Best looking S model I've seen. Love SV's in any configuration. Just purchased a blue, bronze frame and wheels '23 SV. This bike is a blast. I can tell you're well versed in bikeology. thanks.
Purchased a 2006 naked model second hand in the summer of 2009. I had just turned 17 that summer and earned my motorcycle license weeks prior to the purchase of the machine. This was my first venture into the wonderful world of “street motorcycling”! I had about 12 years of off-road riding/racing under my belt by the time I made my way out onto the streets aboard my beloved bright red naked Suzuki Sv650. I am now 29, I have been fortunate enough to slowly acquire a number of super bikes and various other motorcycles that peaked my interest. But no matter how much more advanced, powerful, expensive, exclusive, and generally impressive the vehicles in my collection have become, I would be lying if I said any one of them speaks to me the same way my old red Suzuki does. I had sold it to a college friend back in 2015 and recently purchased it back from him for that very reason haha! It truly is the Swiss Army knife of the entry level motorcycle world. There’s just nothing it doesn’t do well! I have very similar modifications on my machine including but not limited to; a Yoshimura exhaust system, a power commander, an intake, and various other cosmetic and comfort modifications. What a beautiful machine you have! I have learned my lesson and will never part ways with it ever again! Cheers from Chicago 🇺🇸🏍
Thanks for watching BigBlock what a great tale you have to tell. I'll pass your comments on to my cousin Stephen. He love that bike and will hang onto it for sure. He's got another machine from 1928 that we'll be featuring soon. Any other machines you would like us to feature? Well as them to the list to track down. @@TwistgripTales I’m glad it is bringing him joy, as I always has for me! I can’t wait to see your vintage machine! I do always enjoy Learning about them. Here’s an interesting topic for you… The Bimota tesi h2 (and the a vyrus 987 it later Spawned). Very interesting engineering and story. Just a start
I have the 2010s model, one of the best bikes I've had for petrol consumption, & I've had five 600cc bikes, my old gsxr600 used a lot more petrol. And the sv is also a great bike to do the distance, with that lovely V engine, I do about 150 mile's a day on a weekend ride out. Watching from England👍🇬🇧.
Great bikes but as my cousin has stated They have a tendency to get people pregnant So keep an eye on that Can't wait to get back to the UK again For some 2 wheeled touring Cheers from downunder Bruce n Lachlan ps our family roots are in Lancashire
@@TwistgripTales Great place Lancashire, I worked there 12 years before coming back to North Yorkshire. One of our best rides here is the B1257 from Helmsley car park (full of bikers in summer) to stokesley , the views are beautiful going up to the mountain's, its known here as the Yorkshire TT. See Internet for more information. B1257, Helmsley to Stokes UK- Total 911
Hey there old Y G G yes they are a great bike. They do everything competently and have good all around performance So enjoy your Blue. As my cousin Stephen does his. This Suzuki is a keeper. Thanks for watching Cheers Bruce
S vs N : S model features the half-fairing, and lower Clip-ons (shorter throttle and clutch cables), for the spirited riders. N model features a more UJM standard handlebar configuration with 7” round headlight and no fairing, but doesn’t stop a spirited rider from having fun! Nobody asked, but I own a standard ‘00 Curvy, currently doing a clip-on conversion with GP shifting.
Thanks for watching Coach. You won't be disappointed with the bike. Make sure you get a name brand exhaust. If you have any other machines you'd like us the feature? Please let us know. Cheers Bruce n Lachlan
Listen, good microphone! Just make sure you take sample of tone from behind the bike its more accurate. You can see how much better it sounds as you move the mic.
don't let them fool you....besides the bikini fairing, the pegs are up higher and further back than the naked. The S also has clip-ons instead of bars, and the 2003 model has a subframe that angles up, making the seat height close to 32inches.
Thanks for watching Reg It's a great bike the "S" We'll have to do a k9 review An original and a new one An interesting comparison If you've still got your k9 still? Maybe we could zoom chat with you? Give it some thought Cheers Bruce n Lachlan
There is always an opportunity to spice your life up a bit and add a little music to that SV650 of yours. Let us know how it goes and sounds. Thanks for watching. Cheers Bruce
Thanks for watching Clayton The biggest difference is of course that fairing. You mention the different handlebar configuration and it goes on. Shorter wheel base courtesy of sharper steering angle different drive ratio and exhaust system. The S is an all around sharper machine. Stephens is a lovely low Kms example and it hasn't got him pregnant. Be careful of that if you buy an S model. Let us know if there is anything you would like us to feature? Thanks for watching Aiem Up till 2002 the SV650 made 65hp then there was an big upgrade and right through to the end of the production run in 2014 they made a very spirited 75 hp. Bought a 1999 naked model 8 years ago and love it does everything you want to me its the modern yamaha LC a great fun bike
I have a 1999 S model with a Dynojet kit fitted and wouldn't ever get rid of it, great bike.
What does the kit add, in your experience? Worth the money?
@@reinierweerts6923 as far as i know it changes the jets in your carbs therefore making a bit more power i believe

Always garaged and used on long country tours. Not Stephens everyday rider
