@@hotwax9376 yes, but the problem is that they remade it shot-by-shot. If they had made different shots than the original, and putting David Fincher or David Lynch in the director's chair, it would be decent.

No its because they know it will make money and easily garner interest because people are already invested in it it's a business do you know how many original movie ideas don't get picked up or get released independently but the number one reason is the consumers who always want more movies from their favourite franchises or for movie studios to keep making the type of films they like.
The original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" is a classic and it's great, but the 2003 remake is waaaay better for me, one of the best slashers ever! I think the useless remake/sequel is the 2013 "Texas Chainsaw 3D", it sucked.
Umm Charlie and the chocolate factory, was actually amazing, and it shouldn’t be on this list. Ronald Dahl (author of the book) actually hated the original. And the newer version is more true to the book than the original.
Why all the drama about the differing tastes of chocolate. People who grew up in the 70's loved Willie Wonka. Absolutely a smash hit. If someone enjoys it, let them .

Yep, there was. I didn't know about it till after I watched the original on Netflix and people in the review section mentioned about how they hated the remake.
Wtf?The new Chocolate factory movie was so amazing!! Tbh when I first watched the new version, I didn't even know there was another old version. I just love this movie, it's one of my favorite movies ever.Johnny Depp did a great job and I personally loved the special effects and the humor. Dark Wolf i basically liked everything about it except the characterisation of Willy Wonka. It updates it well, and faults of the first movie were corrected (both visuals and dialogue follow the book). But in the book Willy Wonka is a likeable character with a bit of mystery about him, with some questions left unanswered. IMO, the second film made him awkwardly unlikeable, and took the mystery away by adding a backstory.
And also The Karate Kid (or the Kung-Fu Kid, seriously _why_ not call it that? It's confusing), even if I didn't hate it. The other reboots (Footloose, Point Break, Annie, Psycho, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Poltergeist, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Planet of the Apes) were pretty terrible and I hated those.
You know who asked for a Willy Wonka remake? Charlie and the Chocolate Factory author Roald Dahl. He HATED the original movie. The studio bought his script and the movie rights, then rewrote just about everything and added a bunch of stuff without his permission. The fact that Tim Burton got Dahl's family's approval during production legitimizes its existence.
This. While the original Gene Wilder film is massively popular to this day and widely considered a classic (and many would say that Johnny Depp's Wonka isn't as good as Gene's), the fact is that there are enough differences in story, characters, and the like to justify the existence of both films.
I actually really like the 2005 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Like the Speed Racer film and such, it holds a special place in my heart because it was a massive part of my childhood
I, along with a few million others who loved the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory from the early 1970's , was sad to see they even bothered to attempt a remake on something so well made that it will be remembered for several generations to come.
Listen, bucko. I assume you know this by now, but the 2005 movie was NOT a remake of the old 1971 film. It was simply another adaptation of the book, and had nothing to do with the previous adaptation. Don't be all sad, irritated, or offended by it.
@@ethanhart129 Indeed. Hopefully this adaptation will also become a cult classic amongst the general public someday, which it seems to already be doing as we speak.
I loved the remake of Charlie and the chocolate factory, and thought that Johnny Depp was perfect for the roll of Willy wonka. Honestly for me I like the idea of him being creepy
Footloose definetily deserves to be on this list. The remake was just awful. I'm a Freshman in High School, and it just disgusts me to see that more kids have seen the 2011 version rather than the obviously superior 1984 version
The Ultimate Reductionist when that shit was announced my brother said it was going to be a good movie, I told him it was going to be bad...he didn't believe me till the day it came out
It's not that they're afraid. It's probably because they want to forget about it which, to me , is the most sensible thing to do. I've never seen a movie cause so much shit in my entire life and all I want is for people to move on and never talk about it again.
After all the wrath that came up after the clash between Milo Yannopoulos and Leslie Jones as well as all the crying from feminists over the fact the remake was utter garbage, I can understand why some are so afraid of telling this true. The Ghostbusters is and will always be a male-heroes kind of movie. The feeble attempt to make that cancerous feminist version of a male movie was a waste of time, money and energy, no matter how desperately Rotten Tomatoes tries to make us buy that junk with overall exaggerated positive reviews.
