Is that the 3 battle tomes that are out currently? That's blooming epic to see set out like that 😮 The army is beautiful also but that is a lovely touch with the tomes! 😊
The tomes are from the previous editions:) plus in background I've the order rulebooks (2nd edition book is fantastic for lore) and the realmgate wars book. Plus some stormcast novels 🤓
Such a well painted army, I can tell you've put some good effort in this. I hope you are as proud of them as we are impressed with them. Appreciate the video!

@@War_Hammered Its a miniatures agnostic game made so you can use your 40k minis for it. Its quite good, well worth a look if you do every find yourself looking for a 40k adjacent game system. And its free.
Very nicely painted army you have the edge highlights really make the models pop! And that's not that big a pile of shame. You'll probably have these painted soon?

Those are beautiful, eye catching colour combination. Love the idea of having epic moments immortalised in art and comics. My favourite Stormcast are Silver Tower Knight Questor, Lord Castellant, Paladin Retributors with those topknots and warhammers, Vandis Hammerhand on Dracolith and Lord Arcanum on Gryph-Charger.
I really love the colour scheme you've gone for they really pop on the board, and regarding what you said about the Narrative side of these battles and having Comic art done for the more memorable moments is a great idea. Have you thought about introducing small Trophies on your Characters after these moments? Like adding pieces of a Gargant/Keeper of secrets onto Yndrastas Base (I'm sure it'll get very busy eventually) but a small bit here and there I think would add a lot!
@JimWorthPainting thanks mate! And again that's a very good idea! Kinda why I really like models that have their enemies on the bases. I others aren't fans but I think it's cool. The stormcast with the minotaur head is wicked. As for trophies. That's a good idea. At the moment I'm working on a alchemist force and a war forger to go with. Idea being of him being like a quest giver. Having a trophy or something mounted to his terrain piece would be sick 🤩
This is literally one of my favourite armies you have done. I remember seeing them back when AOS first came out and I was in awe of how gorgeous they were!

Do you paint all your own models?! They are stunning, mate! Making me want to work on my own massive pile of shame... It does make me sad though that GW are retiring so many awesome ScE models.
@opesam thanks! yeah man I paint all my own stuff! 😁 it's a shame but I think alot are just getting new sculpts. The Knight Azyros for example :) I'll still use the legends rules for any retired going forward. This ain't a competitive channel after all 💪🏻😎
@War_Hammered yeah, I'm still going to run them as proxies for new models. I don't play big competitive GW tournaments, just casual local ones, so no one will care as long as I'm clear in the army intros, I would guess.
DAMN awesome dude! I remember being so into the Warhammer MMO years ago and got super into the lore and LOVED the Witch Hunters (Mathias Thulmann & Brunner Bounty Hunter was my FAVORITE Black Libary Books). So is AoS an extension of the Old World or something completely new? I have to leaen more about AoS but I am so into the Grey Knights (WE ARE THE HAMMER!) and WH40k not sure I have the time lol.
Think of Age of Sigmar more like how Hollywood does 'Soft reboots' you know where they sort of do the same thing. But different. But the older thing still exists lol. Example being that some God level characters are in Age of Sigmar from the Old world as they survived the aeons in void until the mortal realms formed. Good way for GW to revisit old characters and armies. Give them a new updated range and lore. With nods to what came before. Lumineth Realm lords are a prime example :)
@Intercore222 thank you :) and I don't even know how to turn an airbrush on 😅 never used one. Like I said in the video I scale up my painting depending on the level of the model. Rank and file get basecoats. Wash. Tidy and highlight. Then as the units get more important I'll deepen the shades. And mix the highlights in to create a more natural transition:) My channel is new so I'm still trying to figure out exactly how I'm going to film and edit painting videos tbh lol
@Intercore222 yeah man no worries. The blue is basecoated macragge blue. Then basecoated sotek green (two thin coats) Recess/panel line wash with coelia greenshade Tidy with sotekgreen. Highlight with temple guard blue (ya can blend this with sotek for characters to build up the colour) Blue glowy eyes are easy. Just a white dot then wash over thinned temple guard blue. Red and cream monsters are rakarth. Then reikland fleshshade. Rakarth again then pallid wychflesh. Red areas are khorne red Nuln oil Highlight with evil sunz scarlet I'll usually thin glaze the red with blood angels red contrast. Highlight again. Then use ratskin flesh for a final Highlight:) Hope that helps. Lemme know if you try it out.
Comics to imortalize the battles is an unreal idea will you show them off to us when you have them commisioned ? So few more things i wanna ask in comments attached if you get a min and wouldn't mind answering
Where do you get the self restraint to keep a whole dragon army still in boxes will you show them off when they're up please I need to see the scaly good bois ?!?

Awesome army! I'm new in aos, veteran in 40k, but I start collecting stormcast and slaves to darkness, last year, due to the inmense quality of miniatures (higher than 40k ones, actually) This has inspired me to start painting my stormcast. I have decided for a similar scheme but with emerald or turquoise green in the armour (maybe sybarite green with terradon turqoise), and for the secondary colour an orange/red one (maybe mephiston red, wash with goregruntas, lights with wild rider red or jokaeros orange). Can I ask what is your technique for painting the red cloaks? They are awesome and smooth. And I am curious about the black/grey horns of the dragon, and the black coat of Yndrasta. Which colours are they? And where is from the shield of Yndrasta? Fits very well in the model, more balanced than the original. Thanks in advance and hope you make tutorials for stormcast painting fun!
@agility8 hey 👋 thanks very much! Glad you are stepping into AOS. It's a fantastic game and setting. So the way I do my red stormcast cloaks. I basecoat them solid khorne red. Then I recess wash with nuln oil. Then I use a mix of nuln. Fresh tearers red and contrast medium. To Then blend out the black recess out to the khorne red. After that a highlight of wazzadakka red. Done. Yndrastas shields is from the old upgrade sprues they did for the Stormcast. I believe that one is a Celestial Warbringers shield. I'll be doing painting videos next year mate so keep an eye out ! 😁💪🏻
