The filmmakers realized about halfway through filming that people would notice all the similarities between their film and Carrie, and so they threw in the bits about Rachel being distantly related to Carrie White, and her school's guidance councilor being the only survivor of Carrie's final rampage at pretty much the last minute. :/ TL:DR, "The Rage" is actually pretty good if you treat it like the standalone film it was always meant to be.

Although I don't always agree with WatchMojo, I've seen all the Nightmares multiple times, and I agree this time with them. Part 2 was the worst... not that's it's entirely all bad... but come on, first off, it's called Freddy's Revenge... why? I don't know, seeing how he doesn't get revenge on ANYONE, second, he all of a sudden can kill in the real world (the infamous pool scene,) the tension and atmosphere is just gone, it was pretty poorly cast (let's be honest,) and it wasn't really funny nor scary. Just because you don't agree with it doesn't mean it didn't happen. The original Blair Witch had a pretty clever marketing campaign that got a shitload of people to go watch a very cheaply produced movie and started the trend of found footage films. Kinda hard to claim that wasn't a cultural phenomena. Sure a ton of people actually thought it was real, but that just goes to show how smart the marketing was. Paranormal Activity tried the same stunt originally.
Blair Witch wasn't the original "found footage" movie, it just tried to cash in on something that wasn't used for a while, still not a cultural phenomenon, a badly made movie that idiots believed was real, my previous comment stands
Exorcist 2 is the worst thing in the history of sequels like what the absolute fuck were they thinking pazuzu kukumo pazuzu kukumo and jesus why was drunk richard burton investigeting the death of father merrin and not karras merrin just died by a heart attack while karras is completely dropped from the story...... oh well at least Exorcist 3 was good thanks to Brad Dourif and Jason Miller coming back as Karras
I actually saw The Fly and The fly 2 back to back a little while ago. I actually felt The Fly 2 had an interesting concept and quite a few good moments to it that just got thrown away so they could do some horror kills.
Really? Carrie: Rage 2 wasn't bad. And you know what? Alien 3 is one of the worst sequels and a film that Aliens fans hated. It should have been in here.
The Saw Franchise is the most profitable horror franchise ever created, despite the fact all the bad reviews about the sequels... As long as it makes money, Hollywood will do it.

Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael is far more worse than Resurrection because it is a confusing, frustrating, incoherent mess that shits on the Michael Myers legacy.
Here's my reaction to horror movies in a nutshell: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You guys really need to lay off some steam about Alien : Resurrection. The movie is visually stunning, has a good story, characters and OST. You guys don't like it just because it has dark humour into it. Or perhaps because it's a European director who made it. Take your peak...
PB-Trinity shut up. I hate it because the tone is changed again and it sucks, Ellen Ripley barely resembles herself, there’s goofy characters and bad CGI, and there is way too much inappropriate face touching in this film
@@warfare1101 The one that ruined her was 3. It was like they were trying to destroy the legacy and undo all the great things about the previous films. They killed off Newt in the opening scene.

I'm sure someone has said this already, but if you want a really great UA-cam episode detailing the disaster that became Book of Shadows, check out good bad flicks. I'm surprised Halloween 3 wasn't on here thst movie was complete garbage at least Resurrection had Michael Myers in it unlike Halloween 3 season of the witch
Peyton Sawyer I remember when I was in HS watching Halloween 3 I had to press the info button on the remote to see if I was actually watching Halloween.
Peyton Sawyer Also the Halloween franchise was meant to be about various scary events that happen on Halloween but because Halloween 3 flopped so bad they went back to only the Michael Myers storylines.

It might not be a popular opinion but you know what I love “A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2” ... is not as good as the original and part 3 (by no means) but I truly think part 2 is one the best sequels in the franchise ... Freddy was still scary and not the clown that we would be introduced on part 4 PS: “Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare” IS the worst sequel and should’ve make this list
I would say Final Destination 4 was a bad sequel for the franchise. it wasn't as bad these but I was disappointed and at times confused. The people died as if they were made out of jelly, the deaths were too illogical, and they directors broke the rules of who dies.
Even though these are bad sequels i still love em. Watched alot of them on vhs tape due to my mom being a huge horror fan i remember being a kid and loving carrie 2 and seeing parts of the exorcist.
The Final Destination (the 4th movie) should've been on this list. Horrible production value, poor acting, lack of suspense, and over reliance on CGI and 3D gimmicks make it laughably bad.
I like to think that each movie is real life in an alternate reality. And sometimes they know it's a movie and even Freddy Kruger would break the 4th wall and be all "Seriously? This is what's happening?"
Boss Man Yes. It was about his son who was born normal but when he reached pu erty or something like that, he started to change into a fly. It's a poor sequel.
Troll 2 is more of a sequel in name only. It spawned the “Oh my Gawd” meme. It’s supposed to be unrelated to the original film from 1986. Everything in Troll 2 is so bad that it’s hilarious!
1.) Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever 2.) The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation 3.) The Exorcist II: The Heretic 4.) The Omen IV: The Awakening 5.) Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare 6.) Halloween II (2009) 7.) Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning 8.) Seed of Chucky 9.) Jaws: The Revenge ( It is so bad,it's good) 10.) Pet Sematary II
Not to forget C.H.U.D. 2: Bud the Chud, Return of the Living Dead 2, The hills have eyes 2 (1984), Hannibal Rising, Creepshow 3, Evil Dead 3: Army of darkness, Hellraiser 3! :D
Instead of "Jason X" how about Part 5 with fake Jason? Instead of "A Nightmare on Elm Street 2" how about Part 5 Instead of "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" how about "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer"?
Jason Goes to Hell was far worse, as Jason was hardly in the movie. Jason X is so bad its good.
Chris O'Keeffe I actually liked Jason X better than most of the rest of the series.
Chris O'Keeffe Jason goes to hell explains how he comes back. he needs his blood relative to be resurrected.
the only redeeming thing about Jaso. goes to hell was the fact that it set up the worst fight possible between him and Freddy.
Chris O'Keeffe I personally hated the fifth movie because Jason wasn't even in it.
Lilgozzy'splace1 Oh come on, "Freddy Vs. Jason" was fuckin' awesome!
Did we _really_ need sequels to Blair Witch?
+Sena Kashiwazaki Apparently so.
As much as you need more meat...
Which I could say that as Yozora...
The 2016 sequel wasn't too bad. Certainly way more faithful to the original.
Sena Kashiwazaki we didnt even need blair witch
Well, technically no, but it did put a relatively unexplored film sub-genre on the map and had a lot of clever ideas and even more clever execution.
Seed Of Chucky should've been on this list or at least a dishonorable mention.