Thank GOD you put Psycho at number one. Psycho is my favorite movie of all time. That Vince Vaughn shit show is the cringiest thing that has ever existed.
The 1998 remake is a disaster-piece. I just hope Season 5 of "Bates Motel" ends up being a better remake to Alfred Hitchcock's masterpiece than that film.
Many of the remakes are made to appeal to the politically correct brigade on one hand (hence acknowledged red haired characters are now African American) or to dumb them down for younger audiences with the attention span of a gnat.
I also noticed that not only did they make Annie and Daddy Warbucks African American in the remake they also put them in more moden times. In the original the story took place during The Great Depression.
Vince The Menace There was never a good F4 to begin with, if anything a reboot was neccesary, just not one so bad, and Amazing Spider-Man was a premature reboot trying to do what Batman and Avengers did but failed spectaculary.
Valerie Glasgow read the book first then come back to me. The 2005 remake was approved by the author's family seeing as it followed more closely than the '71 version. Hell, Ronald Dahl said he hated it cuz it strayed far away from the source material. If he were alive today, I bet this remake would've left him dying happily
The Prime Sloth Consensus is that it's a genuinely good movie. I personally like it and I feel the changes that were made actually add something of value instead of just padding out the story or rehashing the original.
I haven't seen the 1998 Psycho but the tv show Bates Motel was fantastic! I watched the tv show before I watched the movie for the first time and I'm glad I watched it in that order
It is good, Depp is a great actor, but Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was so much more than Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! The Charlie actor is so much better in the original than on the new one, and his personality is more real, not the perfect angel. Gene Wilder was really weird as Wonka. He portrayed him really weird. His motives and why he does what he does is a mystery to that film, something that is explained in Charlie. Yet, I still prefer Wilder over Depp. And Oompa Loompas and the songs I prefer the old ones. The kids are portrayed fine on both films, except Charlie in the new one.
Wilder's performance is much more whimsical in spite of Depp's putting so much effort into trying to be whimsical, but much more often comes off as.....yes, creepy. One thing about Burton/Depp: they DO try hard.
I VERY much prefer the J.Depp version, as well, and I was a big fan of the original when I was young, but now I can't even stand to watch the Wilder version.
The new guy sounds like he just awoke from a coma. They need to quickly go back to the original dude that was at the end of this video, I actually remembered I was alive at that point.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is actually apparently closer to the book. So the author may have actually liked it better. I also agree if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I really hated willy wonka (original) when the new one came out I was actually in love with it. So for me Charlie and the Chocolate Factory took my heart.
The Planet of the Apes books kind of explain the ending of the 2001 version. Basically, it is a series of parallel realities with apes and humans all at some levels. I'm sure that is where Burton got the idea and it was probably meant to be addressed in a sequel that ended up not happening. Actually, Burton claims that the ending is just nonsense that he can't explain but that is probably just because he is sick of talking about it.
"The danger must be growing for the rowers keep on rowing, and they're certainly not showing any sign that they are slowing...AAAAHHHHHHHHH" Thank you Gene Wilder. That sequence scared the heck out of me when I was little!
I still like the older version of willy wonka and the chocolate factory gene wilder was my favourite willy wonka I just didn't get into the newer version with Johnny depth
YES!!!! I mean I loved the new one, but the original movie basically screwed with anyone who wasn't Gene Wilder. (RIP) Remember that scary boat scene? Well, all the actors had their lines, but they had no absolute idea about the boat ride. When Gene Wilder started singing and the boat went faster, they had no idea what was happening. The terror was real. Also, nobody got to meet Gene beforehand, so when he first came out of the factory and started to fall, they were genuinely concerned. Same with the candy room. The one with the chocolate lake and candy grass. Nobody but Gene had seen it before.... That's what made that movie so amazing
Charlie and the chocolate factory remake is my fav movie! Johnny Deep was my Wonka, and now I'm playing him with Johnny in my heart! Sorry I just had to say.
Spy2451 well what movie did you watch first? If it was the first one then naturally that's the one you will like the most, but the Tim burton one is the first one I watched. It's kind of like doctor who, the 10th doctor is my favourite because he was the first one I watched, where as my mums favourite is Tom baker (4th) because that was the first one she watched.
