We were definitely thinking weathervane as Matt said - the fact that they were mirror images of eachother and had a slot in the bottom helped us (somewhat) confirm it, hah!
It’s so fun watching you and the Quarter Hoarder gang, two of my favorite pod casters along with Brad in VT. Now if you can go to Scotland and hook up with John, the Scottish Detectorist, that’s a movie!!! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Tyler! I’ve got some footage from that field we saw you in that’ll be released soon - unfortunately I think I walked back up to the parking area before you found a copper! 😆
Well done Stef. Looks like you all had a great time. Finds are great but it is the banter with mates that is golden. Looked like there was a lot of gold there. Catch you next week. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍
What a fun weekend Stef and I really enjoy seeing it from your perspective. Loved your late night Barber and of course, your tiny little mystery man! Lol. Looking forward to your part 2
Thanks Jason! The night time spill was so fun, lol. At least I tried not to blind you TOO much. 😆 So glad I showed you the “lipstick tube” - it would’ve been lost in a drawer somewhere unopened if you weren’t around to tell me about the little man! 😂
That hunt looks like an excellent Time. Love it when you and Jason get to hunt together. The Air B&B had so many goodies. The Shoe Buckle Beautiful. Doug's Walker Half Dollar your night time Coin Spill amazing. Did Nicki find the Beautiful Button there or the other permissions. The Religious Piece Stef is amazing. I would love to find one of those. I've watched a few videos where people have dug them up. Love all the Coppers Reale and Relics that were found. Take Care Stef Crazie Digging
Thank you! It’s tough to keep the footage as non-repetitive as possible when you know another creator is putting out content from the same hunts, so I appreciate you pointing that out. 😊
I loves your vids Stef,Ive been digging up stuff way back when I was 7 years old, I have found lots of old bottles and now I have been using a metal detector ever since because of you. And I can't wait to show you what I find. Don't be jealous I'm 64 now.
Awesome finds there! That's pretty amazing that Noone hit that place hard 😆 Under the sea 😆 Good times and finds! Can't wait to see part 2! ✌️ Wicked happy hunting!
@ I know, it’s been getting tough to find good sites! Connecticut is easily one of the most competitive states in the country - almost every door I’ve ever knocked on has been hit before, or it’s a “no” (even when it’s just me knocking). Nice to get away from this state sometimes, hah!
@StefDigs yes absolutely hear that! I got a virgin cellar hole about a month and a half ago. Been hitting it just about weekly since and just got the first silver from there Tuesday! I've had quite a few people there too. 1773 half reale, right in front of the cellar hole where we have all walked a ton and have found buttons and stuff right there. So crazy!
Awesome. Love seeing your finds and it helps me to get over the fact that we have over 6 feet of snow here in Central Canada and there is a light ahead of the tunnel,,,LOL,,,Spring cant come soon enough,,,,,LOL,,,,,
Great vid Steph!!! Highly enjoyed!! Looking forward to part 2!! Alot of civil war soldiers carried the little religious saint with them. Congrats Steph!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍😅
Because I follow both you and the QH crew, I had seen his versions of the CC trip, and of course, being a resident, really wished I was out there with you, just to meet you all and say hello. Messaged with Eric and perhaps we'll make that happen in the future. Greatly enjoyed re-living a bunch of the B&B finds and look forward to the 2nd part. We've got some incredibly old sites on the Cape, as you witnessed!
What an amazing hunt! I wonder if the two fish pieces could be a mold - aspic dishes were really common in the 1800's and I've seen a lot of them that were set in fish molds. Just my guess! ❤
Dandy buttons are generally 1770-1800, pretty much what you mentioned. However, gilded buttons without a backmark can go back as far as the late 1700s. The one I found in this video with a backmark is almost certainly about 1810-1840 at the very latest. Lots of resources available for dating buttons.
@@StefDigs I'm starting my event on Connorstock or Connorfest in Maryland and invite a bunch of UA-camrs with me so maybe you want to join me in 2027 or 2028. It's a large piece of property.

Nice finds. I think the fish is the top of a Cod Weathervane. Pretty common on the cape.
Totally! They’re mirror images of each other, so that was our top guess.
It was so nice having you all up here! Got a crazy feeling it will not be your last trip up here!! @thecapecodfather
I have a feeling we’ll be up again VERY soon. 😉
Could the fish be both halves of a weather vane?? I hope so because it would be the coolest one ever!
Ooh, good one. I was thinking half a cake pan.
We were thinking weather vane. where both pieces were found was near the home,so maybe. They stayed behind with the homeowner.
We were definitely thinking weathervane as Matt said - the fact that they were mirror images of eachother and had a slot in the bottom helped us (somewhat) confirm it, hah!

I’ve gotta start counting how many times I’ve been told I should go to Scotland and meet up with John, lol! He’s awesome!
I just love the pocket shrine!! That's something that would have been very special to someone. Congrats!! Thanks Stef!! Looking forward to part 2❤❤❤
Thank you! One of my favorite finds of the weekend!
The fish thing could be from an old Wind Vane or Weather Vane. It points in the direction the wind is blowing, If I'm correct. Happy Hunting!
I think you’re right! We figured it might be part of a weathervane considering the fish were mirror images of each other. Pretty cool!
Great footage of great trip!! Thanks Stef❤❤
Thank you!
Great Video! This was the weekend I randomly met you guys on Sunday!!! Hopefully we can detect together back on Cape Cod soon!

Look likes an awesome time. My first 1800 silver was a 1892-O barber dime. Good stuff as always Stef!!
Thank you!
Congrats on the first year O Barber dime! I know you had a blast on the Cape! Looking forward to next week’s video. Cheers from Bridgeport!
Thanks Mark! That’s actually my 2nd O mint coin, my first was a 1902 Barber dime - I rarely find coins with that mint!
YESSSSS!!!!!!
Love the excitement! 😆
Very cool hunt love the lil statue at the end God Bless and happy dirt fishin…Virgil

Congrats on the o mint barber . Got my first o mint year before last 1907 half
That’s awesome! I’ve got only 2 O mint coins in my dug collection, the other was also a Barber dime (1902). Would love a big silver with that mint!
Awesome finds Stef

Stef, i think I may be able to help with the identification of the thin, bare silver coin.

Too bad you can’t detect on the south coast, the national seashore. Great video Stef. Some super finds.
Thank you! Yeah, that would be a dream!

Thanks for watching!
What was the other item at the bottom of your 10 PM crater hole?
There wasn't anything other than the 2 coins. I think they said it was a false reading.
Yes, false reading - we were ever so hopeful with that high tone, too. 😆 A bent nail got the best of both of us!
The whole coins an O. Quarter hoarder king of the dad jokes. Lmao
100%! 😂 Takes 10 seconds to figure out he’s a dad, haha.
Dandy buttons are from 1770's-1795 and gold gilded buttons are from 1860's-1870's. I found both of them in the Berkshire Mountains three years ago.

I feel like I’ve met dogtag Doug and I haven’t. Seems like a great guy.
He’s an awesome guy! Some of his jokes have to stay on the editing room floor, though. 🤣

I had neighbors buried catholic saints statues for a blessings
I’ve heard of that! Also, they buried them superstitiously to sell homes - interesting history!
