Looks like a nice piece. I see where your brain says "hey, there should be something that ties these together." It would add a wee bit more stability in a car you were going to autocross but for a daily/show cruiser the factory probably had it right from the go. Going to do the full suspension replacement on the '64 here this coming weekend. Your efforts will prove to have been a huge help in prepping for the project. Great work Sam.
For the most part I only use anti-cease on blind bolts and exhaust pieces. No one ever wants a blind bolt of a bolt or lets say a O2 sensor to freeze into the threads so the next time you need to pull it the bolt breaks. one a shock tower bolt where I can get to both sides I prob wouldn't worry about the bolt seizing because in that situation you have lots of options.
Hello SamI hear you refer to your job sometimes. What type of work do you do? Also, have you tallied up where you are in expenses? I'm just curious to know how many tools have you bought for this project. Hopefully these questions aren't too personal. I'm restoring a 1962 Impala and I know the credit card can run up quickly.
I would rather not say what type of work I do at this time. As for the expenses on this project I am way behind on on tallying up all the receipts I have, but last time I checked it was over $10K and that's not counting all the tools I have bought. I am going to try and catch up on expenses cause I'm curious where I'm at. Been paying cash as I go cause I hate using the credit card as you say it doesn't take long to run it up. Thanks for watching.
Hey Sam, random question, I believe it was that tintable bed liner from upol thats underneath right? Was it base coat that you can tint it with or did it have to be raw basecoat without something in it?
Gary Rubino Yes they say you have to leave the binder out. When I asked the guy at the paint store what the binder was he said the binder gives the base coat a little gloss so they leave it out so it will bond with the raptor liner. If that makes any sense.
hey if you want to complete the rear end put the left upper control arm , then your car will be complete...those only came in 409 cars ...heres the link : www.ebay.com/itm/CHEVY-CHEVROLET-IMPALA-SS-BELAIR-61-62-63-64-348-409-4TH-LINK-REAR-END-BRACKET/151521071995?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

Hey there Sam, so far I've seen most of your videos, nice work - coming along nicely. Question for ya, what brand are those shocks ? Thanks.
Don MacLeod They are QA1 shocks, thanks for watching
Wow, $125 ea
I think those shocks went in upside down. I believe the fluid should be on top.
They only fit one way
I watched him make it in one of his videos.
Carolina Man Definitely a good product