An interesting point, but some movies should really be left alone, especially classics. I've seen Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory on TV at least once or twice a year. So, if no one knew about it they must have missed when it was on TV.
I never knew of the original till I came home from school one day explaining to my parents the movie I watched called Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and then they told me it was a remake of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
The Willy Wonka remake was amazing, and to answer your question, YES Dahl would've loved it. His stories (just like Tim Burton's) had endings non of us could predict. The darkness in both writer and director was almost the same. Absolutely amazing.
I heard that theyre making a Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory prequel. What would they call it? "Wonka, Willy, Willy Wonka and the Rise of the Chocolate Factory or Rise of the Chocolate Factory"?
Nobody asked for: An all girls Ghostbusters remake, a TV remake of Scream, a remake of The Thing, a remake of Robocop, a remake of Fantastic Four with teenage whitewashing and bad casting, a remake of a New Hope and an all girls Ocean's Eleven
Yeah, like he said, it's not necessarily that they're bad movies, but really didn't do enough to really justify the remake. It's like, Scarface, the Thing, Little Shop of Horrors, remakes like this really set themselves apart from the originals. But the remakes on this list are barely different movies (especially in Psycho's case), so you might as well just watch the better version (vastly superior in Psycho's case)..
They care about Indians even less with whiteface Tonto. Well at least Tonto finally had a disguise. One episode of TV show was terrible Tonto disguised as an Irishman and Lone Ranger disguised as a Mexican while still wearing his mask, Political correctness existed even back then I guess. Would have made more sense for Lone Ranger to be disguised as Irishman and Tonto a Mexican.
A former co-worker had a good rule for what makes for a good possible remake: the original movie (like all the ones you mentioned) ought to be regarded as a "missed opportunity." If you remake a Great Movie, then that's pointless. Instead, find something that could have been great, and do it better. There are a few fantastic remakes that break that rule, but they are very very few.
A lot of people actually wanted another ghostbuster movie.. and a better Fantastic 4 from Tim Story. Angrynerd actually explained how much fans has asked for another ghostbuster movie for years. Also the title is the top 10 movies NO ONE asked for, not worst remake.

MsPaintAnimatoR XL I never said it was bad,I said just because something is more similar to the book, doesn't make it the BEST,take The Shining for example, it isn't that similar to the book, but its still good...
H4XX0R it isn't more similar to the book, the book doesn't portray Wonka as a pathetic man child with daddy issues, also the songs in 2005 were all terrible while the 1971 songs were classic

Jonathan Male I am perhaps late on this reply but the truth is that many people actually wanted and expected a remake of The Fantastic 4, most especially after the Avengers movie. The new one didn't deliver though, so people are still looking for a better remake. :)
Those of us who love the original Fright Night are quite disappointed that the remake isn't a part your list because the title of this video is "Top 10 Reboots and Remakes 'That Nobody Asked For' ". We really don't give a damned how well critically received 2011's remake may have been, did anyone ask for it? Hell no! In spite of critics gushing over it, this film never found an audience and went quickly to basic cable and has now virtually disappeared. The original was a wonderful spoof for those of us who loved the horror movie shows and hosts of the 70's, 80's, early 90's. Remaking beloved Roddy McDowell's whimsical Peter Vincent as a stage magician: yuck! The late (sadly) Anton Yelchin was an excellent young "character actor", but have you ever seen a more convincing or perfect frighten teenager (especially to a comic effect) than William Ragsdale? It does *NOT* matter if the end result was a pretty good/decent film-it was and is a totally unwanted and unnecessary remake.
I liked the new Annie... And in the new Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Willy Wonka was SUPPOSED to be childish, it was to bring more life to Wonka, since he could never true, BE a child.
Cool story . We watched the Annie reboot in school and to me was like torture. It was so cringe annoying and had a song like every 5 seconds. I felt like I dying from cringe than watch a terrible reboot.
Greg Sloan don't pull that shit with me. It didn't matter if it made money. No one asked for it, internet critics have become pussies to speak their negative opinions on it. Say something bad your suddenly sexist. Just because something made a lot of money doesn't mean the movie, game or whatever is any good.

This. While the original Gene Wilder film is massively popular to this day and widely considered a classic (and many would say that Johnny Depp's Wonka isn't as good as Gene's), the fact is that there are enough differences in story, characters, and the like to justify the existence of both films.

