Funny how everyone forgets when she was drunk with white privilege, and was belligerent with a cop, and nothing happened to her career. But a black guy makes one mistake at the oscars, and the world loses its collective mind.
will smith has a film coming out in December and possibly another Oscar nomination coming next year but he doesn't need to sot through boring award shows. so it seems like everyone has forgiven him.
@@nikitamohanan2124 I think Joey's point was Reese's mistake wasn't blown out of proportion the way Will's was. The Reese video was on the entertainment news Channels for a couple days. We all laughed about it and it was over. The Oscar moment was blown up for months! as if it was the first time something crazy or unexpected had happened on live television.
@@StudiousSu Will Smith himself made it a bigger scandal with his actions. After making his mistake, the Academy requested him to leave the room. He refused and ignored their warning. So that just added fuel to his mistake and scandal! What were they supposed to do? Physically manhandle and assault him to get him to leave the venue??? So don't make this a race issue when it isn't! He and his wife made it into a big explosive deal themselves not the public! Most of the audience including me didn't even understand that G.I.Jane joke!