Jason Goes To Hell is A Lot Worse Than Jason X And You Forgot To Put The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation In The List.
the third IKWYDLS was the worst of the series
Even though these are bad sequels i still love em. Watched alot of them on vhs tape due to my mom being a huge horror fan i remember being a kid and loving carrie 2 and seeing parts of the exorcist.
The exorcist 2, starring Amy Schummer
The Final Destination (the 4th movie) should've been on this list. Horrible production value, poor acting, lack of suspense, and over reliance on CGI and 3D gimmicks make it laughably bad.
Worst sequels ? More like so bad they were good horror films! 👍🏽
That was a very young Dana Plato in the Exorcist 2 clip. My first celebrity 😍 crush. R.I.P. 😥
Halloween III: Season of the Witch
SnappingTurtle801 Halloween 6 curse of Michael Myers
SnappingTurtle801 yes yes it sucked shit.
The theatrical cut of _Halloween 6_, yes, was pretty bad. The Producer's Cut, on the other hand, is fantastic. Better than _any_ of the other sequels.
multitudeofidols really? Halloween H20 exists
8 more days till Halloween, Halloween, Halloween.
8 more days till Halloween, Silver Shamrock!
I like to think that each movie is real life in an alternate reality. And sometimes they know it's a movie and even Freddy Kruger would break the 4th wall and be all "Seriously? This is what's happening?"
They made a sequel to The Fly?
Boss Man
Yes. It was about his son who was born normal but when he reached pu erty or something like that, he started to change into a fly. It's a poor sequel.
Boss Man Yeah, but even the original 50s version had a sequel as well.
Troll 2 is more of a sequel in name only. It spawned the “Oh my Gawd” meme. It’s supposed to be unrelated to the original film from 1986. Everything in Troll 2 is so bad that it’s hilarious!
I love horror movies. This list made me regret that love.
1.) Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever
2.) The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation
3.) The Exorcist II: The Heretic
4.) The Omen IV: The Awakening
5.) Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare
6.) Halloween II (2009)
7.) Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning
8.) Seed of Chucky
9.) Jaws: The Revenge ( It is so bad,it's good)
10.) Pet Sematary II

You could say that these movies are, _horri-ble_, eh? Eh?
With Jason X, it's like they were all super drunk and one of them yelled; "JASON WENT TO HELL? F THAT, HES GOING TO SPACE!!"
Jaws 3 was a 1000 times worst than the revenge.
Jodie Ashenden Agreed
I agree but I have not seen jaws4 the revenge I loved jaws1,jaws2 but the 3rd is crap!!!
Jodie Ashenden No Way, it had much more fun and good kills, The Revenge just wasn't fun, it think it was a little bit boring.
Jodie Ashenden no it actually had a story to a degree that made sense
They're both really bad, but I feel Revenge is a bit worse. 2 was okay for a sequel though.
Freddy's Revenge is Incredibly underrated!
Lake placid 2 3
only the first one was any good lol
Not to forget C.H.U.D. 2: Bud the Chud, Return of the Living Dead 2, The hills have eyes 2 (1984), Hannibal Rising, Creepshow 3, Evil Dead 3: Army of darkness, Hellraiser 3! :D
Instead of "Jason X" how about Part 5 with fake Jason?
Instead of "A Nightmare on Elm Street 2" how about Part 5
Instead of "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" how about "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer"?
OH MY GAAAAAAAAAWD I knew Troll 2 was gonna be number one!
I liked some of these 😁
Same.
I still know what did last summer was good
Jonathan Lopez Right
Garbage Day is legendary. I'll thank you to not speak ill of Silent Night Deadly Night 2.
WHO THE FUCK CARES THE SWITCH IS HYPE
Hayden A YES