I bet you think "Wonder Woman" was virtue signalling by having a female lead in that.
Wonder woman is a woman. Ghostbusters are men
Nate F it doesn’t matter what gender they are, when there is a good story to be told and no political agenda behind it
I actually really like the 2005 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
@@margogoralski6294 Not only that, but younger generations seem to widely prefer the Burton film
@@ethanhart129 Indeed. Hopefully this adaptation will also become a cult classic amongst the general public someday, which it seems to already be doing as we speak.
i know a reboot that wil destroy the whole world
LORD OF THE RINGS
HARRY POTTER
STAR WARS
Theramchepser TRUUE
Star Wars was already rebooted.
Theramchepser what a nightmare!
The Prequels already destroyed star wars
Theramchepser YAH
I liked both remakes of the willy wonka
What about Carrie (2013)? I mean i liked the 2013 Carrie but no one asked for it.
Mario Poops No one really asks for remakes we just get them
I never watch the originals.
I only watch them if they have actors who still do movies nowadays.
I would also add Carie to this list. It has anctually been remad twice.
I LOVE CARRIE 2013! There was actually more details to how some of those people died, like Chris Hargensen
I've only seen carrie 2013 and its dope, I dont know if I'd wanna watch an older one
I loved the remake of Charlie and the chocolate factory, and thought that Johnny Depp was perfect for the roll of Willy wonka. Honestly for me I like the idea of him being creepy
You better leave Charlie and the Chocolate Factory alone. That movie was GREAT!
Jennis Davis Thank U .The old movie had a sweetness that the new movie didnt.
Jennis Davis Yup. The “reboot” was more like the book than the “original”.
Was terrible
I loved the reboot more. Had less singing and gave more depth into Willy Wonka's character
I loved the reboot but i didnt saw the original so yeah...
Footloose definetily deserves to be on this list. The remake was just awful. I'm a Freshman in High School, and it just disgusts me to see that more kids have seen the 2011 version rather than the obviously superior 1984 version
That's when you know Hollywood has run out of ideas when they start remaking everything.
Yeah 2019 -202x we got lots of remakes and reboots no-one ask for
Reminds me of a certain company that has a mouse as their mascot
Hmmmmmmmm coincidence?
*Pauses video before playing*
I SWEAR to god if that fantastic four movie isn't on here
Shadow_ Girl but which one!?!
Naad Spap 2015
Shadow_ Girl ahhh
Oh shit. I forgot about that one. THANKS for reminding me. I mean, NO thanks!
The Ultimate Reductionist when that shit was announced my brother said it was going to be a good movie, I told him it was going to be bad...he didn't believe me till the day it came out
So I guess yr still afraid to put Ghostbusters at No 1 huh?
Blake Kaveny *You're. And why are you telling us who you voted for?
It's not that they're afraid. It's probably because they want to forget about it which, to me , is the most sensible thing to do.
I've never seen a movie cause so much shit in my entire life and all I want is for people to move on and never talk about it again.
LoneRebelX IKR
After all the wrath that came up after the clash between Milo Yannopoulos and Leslie Jones as well as all the crying from feminists over the fact the remake was utter garbage, I can understand why some are so afraid of telling this true. The Ghostbusters is and will always be a male-heroes kind of movie. The feeble attempt to make that cancerous feminist version of a male movie was a waste of time, money and energy, no matter how desperately Rotten Tomatoes tries to make us buy that junk with overall exaggerated positive reviews.
Matheus G. S. Your pretty upset over a stupid movie
Thank GOD you put Psycho at number one. Psycho is my favorite movie of all time. That Vince Vaughn shit show is the cringiest thing that has ever existed.
The 1998 remake is a disaster-piece. I just hope Season 5 of "Bates Motel" ends up being a better remake to Alfred Hitchcock's masterpiece than that film.
super pumped for season 5 of bates motel. The ending of season 4 was damn good.
Kind of like if someone tried to remake Citizen Kane.
Sorry but I thought Vince Vaughn was good as Norman Bates. He was creepy.
gemery101 Yeah, he's probably the only good thing about the remake
Many of the remakes are made to appeal to the politically correct brigade on one hand (hence acknowledged red haired characters are now African American) or to dumb them down for younger audiences with the attention span of a gnat.
this is like what they're doing to ariel in the live action little mermaid, sad really..
