I was setting up our karaoke equipment in the living room last weekend and UA-cam was playing Merle Haggard. The TV was on auto play and next came Ben Haggard singing for a group of people. The wife said Ben sounds just like Merle. I stopped hooking up the cords and we sat there and watched him sing, wife, kids and all of us in the living room. I don’t follow today’s country music, I am sort of stuck in the past. Ben Haggard has real talent. Great country voice.

I said, David Frizzell!! He said, Brenda!! Hadn't seen him in awhile. His wife was very gracious and stepped out of the way so David and I could chat privately. I grew up in England so don't know much about Country Music only what I listened to as a child. Faron Young, Marty Robbins, Buck Owens... etc Ben has such a Pure Country tone. This is how Country Music should sound. Not the strange pop fusion we are getting today. But hey, what do I know?
