For high school, there are also some large information-based classes. As a senior, I am taking an Anatomy class and it's definitely a lot of infromation. At the beginning of the semester, I just took notes but didn't study them and made horrible on tests, like '60s and '70s. If I get lucky, I would receive 80s. I found out about Anki and from that point on, i've made nothing but 90s or higher, and in the process, I still had a life outside of study, because it cut study time in half. In the beginning, I averaged a 71 and now I'm about to end it with a 93. I wish high school would at least encourage these type of techniques into the system.
I have bad grades in chemistry and physics and I needed some help in those and seeing ur progress I guess I should give flashcards a try honestly I didn't heard of them cause they ain't a trend here before this I didn't even knew what they are
Thanks for your video. I will definitely stay with Quizlet, since I'm not a programmer and use it on my smart phone. But I would skip to Anki if it wasn't longing to creat a simple flashcard. Thanks for the insides.
I already use quizlet and i'm testing Anki now. the anki add-ons are the best part (just found an add-on that imports flashcards from quizlet in a few clicks, yay!) and also the fact that i can add pics and edit fonts for free is great. on the other hand, the interface is just hideous, making me not even want to open the app. why do all the open source app have horrible interfaces?
I agree the user interface isn't great, but I believe this is because they have a small team and put their efforts into functionality rather than aesthetics. Thanks for watching!
I think I won't even test it after 2-3 videos on youtube now. I know it's amazing to feed your app with difficulties, however it's not necessary to have to program and edit so much things around it. I keep Anki in the mind, but for the moment it's yet too comfortable to stick with Quizlet...
Amazing explanation, thanks a lot Aman! Just wondering, how do you handle it when there are too many flashcards to review daily? The algorithm then because useless. Thank you very much.
Here is the thing, I am a spanish teacher in Taiwan, and to be honest, my students are not going to go through the trouble, so if I make the stacks of flashcards.......can I give'em to them? They don't need to pay, I don't need to pay? Also those flicker images are pretty bad, I rather pay and upload my own.
You are the definition of underrated. Great video! Was using Quizlet but I will switch to Anki now.
Thanks!
Completely agree