I also noticed that not only did they make Annie and Daddy Warbucks African American in the remake they also put them in more moden times. In the original the story took place during The Great Depression.
That's a sure fire way to ensure it shits the bed
@@melissacooper4282 yeah Woking it up. Thay will guarantee it tanks
Seriously no ghostbusters,it is literally the most hated reboot ever made...you had one job MoJo
Cry about it.
Did you expect them to not redo spider-man? They won't stop th-They'll never stop
Did you Seriously Add Amazing Spider-Man But Not Fant4stick?!?! SERIOUSLY?!?
Vince The Menace That fantastic 4 reboot was garbage. It should be on this list.
cybertek3188 Exactly
Vince The Menace There was never a good F4 to begin with, if anything a reboot was neccesary, just not one so bad, and Amazing Spider-Man was a premature reboot trying to do what Batman and Avengers did but failed spectaculary.
Yes I loved the original Fantastic Four the remake was garbage
Partly the reason why fox is selling it to disney. They are basically giving up on f4 and xmen.
Ghostbusters should have been on this list!
I actually liked the female version
Omg yes the new one is just so bad 😂
Noah Schnapp's wife then don’t watch it. Simple
@@faithkidwell9757 whats your problem im just telling the truth
Noah Schnapp's wife okay. Tell it some where else
I can not watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The original, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is #1 in book.
Not gonna lie, I actually liked Karate Kid.
Yes! The original two were fucking awesome!
Yeah they were but we know the third one was shit.
The Prime Sloth Consensus is that it's a genuinely good movie. I personally like it and I feel the changes that were made actually add something of value instead of just padding out the story or rehashing the original.
The Next Karate Kid is what was shit, the trilogy was great.
me too
You are right about the remake of psycho.
I haven't seen the 1998 Psycho but the tv show Bates Motel was fantastic! I watched the tv show before I watched the movie for the first time and I'm glad I watched it in that order
I saw five minutes of the remake and I thought it was a joke
I put the 'hot' in psychotic damn right, neither that remake or Bates Motel can touch that masterpiece.
It's hard to determine who's the worst actor, Johnny Depp or Vince Vaughn.
In the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory book, the Oompa Loompas were described like the ones in the 2005 remake.
Automatic dislike for adding my favorite remake: Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. ONE MORE DISLIKE FROM ME AND I'M UNSUBBING.
Unsubscribe like a sarcastic bitch!
Were you asking for a reboot of it though?
Robyn Wolph they said that the remakes on the list doesn't have to be necessarily bad it's just that no one asked for the remake you dumb fuck
I prefer Burton's version too.
Robyn Wolph that ones the most gruesome
I love charlie and the chocolate factory!
chummy70
Same, Johnny Depp is perfect for that role XD
Until now, i didn't know original version of Charlie and chocolate factory, i only saw the remake twice
I VERY much prefer the J.Depp version, as well, and I was a big fan of the original when I was young, but now I can't even stand to watch the Wilder version.
whoever did the voice over for this video really truly sucks, what happened to the regular narrators?
Tyler Hammock he sounds boring asf
Blake Kaveny he sounds like shit
I was just thinking the same thing! This guy's voice sucks.
The new guy sounds like he just awoke from a coma. They need to quickly go back to the original dude that was at the end of this video, I actually remembered I was alive at that point.
Tyler Hammock I think he had a good voice just needed more emotion.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Depp is brilliant. Hard to imagine that the old one could be better.
Charlie and the chocolate factory was AMAZING and WAY better than the original
Andries Velten both sucked
No it's not.
I personally don't think it's as good as the original BUT it was a GOOD.
the original was amazing the remake was trash noone can hold up to gene wilders acting
Andries Velten Agree
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is actually apparently closer to the book. So the author may have actually liked it better. I also agree if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Eh i don't think it was close enough...it needed to be much darker.
Personally the remake of IT was amazing I love it because it was super scary and kind of funny without being a comedy and was just awesome
But I love Charlie and the chocolate factory remake ..
I really hated willy wonka (original) when the new one came out I was actually in love with it. So for me Charlie and the Chocolate Factory took my heart.
