I completely LOVE that the most replayed thing is the goodbyes at the end - I replayed it like 6 times before checking the timeline to see if it was the most replayed part.
Yep. I was thinking that a hint might be ‘these displays had two wires that could be faintly seen in the display’, since that was sort of an instant hint that it was a Trinitron monitor or TV. The wires held the aperture grille, which was the distinguishing chars of Trinitron displays.
Same here! Trinitron for Sony was like Retina for Apple. It was a big deal at a time and also it was superior to regular TVs. Sony could make a CRT screen in a shape of a part of cylinder, instead a part of a sphere which was very close to flat screen.
I have a seperate soft corner for all your waveform podcast episodes and clips, except for the phone and car reviews of the world, people have come to know you from. As a seasoned listener, I always wait and sometimes re watch the video podcast even after listening to the audio version. The Easter eggs are worth it.
I like how young guys like Marques who are USA-residents actually have a genuine interest in science now. Not all of them are complete illiterate idiots luckily.
I usually listen to podcasts while sleeping and I love to listen to your podcast but ads in the middle with loud music really annoys me. I wish you do the ads first or something. Just a suggestion. Big fan
Trinitron was so easy if you are 43. It was more prominent than Bravia recently. Everyone had a Trinitron TV! :) If you did not have a Trinitron, you did not have a proper TV.
Yes, I agree. And I'm so happy to find that David is doing the first really well-informed interview with a NASA expert to highlight some features of the photos and to compare them with images from the Hubble telescope. BRAVO David !
Nothing is the new OnePlus, everywhere in news feed but nothing to make it sell in the end. Plus what's up with the minimalist Apple Logo light at the back?!
I’ll believe Nothing’s ecosystem claims when I see them. I’m especially skeptical of them saying their ecosystem will integrate third party products. If that was practical and profitable to do, someone else would’ve done it by now.
I really love the waveform podcast. Been a religious listener since it started. I usually listen to the audio while I commute but it’s getting harder and harder since there are visuals. Great production… I just keep feeling like I’m missing out without committing an hour to sit down and watch it instead of playing it in the background like I do with all the podcasts I listen to.
How did y'all not know the Trinitron one even after the answer?? It's a classic piece of tech history, my parents never even had one but they're still sought-after for classic games
Does Andrew just not watch MKBHD because he doesn't have the time/interest or because it is more informative to talk with someone who didn't watch the video (for the viewers/listeners who also didn't watch the video) ?
I spend a lot of my time bouncing between projects at the studio so a lot of time I have quite a bit to do with the process, but not as much with the final product. Most of the stuff I know about is from experiencing it in the studio or talking with Marques about things, but sometimes not sure what is said or how things are said in the final video!
I urge you guys to have on Dave Weiss to discuss our beautiful Earth. He has a channel called DIRTH on UA-cam and does interviews with people who still believe the Earth is a spinning globe in a vast space. He is offering 3 bitcoins if anyone can provide just one proof of the heliocentric model. I personally know what the Earth isn't now and that is what mainstream preaches. Hope to see you guys on his show one day! God bless...
Fast charging is way more important than wireless charging Given most use cases more probably don't use wireless charging as it can't always go through your case
I'd write Nothing, about some smart watch concepts, but Xiomai did like that I might pitch them some first (maybe for the Turkish factory). Love that gliph, though, & screen gestures are underated. -- Btw: CNET just did a vid on Aptera cars, looking to use Tesla superchargers (if or when they need to).
Why is the phone camera always considered as one of the most important aspect of a phone? I only need the camera for face recognition and scanning qr codes. I'd love to see a phone with good specs and save money by cheaping out on the camera.
I would enjoy waveform more if the guy didn’t keep asking Marques questions then keep interrupting when Marques tries to answer the question. I know it’s a podcast but it’s not a ‘chat over each other about nothing’ podcast. The info and informal opinions Marques has is important.
Its a midranger soc whise, so when you talk about that, remember the soc is semi weak. Hell its 1 gen old midrange snapdragon chip. Since its the 77x series. 8-12gb mem imo is fine for any phone still. but the 6gb varriant is also mem whise within mid(or even 1-2 gens old midrangers).
Earth is between JWST and the Sun, so the telescope would be blinded by sunlight if it tried to take a photo of Earth, instantly damaging the very sensitive instruments onboard.
It’s funny how popular you guys think these photos are. The average person has not even seen these photos and I havnt heard or seen a single person talk about it or have it as their wallpaper
As soon as the Webb photos came out this week, I immediately thought of David and his podcast a few months ago. Exciting!
Love these space themed podcasts, definitely want more..

