5 shots out of both of them and it goes empty, I been holding the gas for 20 seconds and it still goes empty fast. The internals are fine.. I dont know what else could be wrong but I’m stuck with this gun now…

Restock mod1 pls!
Mine came with different mag and no mag loader idk seems different then what is in this video still a decent rifle but def needs a few upgrades to be competitive. Also the mag it game with is a little meh
why would you go with king arms as the OEM ? why not WE, VFC or a MSW compatible system ?
Also "real replica" it's a nice phrase.
This gun is not all the hype when i got mine my rail wasnt secured properly and even after adjusting hopup and changing bb weight it still cant even shoot 50 ft without falling on its face. Would be a nice gun but performance is minimal.
can u do a “KWA EVE 4” review 🙏🙏
Why do airsoft companies find it so hard to make the rail the right color?
To avoid copyright/patent issues
@@sierracosta47 This is a licensed product.
@@sierracosta47 it’s literally licensed by DD
@@Deuces0810 probably 3rd party manufacturering causes an issue on their end probably, I dunno. Clearly if they made the mistake so many times, it might be intentional due to an underlying issue. If not then complain about it I guess.
Actual DD rails are tan anodized. The colour varies because of the process, so there is no true “right colour” for the RIS II rail. Don’t worry about minutiae like the colour of your toy gat and just have fun.
Only gripe I have with this gun is that the mags are not fun to fill and the better kings arms mags aren’t available
Does this rifle compatible with vfc mag ?
new to the sport, and been wanting to get his gun, but damn its hard to get its always out of damn stock lol.
It's on tawain gun for 300
Does it come with a npas on it?
What is he gas system based one? WA, WE, or King ARMS?
its a wa system just manufactured by ka.

Airsoft will never be as realistic as it can be without shell ejecting replicas
Then get a real firearm.
@@grandtheftavocado that's gonna go well shooting around the house or at an airsoft field
@@KBoon there are very few but some shell ejecting M4's in airsoft, but they arent as effective for obvious reasons and also if yuou want to use them in a game you need to either have a massive budget or constantly run a brass catcher on your rifle. the reason not many exist is because... they suck for practical reasons, they are just too expensive and to top it off dumb governemnts with zero knowlege then think it can easily be converted to real firearms, which it cant.
all im saying is, yes they exist but they suck because its just not practical... and im aware people dont use GBB's for practicality but even still you would not believe how much pain it would be to have to scour a field for ever round you shot to make sure youre not spending an extra like 100 pounds per day.
its bad enough dealing with a shell ejecting revolver... and people that have the shell ejecting AR's all keep them as display pieces 90%of the time. would it be fun? im sure occasionally, but from a company perspective its just not worth the effort for a system nobody would buy, thats all im saying.
They exist and they really aren’t that great excluding plinking
@@opairsoft8100 there aren't nearly enough options and the ones that do exist are way too rare and/or expensive. Would be nice if EF gets into it with shell ejecting Glocks the magazine capacity may need to be reduced to leave a big enough gas reservoir and also shells need to be biodegradable and cheap plastic with maybe premium metal shells as optional.

Common dude, can't hit a nice group shooting on a Human Torso on 30 meters/ 100 feet? Reallly? What is this?...... it's a joke of an Airsoft GBBR.
If in 2022, with all the tehnology, it can't be made an acceptable GBBR, then let's delete that option from Airsoft...

@@takodamoto I mean, he did say in the video that he was using .20s for his firing demos. And honestly, trying to hit anything with .20s is a pain in the dick, hence why most recommend a hop up swap at the very least to be able to use heavier (and, imo, much better) bbs
@@McgillsPT exactly haha. Especially with gbbr you really want to use .30-.46. The stock hop on this rifle will hop .32s no issue. Gonna order some .36 and see how it does.
