Amazing that her live performance of this tune is just as great as the studio version. Obviously, she is a born performer/entertainer who can play creatively throughout a string of live concert dates... Can’t be done unless one has the passion, as these four great players have.
Somebody gave me this DVD randomly one day (I had never heard of her) and it quickly became a permanent fixture in my player. I saw the guy who loaned it to me a few weeks later and I told him he wasn’t getting it back. One of the best live performances caught on camera.
Ohhhh Diane your so cool, beautiful and full of jazz. Love every thing about you babe. Keep on swinging, life is short and I live for your music and beauty. Groove on babe. Rango8
These are simply, consummate professionals playing at their peak of talent and completely in tune with each other! Check out Devil May Care with this same group! AWESOME! What a concert this would have been to be at!!!!
She is great and does this tune very nicely, but before you pronounce this "one of the greatest piano solos ever", you need to go find some records by Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, Mary Lou Williams, Erroll Garner, Ahmad Jamal, Duke Ellington... Diana is a very good pianist and a singer with a great feel for phrasing, an all-around entertainer and artist, but do a little more homework before you get too carried away with the superlatives.
But you see... they’re all gone, and DK dedicated her life to learning the style of all those you listed and carrying on the live jazz tradition in the 21st century. She does is with great creativity, expertise, and above all, swing.
Nothing to add except amazing and watch Diane Krall in Paris on Prime. And all the musicians.

Jeff Hamilton, John Clayton, Anthony Wilson, Diana Krall. Fabulous. Just fabulous.
The lovely & talented Diana Krall with my very favorite jazz drummer, Jeff Hamilton. John Clayton on bass doesn't hurt any. People, this is swing.

Big fan of Diane Krall but I don't really care for her version of Deed I Do. Diane Schuur and Joe Williams version is excellent
Who are the 6 idiots who didn't like this ?
Yeah, hard to say, definitely!? Dunno, maybe they were expecting the Ruth Etting version or something, but I like both myself...
guitarist looks like Nardwuar
What a great mistake not to marry Anthony Wilson.
