I read The Last Garden in England in January 2022. I gave it 5 stars so I really liked it. I just started The House in the Cerulean Sea so far so good. I'm just 46 pages into it but I loved Under the Whispering Door. I chickened out on Holly I knew the guy and the beginning was in deep trouble .
Oh, yeah - deep trouble for sure! It's a good mystery/thriller so far, and I love the main character (and just how King writes characters in general), but it it definitely a gruesome one! The House in the Cerulean Sea is the exact opposite! It's so full of joy and hope - hope you enjoy it!
Yay! I LOVED that novel - it's especially good on audio - perfect narrator. Yes, it is heartbreaking but also hilarious - I loved that combination. Enjoy!
You might be interested in a BBC show called Land Girls. It used to be on Netflix, but I don't know if it still is. It's based on a novel that I've bought but haven't read yet. The show follows an estate farm with several of these land girls who work together, as well as soldiers who are nearby and the people of the house and farm. I found it really interesting!

I’m reading/listening to demon copperhead. Little more than 100 pages in and loving it even though it is heartbreaking.
