Thank you for sharing with us Gerald, I could relate to a lot of your story...I’m glad that you were able to recognize for yourself that you needed to go back to your roots to ‘ground’ yourself, to take all of the time that was necessary while you were building a stronger foundation by dealing with all of that awful dark stuff that keeps us sick & oppressed when we “numb out” with either alcohol and/or drugs to try & forget the pain!! Its amazing how you avoided going down that rabbit hole while you were living your dream lifestyle in Hollywood - something nudged you to head back home to Fort Saskatchewan to deal with your excess baggage, to seek the guidance from your family & evaluate not only what you needed in your life but how you could better serve your community, is inspiring...your definitely a role model in your #fightforTruthandReconciliation

Gerald Auger, the gov't took me with my twin sister from my biological family and my tribe at weeks old. Then adopted me to a Catholic couple. From that day forward I was experimented on by a Jesuit working with a private research facility doing black projects for the gov't. They tortured me among other things. To this day I am not allowed to reconnect with my biological family and my tribe refuses me if they can't find my people on their rolls. My tribe is still existing in Perry County, Ohio and I've seen them many times growing up. The recognized segments of my tribe demand seeing my family names on their rolls. I can't locate my biological family in Perry County due to racism over there. I've suffered for decades as have my children and still not even the recognized parts of the tribe will take me back or hear me. Some days I don't want to live anymore it hurts so badly. I've tried my best to learn my ethnic heritage but it's all written by whites and my tribe don't want to disclose the deeper things I really need to know in order to heal. I feel most days why go on, why keep going? You have what tens of thousands of native american indian kids taken during the big scoup eras are experiencing and have experienced all our lives so why aren't our tribes helping us?? White society only meant to enslave us and turn us into whites and yet our blood cries out that we are native american indian and our tribe does not even see us or recognize our great suffering! How could our tribes be so utterly heartless to abandon us all? If you can help this in any way I'd welcome it. Each time I have gone to the state to get my records which are open by state law, this old supervisor yells "Tecumseh"! Yes, many have told me I am a direct descendant of him. They told me I must pay for what he did to whites when I was 3 years old! They've hurt me and my kids all our lives and kept us from our own people and our own people seem more than happy to hurt us in return doing the same to us as whites do! To them we don't even exist so why should be bother to continue to exist at all? Tell me that wont' you? I don't understand them or their actions towards their own blood relations.