I got the Trinitron question instantly. Every Sony display of any kind from the 80's to early 2000's had the branding all over them.
Same!
Yep. I was thinking that a hint might be ‘these displays had two wires that could be faintly seen in the display’, since that was sort of an instant hint that it was a Trinitron monitor or TV. The wires held the aperture grille, which was the distinguishing chars of Trinitron displays.
I was shouting it at my screen!
I'm glad that I knew the answer to something that these guys didn't know 🤣

Thank you technology connections for teaching me about trinitron
I am fascinated by the images of JWST
Love the JWST content. Make more space content.
Those pictures are so amazing, I'm star struck 😍
Images you mean. Nasa admits there are no real photos of space according to Rob Simmons.
I'm shocked no one got Trinitron. It was on every Sony CRT product from as far back as I can remember until the early 2000s
Those early sony trinitron tvs ... Way back then
They weren't born in the 80s and was probably too young in early 2000s to remember
I think Andrew should write down all the business ideas 😂
Starting it now, I should really start to keep count of how many times Andrew touches his mic in every episode lol.
I usually listen to podcasts while sleeping and I love to listen to your podcast but ads in the middle with loud music really annoys me. I wish you do the ads first or something.

Love the NASA segment!
I watched this episode only because David was on it. More David please.

The dude clearly does his research prior to being in these. I always enjoy having him on .
I felt sooo smart for knowing Trinitron when they made it seem to be the most obscure thing haha

You think this is still an issue?
Who all came back to watch it again after a year ❤❤
Need another episode. Yearly updates on what the best discoveries of the previous year were. "Best" being defined however you want lol
Unrelated but Marques’ Pride Edition Apple Watch band made me like him 1000x more. What a great guy!
How did y'all not know the Trinitron one even after the answer?? It's a classic piece of tech history, my parents never even had one but they're still sought-after for classic games
It would be cool to see the JWST study the Alpha Centauri system. Especially because it’s the closest
I don't believe any observations are scheduled as yet, but I would be very surprised if they never point JWST that way.

Personal preference! Nothing too complicated!
@@Manganellia1 Thanks for the reply! Guess it does boil down to how would you like your voice to sound.
I'm not actually older than any of you (I'm only 27) but I got Trinitron immediately because the TV we had in my living room was branded with it
You made a whole season of a show called Retro Tech and don't even know the word Trinitron?

Come on guys.... Trinitron! Once synonymous for the cream of the crop, especially when they made the "flat screen" Iconic
"Carl is listening"He sure does
I got the 2nd question right.
I got the Sony question right after the last hint.
Sony Trinitron was used in their older tube TVs if you used the TVs in the past
Great episode fellas
Fast charging is way more important than wireless charging
Given most use cases more probably don't use wireless charging as it can't always go through your case
Trinitron was written on the TV from sony at the time.

I guessed Trinitron with the Bravia hint 😅
LOL...Now i think you're "F" ing with me. Nice one. ALso, STOP CALLING US PEOPLE OF THE INTERNET.
I got trinitron and I’m 40, so only a bit older than you. They were a big deal in the 80s and 90s.
All retro gamers were screaming Trinitron for that trivia, lol.
Also, I’m only 21 and got it! 😂
Why is the phone camera always considered as one of the most important aspect of a phone?

Definitely a lil older (37) and I was saying Trinitron from the moment I heard Sony mentioned as he asked the question. 😂
Sponsored part was so awkward for andrew and so funny lol xD
I remember the Trinitron brand name on early generation color TVs.
'ce out dude..... 🤙🤙🤙
yay! i got the CRT answer right lol
Those space picture look majestic as h*ck
Why is it saying no views when am literally watching ryt now.
I knew Trinitron but couldn't think of it lol. My mom had a crt that had this lable on the front from the late 90s
But where can I download the images as wallpaper

do anyone know the name of the intro and outro song?

Why it doesn't take pics of earth? and nether the Hubble
Earth is between JWST and the Sun, so the telescope would be blinded by sunlight if it tried to take a photo of Earth, instantly damaging the very sensitive instruments onboard.