You will hate because new generation people are like this only.
Planet of the Apes (2001)Made me scratch my head real hard with that ending. Was so consfused, but it gave me the right feeling it should deliver.
Dean Natuno It was going to be explained in the sequel.
Same!
It’s Johnny DEPP :)
im a huge johnny depp fan but that movie was terrible gene wilder is willie wonka
It’s Depp not Depth lol
Corry Burton just cuz you didn’t like the movie doesn’t mean it’s terrible idiot and stop hating
Charlie and the chocolate factory remake is my fav movie! Johnny Deep was my Wonka, and now I'm playing him with Johnny in my heart! Sorry I just had to say.
Mikasa Ackerman same!
Sylvie Turner I disagree entirely
Spy2451 well what movie did you watch first? If it was the first one then naturally that's the one you will like the most, but the Tim burton one is the first one I watched. It's kind of like doctor who, the 10th doctor is my favourite because he was the first one I watched, where as my mums favourite is Tom baker (4th) because that was the first one she watched.
Sylvie Turner we are very similar im 13 right now and I grew up with different things than the ogs
I have watched both but I like the 2005 better due to it staying true to the source material
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is not a remake. It's a new adaption based on the book.
Nucleor Gaming The general public won't know the difference or care. If it was a movie before, it's usually considered a remake.
I loved the new Annie, it was my favourite version so far, and is really watchable
CHARLIE CHOCOLATE FACTORY REBOOT WAS NECESSARY CUZ NOBODY WOULDA KNOWN THEY MADE A FIRST ON UNTIL AFTER THE SECOND ONE CAME OUT
Marianne TG nope me too
Nobody? lol, if you grew up under a rock I guess that would be true.
An interesting point, but some movies should really be left alone, especially classics. I've seen Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory on TV at least once or twice a year. So, if no one knew about it they must have missed when it was on TV.
lovekai88 I never heard of it until I was 8 (the original)
I never knew of the original till I came home from school one day explaining to my parents the movie I watched called Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and then they told me it was a remake of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Psycho remake was absolutely horrible!
I thought carrie would be number 1
Sergio García I personally liked the remake
Carrie remakes are actually good.
Benjamin Cohen it was good
Benjamin Cohen it doesn't matter if you liked it or not, watchmojo made the video saying that these reboots were never asked for.
Benjamin Cohen i dont remember any1 asking for a carrie reboot :/
I love the emotion the narrator gave us through the whole video
The Willy Wonka remake was amazing, and to answer your question, YES Dahl would've loved it. His stories (just like Tim Burton's) had endings non of us could predict. The darkness in both writer and director was almost the same.
Absolutely amazing.
I heard that theyre making a Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory prequel. What would they call it? "Wonka, Willy, Willy Wonka and the Rise of the Chocolate Factory or Rise of the Chocolate Factory"?
Ryan Redinger The Phantom Mars bar.
Ryan Redinger They should just mess with everyone and turn it into a horror movie. I'd gladly spend money to watch that.
suntansuperman26 The original Chocolate Factory was a kids horror movie.
there are multiple books in the original Roald Dahl series. As I recall, they go to space and shit gets pretty weird.
No Ben Hur 2016?
Screen Ninja, let's say that there is full clips of the movie, as the DVD hasn't come out yet.
Screen Ninja I'm going through therapy over that one....!!!!
I feel like all the remakes with the main characters races changing is the reason why people hate on these movies tbh
Nobody asked for:
An all girls Ghostbusters remake, a TV remake of Scream, a remake of The Thing, a remake of Robocop, a remake of Fantastic Four with teenage whitewashing and bad casting, a remake of a New Hope and an all girls Ocean's Eleven
wiinterflowers Fantasitc Four remake was horrible! Scream remake was ok.
yeah, we are be waiting 10 years for a new star wars movie, and who gives a fuck TFA it's a new hope kinda, the movie it's freaking GOOD
by the way, the thing wasn't a remake, that was a prequel
I like karate kid 2010 is a good movie it shouldn't be in this list.
I liked it too, but if you listened carefully it was said that some of these movies weren't bad, only that there wasn't any real demand for it.
But do we really demand any remake?
