I really hope you like it. This relationship is definitely one of the most beautiful ones, and I am so mad at the writers for writing Neil off... They deserved a happy ending and happiness. They had so much potential and so much chemistry, I really don't get it....

I remember watching one of the first episodes of the show during season one and for hardly any reason saying “Melendez and Claire should be a couple. They would be good together.” I was so thrilled when they came together as friends and created this beautiful bond that turned into a deep and meaningful friendship. Between the two, chemistry was undeniably there; how could the writers think this was right to do?
Neil and Claire’s romance was so short lived. No dates, no exploring their chemistry further than just friends and yet they had the most potential as a couple out of everyone on the show. I wish we had justice for these two. I can imagine that they became a solid couple and in a few seasons time, Melendez would have proposed. These two make sense and I’m so upset that all we were left with was “I love you” as Melendez took his final breaths instead of what should have been them saying that down the track of their relationship.

I finished watching season 3 one week ago and i am still sad, angry, heartbroken about THIS ending. The most stupid and painful ending in history of series.
How could david shore do this to the whole TGD family (including the actors)?! i definitely won‘t watch season 4. It‘s not worth it without this couple, without their true love, without this outstanding actor! i love the way he was turning from an arrogant doctor to a person with heart. i love how they looked at each other, i love how he was helping her throug tough times. i love the way they turned from friends to lovers. i’m also disappointed that they had never kissed. Would have loved seeing them together as a couple 😭😭

when claire was crying on the stairwell and melendez came to comfort her, AAAAAA NO I CAN’T DEAL. I wasn’t expecting him of all people (idk maybe morgan) but it was everything I ever needed. AND WHEN THEY STARTED RUNNING TOGETHER AIHSFIHISFAHIFSH. Melendez was saying something like “I know one thing that makes me feel better” and I was sad because i was thought there was gonna some weird make-out scene which I thought would just ruin everything but they just went RUNNING AAAAAAAAAAA IT WAS THE MOST ADORABLE THING.
I like how they made the relationship more wholesome, romantic and just REAL as opposed to Melendez and Lim and who were a bit too sexual and competitive (still 100% shipped, a good couple).
I was just super sad because this felt like an actual relationship without all the fighting and arguing and i could just see them playing out to be a really good couple.
I also feel like both of them get into relationships a bit too fast but this was one that was based on a friendship and blossomed into a romance which just made it more authentic.
WHY DID THEY KILL HIMMMMMMMMM
- If they did bring him back it woulda been a bit stupid, the show is about a hospital and is supposed to be super realistic. If he got sick to a point with no treatment they can’t just ‘treat him’.
- Killing him off was also kinda like a smart decision from the writers as it was like ‘no he isn’t gonna die they can’t kill him’ and then oop they actually killed him. Great twist. Still shattered me.
I completed season 3 a week before.... I was heartbroken, devastated when he died... I wept for two days, this show has made an impact in my life that no real person son can ever do....this show also shows the daily struggles of being a doctor........a struggle of a women being a friend with a mentor.....a daily struggle of an autistic person.......a women being a doctor.....this show the best show ever thank you to the good doctor & co.
we need melendez in the next season, without melendez the good doctor will not be the same, and the ratings will fall a lot during the season 4.

You know how you just move on from shows, the emotions the characters made you feel while you were watching. It's been a few months since I stopped watching the good doctor, until season 3. And I'm still crying. You know there are sometimes some very VERY well written characters and when they come together it's like all the hope and love and goodness in the world is bursting through the screen we're watching them in. Very few tho. These two are just like that.
I’m so upset about him dying in the show. I was really looking forward to their relationship blossoming.
I just received the notification and here I am. I'm crying a lot. Neil did not deserve this, let alone Claire. She's been through so much. This video is wonderful and now I just know how to cry. They deserved better, they deserved more time. And I just wanted this to be a dream. I never cried so much for a character. Thank you for this video! It is impossible not to cry. Every time I watch this video, I cry more. :(

My whole heart was into shipping these two and the s3 ending shattered me. I will never forgive the writers for firing the actor. I will just imagine they got together and moved to Guatemala to work together. I ain't accepting any other ending. They are as beautifully sincere as a couple could possibly be. My heart 😭❤️

This is a marvelous tribute to Melendaire. I really can't get over Melendez's death, it was so rushed and unnecessary. I feel robbed of one of the greatest love stories of all time. They would have been epic together. But the writers just like Claire in constant mourning, they have definitely thrown too much shit at this character. I can't blame Antonia Thomas for leaving the show. I've heard the show ratings hit unexpected lows in season 4. That serves the writers just right.
As for myself, I don't think I'll watch season 4 when it will be put on Netflix...I'm really not into Leah&Shaun's toxic relationship (plus they have no chemistry in my eyes) and I don't like the direction the show is headed.
100% agree with u!! The show is getting what it deserves..I haven't watched season 4 either and i'm not planning on it! Did they think it was cool to kill a character like Melendez???? Cuz it clearly ruined the show.
I guess they did so because the show was not enough focused on Shaun! BUT they had to think about that way before highlighting him.

@@frelsi6061 I also think that Melendez was killed off because Melendaire literally stole the spotlight from the main character and his (pretty annoying) love and sex life. Without kissing, with those looks they gave each other, they had more chemistry than any other couple on the show.
I also think that Melendez's death was handled in a terrible way. The writers could have done that with some grace and respect...as a prominent character, he should have got at least more screen time to say his team, family and Claire goodbye. I mean, the whole episode should have been about him! Certainly the actor didn't deserve to have his death scene be interrupted by Shaun&Leah's cheesy love declaration. That really got on my nerves. I mean, were we supposed to be happy for them? Yeah, Shore really ruined it for us all.
But your Melendaire video is still brilliant. I think it is one of the best out there and there are a lot of them :-)

I actually think Melendez & Claire were a better match than Shaun & Leah from season 1. Sorry to say that but Shaun and Leah have the chemistry of two cousins having sex and they are a very toxic ship. I still see Shaun with that baseball bat in his hand threatening to smash her car and yelling at her. I mean, THAT is the relationship who is supposed to be endgame in the writers'mind?
