    Beautiful model. The motor sounds like a rabid dog, but still pulled this like it wasn't there.....once that engine is tuned correctly and run-in a bit more, it will be the perfect combination. It leaps off the ground now, how is going to go with 20-30% MORE power..?? Looks great in the air too, but it looked a little twitchy when landing, one to keep a close eye on at low speed.

      Only go it at the boarder where each person has to go into quarantine for 14 days then have to have a negative before entering the rest of NZ. Yes they are well aware of what is going on overseas so are making sure NZ is prepared just in case someone slips through.

    I think the problem (if you want to see any problem at all, the model and engine looks fine for me) is that the engine seems new and not adjusted perfectly yet and the prop 22x8 is for a warbird not the optimum. I would use 22x10 APC or grp or wood 22x10, maybe smaller? Need to investigate what the DLE 55 with stock muffler is able to turn. At the moment I build the (old one) Phoenix Corsair 60cc - if anyone has some experience, I would be happy to get some info upfront maiden (:

  • @Bitdog4U

    What if, a DLE60 header pipes went down and then back to mount the tail elevator & rudder. The two biplane wings made out of Sitka spruce beams covered in urethane foam and visqueen were mounted on those pipes also. The headers pipes also held the engine that had a low carb facing forward as an air scoop and the crank had a 2 blade prop on front and one on the rear 90 degrees difference. The mortar bomb and $40 cellphone brains were mounted below the lower wing and thousands of them were sent to Ukraine, with a note attached. You write the cell phone app that controls the plane & you write the ONline game so kids around the world can blow up Russian tanks for fun. Of course you would have to sell the monthly gun camera DVD to pay for it all. But that goes without saying, as does the T-shirt sales, hero of the month rewards, etc. No invading army would stand a chance after that. I would consider a design where the tail elevator and the upper wing were the same height when flying level. The motor slightly above the upper wing so the drive shaft for the rear prop went all the way behind the tail which had the rudder going down with a skid rod on the bottom, sticking down & back. That way when turning, the rudder would bank the plane in the right direction & keep the rear prop out of the dirt on the ground. The wings tilted up to take off or fly down instead of using elevators with flaps. Then I would mount the wings on a flat tilt plate made of plastic in the shape of a pink pig (When viewed from the side). Because my dad always said after I bit the dog, "Bitdog, you can end all wars when pigs can fly". .It's because not I'm a dyslexic 8.3 asm.animal
    PS, I would burn used veggie oil in a blower burner to melt outboard motors and car tyranny's from the garbage dump for the aluminum and make boxer 100cc motors with a magneto for $100 so the whole bomb delivery system cost $200 total and it would cost thousands to shoot it down. Lower manufacturing cost is how wars are won. Once you build one and show it off, you'll have a buyer call you. Probably for a fentanyal delivery system. I mean, if you need some fast, who ya gonna call? Believe it or nut.
    Sincerely Bitdog4u

      @allanwilkerson6426 4 роки тому +2

      @ James Warren. That's probably the correct prop for that engine...not necessarily for the plane. A 3 blade or a 4 blade would be correct for the plane...I agree. But...when it's running...it's near impossible to tell anyway. It flies, he's having fun, he's happy with it. Fly it and have fun.