I also liked it just bc of Jackie chan.
both good films
John Kohls are u deaf he said about 10 times "it doesnt necessarily mean theyre bad, just random or unnecessary"
I like Karate Kid, Footloose, and Annie...
Actually, the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is the one Road Daulhl would have loved
Really?
No Ghostbusters or Fantastic4?
Okay...
Sora Trace because of the social justice Warriors
A lot of people actually wanted another ghostbuster movie.. and a better Fantastic 4 from Tim Story. Angrynerd actually explained how much fans has asked for another ghostbuster movie for years.
Also the title is the top 10 movies NO ONE asked for, not worst remake.
Stingray ormega I am not an SJW I actually cannot stand people like that but I really enjoyed the new Ghostbusters. The women in it are funny and it was just good.
The 2009 video game had most of the original cast voicing their characters. It was a pretty solid experience.
Karate kid 2010 - A story about a kid who learns kung fu :)
supposedly Roald Dahl would like the new Charlie and the chocolate factory better because it follows the book closer, or so i've heard.
I'm just a cake well too bad he's dead now,he would've gave the remake a 10/10
Why would he like the portrayal of Wonka as a pathetic man-child with daddy issues?
@@leob4403 cause he hated the first movie and no one seems to know about it. so of course he liked the second one.
The 1971 Chocolate factory only took 40% of the original story while the 2005 version took like 70-75% of the original story.
THE HASH SLINGING SLASHER!
No ghostbusters? Seriously!? Lol
Explosion Productions sorry but nobody asked for a ghostbusters remake..which is what this video is all about
Everyone was asking for ghostbusters 3, not the extremely stupid/insulting/sexist/non-sense/cringy/not funny/not scary pile of shit they gave us with ghostbusters 2016
Ghostbusters had to be number 1 of this list, but mojo are clearly affraid of the backlash
Explosion Productions omg...i wont even answer to that! Loll
Explosion Productions youre right, it wasnt a question..but it was a very stupid comment tbh
And thats also why i didnt want to answer to it..i never thought i would have to explain that to you though! Lol
Anyway i wont be back to read your comments anymore...honestly they are completely pointless
Sorry, but dont even bother answering me, i wont read it
Bye now
your dumb, y would you need to answer a statement, y does he need to care?
lol
at least charlie and the chocolate factory 05 had the original songs and didn't change the squirrels to geese like 71 did
toothless ekans just because the remake is "similar" to the book, doesn't make it any good...
that's because the remake "IS" good...
What about Friday The 13th, Black Xmas, Silent Night, and Child's Play?

Jonathan Male I am perhaps late on this reply but the truth is that many people actually wanted and expected a remake of The Fantastic 4, most especially after the Avengers movie. The new one didn't deliver though, so people are still looking for a better remake. :)

Jonathan Male yeah
The reboot was absolute trash
TheTitanGamer basically
TTheSnirk the newer fright nights vampire is more realistic
"Vaughn, you are no Norman Bates"
Anthony Perkins is the only Norman bates
Psycho (1960) > Psycho (1998)
Psycho (1998) < Bates Motel
I liked the new Annie... And in the new Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Willy Wonka was SUPPOSED to be childish, it was to bring more life to Wonka, since he could never true, BE a child.
Michael Jackson should have played Wonka then.
I hated the Annie reboot...sorry not sorry
Cool story . We watched the Annie reboot in school and to me was like torture. It was so cringe annoying and had a song like every 5 seconds. I felt like I dying from cringe than watch a terrible reboot.
pls kill me. ;( I’m done with u all
Once again WatchMojo pusses out from mentioning Ghostbusters 2016...for fucks sakes doesn't any famous critics or whatever online have any balls?
pikminguy55
it made 229 million
Greg Sloan don't pull that shit with me. It didn't matter if it made money. No one asked for it, internet critics have become pussies to speak their negative opinions on it. Say something bad your suddenly sexist.
Just because something made a lot of money doesn't mean the movie, game or whatever is any good.
Cry more.
+Greg Sloan it underperformed. and making that amount doesn't prove anything. the country of fucking china banned it
It doesn't matter how successful or even liked the movies are. That's not what the list was about.
good reboots : star trek (2009-2013), sequel star wars, dune (2000, 2021), planet of the apes (2000)
